- i had a much loved cat who had cancer, one day he just collapsed and died and it sounds as though the same thing has happened with Rowan. I am sure Rowan had a wonderful life and I am sure he did not suffer at the end. I am sure he will be much missed and my sympathy for his owner.

- I have just received news that Rowan has been found by the same Police Officer that looked yesterday. He was found in the river and it is suspected that he had a heart attack before going to Rainbow Bridge. Thank you so much to the kind Police Officer. RIP Rowan. Our thoughts are with his owner xxxLast edited: 2015-06-14 18:03:17 by Red Alert

- Moogies map is good. If you look at the map you can see Spittal Wood. The path to Helligan Wood can be accessed from there on the left side of the Camel Trail over the river. Tresarret end. There is a car park there and then a path along to the woods. I will be helping tomorrow and will take a camera to give a better idea of where we are and where Rowan was lostLast edited: 2015-06-13 22:36:15 by Red Alert

- Received an update this evening to say that Police Officers were searching nearby woods for Rowan. They were a bit confused about which wood and hopefully they made their way to Helligan Wood nearby. Thank you Bodmin Police. Another foot search to take place tomorrow. The forestry Commission are also very aware. Last edited: 2015-06-13 22:28:56 by Red Alert

- Yes Moogie it is, but apparently there is a 'private' section, where some locals walk & it is in that small area where he went missing. It also borders some private land, & the owner of that is a friend of Rowans owner. They have conducted exhaustive searches along the river ( which wasn't deep & in flow at the time, maybe a little more so after the recent rain). The local ramblers have also searched. There is going to be a small party doing another search tomorrow. He wasn't really that good on his legs, as he was old & a bit doddery, so could not have gone far. At this stage they do not want the help of a tracker dog & I respect their choice & reason.

- Good luck with searches for Rowan today. An elderly dog may well have gone under undergrowth so please make sure bushes etc are thoroughly searched. I hope he's found safe and well soon

- I have contacted Jenny Tiga Brown who is in Cornwall but understandably she is very busy. I also have a scenting item and will be passing details of scenting to the owner. In addition the Forestry Commission has given the owner permission to put his mini in the woods in case he returns. The Rambling Society have joined the search with lots of locals.
