I agree with dee, you need access to those sites as it is extremely likely she'll be holed up around there. Usually there is a phone number on security gate/s? Once you've got access take a box of cat biccies & rattle it. I'm sure she'd much rather be home with you x

Hi . .when my cat went missing there were abandoned buildings and land which i needed to search he could have gone on.. I tracked down who owned the buildings and land and asked permission and access on to them.. i found everyone I contacted to be very helpful and provided me with entry into their buildings.. maybe you could try to try to track down who owns these buildings explain to them about the cat and see if they can get you entry to search

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the comments and support. I am Nibbler's owner. I have been putting food out and going out every night after the noise of the city has died down with her favourite toy and treats. Nothing so far but we've not given up hope just yet :)

There are no other residential areas close by other than the flats I live in (which is a very small number of residents) and the other residents have been alerted. other than that there is a building site opposite the road and a load of abandoned factories/large buildings any number of which she could be hiding in.

We've also left some of our unwashed clothes outside as well as some used litter (not that the other residents residents know ;-) )

If anyone has any advice on how best to get her home please let us know, at the moment its quite difficult to really do much more than were doing because all the abandoned buildings are locked off.

Thanks once again for your support and I am so happy to see so many people looking out for her :)

That's why I suggested going out in the early hours as cats will hide from noise prob round the back of shops. I really hope poor Nibbler is found safe

I believe the owner has been putting food out and has been out in the early hours. i think the concern here is that the cat is an indoor cat - never been out and the area isn't residential - its a city centre location right next to the Bull Ring Shopping Centre - so it built up with alot of shops and is jammed backed with shoppers

I agree with loopyLurcher, but I would also put some tuna or sardines on her plate too, and call her. I she spayed? If she is then may not be too far away. sxolmeome else mayh be feeing her too. Also I would put her scent on the building from her bla nket perhaps, as cats rely very much on scent. Also check Catchat online which gives many tips on how to find your missing cat. It really is very good.. Just google Catchat lost catsLast edited: 2015-06-16 12:09:20

I'd suggest going out to look in the early hours (3am-ish) when it is quieter & calling softly + tapping tin plate. It has worked for me. Really hope Nibbler is home safe soon x
