Jayne - Head Office - i would like to add i completely disgusted by your comment.. you cannot compare owners losing their vets with the vets loosing them - you are totally out of order and please keep your comments to yourself .. as state before the vets have a duty of care towards the animals in their care and I expect my cats to be in safe environment .. I really cannot believe your comparison - totally ignorant
dee
Jayne - Head Office - sorry but you really do not know the whole story ... I do blame the vets completely as they left his cage unlocked ..they have a duty of care which they failed in this case ..i expect the vets to care for my pet whilst in their care not loose him .. apart from this their negligence has cost me £3000 -apart from the distress they have caused my cat apart from this they lied about it then insulted me ...so please do not comment on a situation you know nothing about ... thanks everyone for your best wishes

Great news you have found your cat...we do get a lot of cases of pets escaping from vets after they have had trauma...or sense forthcoming trauma! Don't be too hard on the vets...it does happen. Look how many owners loose their pets on this site...I don't blame them either...

So please you have got your cat back, I really would report the vet to the royal colleg...they set the professional standards...website www.rcvs.org.uk

FYI everyone.. i have been reunited with my cat today.. thank you everyone for your shares etc much appreciated

Skywalker99 yes it is appalling but it is worse when the vet calls you a moaner because thye lost the cat and states that ' art least he wont get female cats pregnant on his travels' and all done already and constantly leafleting and postering ... actually been out all today searching and had some good sightings at Lordswood Boys School and the houses surrounding the school .. it seems he is in this vicinity.. not allowed access on to the school premises to search though he has been spotted there on a regular basis..however have been able to leave atrap in a residents garden and am trying to catch him

That's appalling, how on earth can a vet loose a patient?. I would report the vet to his professional body. The only other suggestion I can make is poster, poster, poster round where he was last seen.

janiejewel1649 -thanks but either not applicable or already done - my cat did not go missing from home. My cat was lost by my vet- now ex vet- when he went in for a castration hence why I know where he was last seen.. he is lost in a strange area very far from his home - so thanks for your interest but the comments are not applicable. i check every site etc all the time and have registered him missing on every site I know - so thanks but already done

Fair enough. He has to be somewhere then/ do you think someone has been feeding him, and he thinks he has been adopted? As neutered cats tend not to wander far from home according to experts. A lady who lives near me , not too long ago put up posters for her cat who had been missing for a week or two. She then found him not far from where she lives being fed by someone else. Now happily reunited:-) Presume you check Pet register, and Gumtree as they have lost, and found cats. I check every day on these sites. Paws xd. Presume also you have tried putting something with his scent on O(And yours, and left in the garden. I have two cats, and know they rely very much on scent. I believe cats can smell from quite a distance away too. Good luckx Last edited: 2015-06-10 08:30:33
