- Route of today's trek. From Kirton church up the single track road into Whaley, then via stile on right down footpath which leads alongside the Beck. Continued along this for a couple of fields then turned left over footbridge. Straight ahead following footpath all the way to the north end of Whaley and turned right along main road. After a few hundred yards, left down a footpath. This eventually led us into the back of woods where Scout camp is. Round a couple of small lakes, along paths through pine woods over wooden foot bridges to the road on west side of Bothamsall. At this point we were all tiring and were collected by car. From What Wispa indicated, the trail crossed that road and continued up a footpath in direction of Clumber Park.

- We started from where Suki was originally lost. This was a bridlepath going through fields about half a mile up hill from brickworks entrance. Picked up scent which led through a field and down a footpath to the place where a dog walker sighted Suki. Followed scent over a couple of fields and down a narrow path between gardens and into Kirton village. Then up to church to narrow single track road towards Whaley. Then we stopped for day as it was late afternoon, school runs and then going home time, so unsafe to track up that road which has no verges. Resuming this morning. Owners have been doing all the right things, spreading the news everywhere.Last edited: 2015-06-11 17:46:00 by Owl

- Suki is nearly 15 and getting rather deaf. My dog and I have been out following her scent this afternoon. I will update our search route later this evening but meanwhile can say that Suki may have headed in Whaley direction. This is a rural area with small villages, fields mostly arable, patches of woodland and a lot of footpaths and bridle paths.
