I am following the posts about Bramble the dog that got mauled in Northern Ireland. This lab isn’t Buster as they think he’s only 5-6 years old. But thank you for thinking of Buster x
CR
I think unlikely given age but Are you aware of the dog mauled in Northern Ireland where likely chip was ripped out?

Possible sighting, copied post:-
A Kaye Garner has messaged me the following on a page I posted on. Is there anyone who lives around here to keep an eye out for this dog ? 💙💙💙💙
Hi 2days ago I was in my kitchen window and I seen a dog really much like this wondering up and down my road he had a brown thick collar and no owner he looked skinny not a young dog.. I didn't get chance to go and get him as I was on my own with my kids.. I've not seen him since but that was in Nuneaton on Salisburys drive.. I've not seen him since so maybe someone has got him or gone back home if he lives around here but he does look alot like this missing dog.

I don't think anyone has a confirmed sighting of Buster - just that a Yellow Labrador was seen at Gresley. As I've said several times, Yellow Labradors are very popular dogs, we've got several in our small village & Buster could be anywhere by now. I just wish he'd turn up and show himself so that we can have a confirmed sighting.
Sam
Is it a confirmed sighting of Buster!! As all I've heard is that a yellow Labrador has been sighted at Gresley, so can't understand why it's been put on here that he has been sighted.

Just to update people, yesterday someone reported seeing a Yellow Labrador running loose in Gresley, which isn't too far from where Buster went missing. People are concentrating their search in this area at the moment. I wish he could be found safe and well, his owner & helpers have put so much effort into finding him, far more than anyone I've known in over 23 years of ''petsearching''.

The Donisthorpe dog is known locally and is not Buster. So Sam is continuing with her original plan of going door to door round the villages and farms.

Bumped for possible sighting.
Sam
had a possible sighting in Donisthorpe today, a yellow Labrador seen by itself heading into Donisthorpe woodland park, spent 2 hours looking round and calling him plus also putting up more posters and speaking to people walking around. Will be going back tomorrow with a BBQ to cook some sausages and bacon to entice the Labrador out

Buster is remarkably fit for his age and loves walking so could have gone quite some way.

We got a decent scent with just the right weather conditions. It led us around the network of footpaths in Appleby Magna and finally out of the village to the A444 at Appleby Parva. Wispa was picking up air scent from Twycross direction and was keen to head that way, but we couldn't track along this very busy main road as it is narrow with no verges or pavement. So the publicity will now be extended to Twycross and other villages and outlying farms in that area.

Grateful thanks to Owl and Wispa who went out tracking today. No doubt she will update page. Do hope Buster will be found safely soon

Admin
Sorry to see that BUSTER MISSING 4 YEARS is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (88206)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
