  • Other Info Was spotted being taken in a white van, the man who saw this was asked if the dog was his and he said no. Barney has no tag as he was shut in the house and was meant to be in bed asleep but broke through the cat flap (probably to chase a cat or any small rodent!) He is chipped and super friendly. PLEASE HELP FIND HIM HE IS MY LIFE

Great to hear this news. Was hopeful that white-van-man had good intentions as he admitted dog wasn't his when asked, and thankfully I was correct. Btw, my terrier got thro' a LOCKED cat flap.....never underestimate the little blighters!!

Better still get a microchip operated cat flap that isn't programmed for his!

Update on how Barney was found through poster near to where he was picked up by a man. Female who saw the poster and knew the man who brought him home. He did notify this dogs vet in Wendover who failed to notify the owner as to Barneys whereabouts! I think owner will be speaking to the vet practice.

Thank you all for you shares and help, it was the worst experience of my life!! As you can imagine I am over the moon he is home and I feel very blessed to have him back safe. Where I am there is no internet so I'm relying on my phone to update this page and it takes about half an hour for a page to load so please don't think I'm ungrateful or ignoring you!! I appreciate all your help more than you will ever know :) THANK YOU!!!!

How awful! Surely the police should be contacted? Contact all local vets, dog rescue centres and dog wardens. I am local is there anything I can do. If a van was seen were there any distinctive markings that could help recognise it, a name, damage, what about the number plate?
lesleyjane
Local to me. Posted on my FB page and local one. Contacted local dog training club. Will print posters for local pet shops etc. Fingers crossed. x
