Followed up sighting of lone black dog all over Victoria Park and Broadway Market areas on sunday 22 April enlisted a gang of local lads on motorbikes to go seek said hound -turned out to be a 2 year old dog, not My BB. Followed up a 'Found Dog' ad in London Fields on sunday 29 April-not My BB. Although both dogs happily re-united with owners now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Since the last sighting of BB in HACKNEY ON FRIDAY 24 MARCH i've had news that a puppy fitting BB's description has been spyed playing on own in MILE END PARK OVER THE WEEKEND 31 MARCH-1 APRIL(it is unclear which day). Both areas have been fly posted. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This weekend i've had two possible sightings of BB. Had a call from a lady who saw BB the afternoon after she went missing (sat 24th Feb)-walking her new puppy on the common off Well Street in Hackney, BB approached wagging her tail, she tried to catch hold of her but she ran off 'as if she was heading home'. And the second sighting is a bit more random but i don't believe it to be a hoax-guy saw a bunch of kids with a puppy matching BB's description in Urswick Road, Hackney. They got on a S2 bus leaving her behind. Dog chased the bus for a bit before being clipped by a car outside the police station, back up on it's feet ran off down Urswick Road towards Sutton Hse. Police have nothing. Dog Warden nothing. Calling vets etc Fresh hope......... xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Extra help is always good news. Make sure that you check the posters are still in place, and renew any that have fallen foul of the council or mindless youths.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spent the afternoon at work re-calling vets, rescue centres,Dog Wardens etc (thanks Titania777 for contact details and info). Vet Nurse from CityVet,Mile End remembers a lone dog fitting BB's description legging it down the road Thursday last week!? She gave me numbers (of vets, rescue homes etc.) she knows to be local to the sighting area and so on-nothing. The extra posters that went up at the weekend have certainly raised the profile of our plight (thanks Liz for printing off the A5 flyers, Diane, Paul, Andy, John, Greg, Spephen with the Lab x Dalmation and anyone else who helped slap them up over East London), as expected an increase in hoax callers -seems to happen whenever a new area is hit- I keep them 'chatting' as long as possible and they soon get fed up!! But i got two really good calls from dog owners who would like to help look for BB Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Massive thanks to Diane ,Paul and Andy for giving time to fly post-it was like having the Dog Busters turn up!! John and I went either way along the Canal from Broadway Market, he all the way to Islington and I up in to and all over Victoria Park. Most of my origional posters were still up in parts the park i covered last week, and many of the dog walkers i spoke to had heard about Missing BB. Seems to be between my place and the route i take to Tesco that the posters are being taken down. wondering if perhaps it's got something to do with the guy that called me the first monday after BB went missing to say he had her and i should meet him there in a few minutes and never turned up?! I did have the landline number he called me from logged in my phone, same area code as my landline, he wouldn't pick up for ages and then when he did he wouldn't speak to me-i thought it better not to terrorise the wierdo and left it. Now his number is not logged anymore. Today i'm flyering cars and re-checking areas etcLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Paul, Andy and myself postered Cambridge Green rd, Old Ford Rd, Mare st and a few others that i cant remember the names of!! Gave out a lot of A5 flyers too. Advised Katie to do the supermarket car parks and put flyers on all car windscreens. Katie said that a lot of the posters have been torn down so i told her to re-poster all the ones that have been taken down and to keep doing it if needed. Paul and Andy's dog Bu is soooo cute! I had fun today lads, i hope you did too!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a lovely 'new' photo that is of BB. Hopefully that will tug at a few heartstrings and, if someone has her, they will return her to you as BB is obviously very much loved. I do hope that beautful BB is back with her worried owner very soon. I'm too far away to help but am sending you lots of positive vibes from all of us in Kent. katie - i received a PM from Nick - "I know how depressing this is, but BB's been missing for a very short time. Someone may have taken her in and not seen the posters, or taken her in and will suddenly realise the responsibility of looking after a dog is too much. It's really important to get those posters out and the message about the reward. I would be inclined to print some A5 flyers and hand them out in Brick Lane & Columbia flower market. Maybe even Roman Road. Have you or Katie been to the schools ? Kids are very observant. I have bumped up BB's page to the top of the list so that more people see the appeal for the weekend. Nik" - Liz Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello, had two sightings of BB today as a direct result of fly posting. First in Broadway Market area, my mate sped me round there in her car (managed to crunch the back end in to a post) and there on the grass was BB's sister. The couple said they have had a lot of people checking her out and some even call "BB!" Then later this afternoon i got a call to say maybe it's BB with a 'skinhead' outside Cash Converters, ran around there to find the same dog! Turns out this guy and his lady are due up in court next month and are unlikely to be coming home and would i like to rehome this one, her name is 'Odd Job"! We exchanged numbers and he reassured me that if he spots my BB he will take her, by force if necessary, from whoever has her And if i get anymore crank calls, i should let him know and he'll 'sort them out' -sweet !! A brief description of the trio: The pup, Odd Job, looks like BB but has shorter legs, ears ,nose and tail, she is not as shiny either. He is medium slim build with fair shaved hair. She, medium-large frame, shoulder length dark hair and missing teeth. They are expecting alot more attention re missing BB and are happy to help. What a day....come home naughty BBLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Nick, thanks for all your support. checked the East London Advertiser this morning. BB's story was in but without pics. put a copy through katie's letterbox. no, i do not know any local pirate radio stations. what about LBC or Radio London? would it be possible to swing anything there?? will help Katie with postering this weekend. Admin - Would it be possible for you to contact helpers that are a bit outside this postcode area as Katie and Elizabeth are not getting any help with postering at the moment? They are looking to do a poster blitz at the weekend but as yet have had no takers. I know this isn't the norm but Katie is running herself ragged and it's such a busy area that it needs more than 2 people postering. I wish I could go myself but my own dog circumstances prevent me. I know if a couple of people could help them it would be greatly appreciated.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You're all doing a terrific job. Posters really do work, so make sure you're replacing the ones that are coming down. Let's hope the story is in the local paper so that it gets to more people. Are there any local pirate radio stations that we can contact ?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi All, over the past few days i've searched out many of the homeless community local to my area, all have been really sympathetic to my cause (the ?1000 cash reward offered should stir it up a bit too) and are on the look out with us- Just this morning i finally found JP, the Italian guy i got BB from, and Pess (BB's biological Mama) He'd already heard about all this and was expecting me-if she somehow ends up back in that scene,i'm confident i'll hear about it. Nik, the BB sighting the other morning was sister of BB, her owner and she sleep in Old Street sometimes. Thanks to Katie (Titania 777) for mailing me a new widened search list of vets, rescue centres, pet shops etc. Gives me plenty more to sneak about over at work, colleagues are pretty cool and understand i need to search for my BB. IF ANYONE IN MY AREA IS ABLE TO FLY POST i would be happy to supply BB Posters or e-mail the doc directly. I have different posters to the one available on DogLost site they have more pictures of BB, i'm getting all posters directly from printer, found that photocopy loses too much detail, important cause she is so black and her shine is all that gives her features on paper. The posters are being seen, i stop every dog walker i see -shove a poster in their face and demand they tell me when and where they have seen posters so far !!! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes please, we could do with a few more pair of legs if possible. that would be much appreciated. i wonder, why nobody has come forward yet with some info about BB. has word not got round yet, despite postering? there are so many questions. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Katie - Do you know if the posters are removed by street cleaners or others? Try laminating some and fixing with cable ties (they are harder to remove). Also get some posters photocopied as you can get more out. Have you given to milkmen, postmen, local supermarkets, stations, all the shops, anywhere you get a lot of people. I am unable to get to the area but PLEASE IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER HELPERS THAT CAN POSTER with Elizabeth and Katie PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE contact them as they need lots more help! BB is only young and needs to be home with her Mum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Had another sighting of 'BB' (or maybe one from the same litter) at eight this morning under the bridge in Old Street, ran all the way but when i got there theyd moved on-left a poster. Going that way home later tonight to look again etc. Finding that these posters are not staying up long in this area Yesterday i re-did Hackney Road and the junction of Kingsland Road, Shorditch High Street and the first part of Old Street as far as the turning down in to Hoxton Street as far as the Job Centre. Really important areas to keep re-doing are all of the above and extended , Brick Lane, Bethnal Green Road, along canal to Victoria Park and the other way to Camden In this city, such a dirty city, Im amazed these posters keep being tidied away!!! Really appreciate any poster being slapped up in any of the relevant areas....maybe anywhere is relevant Many Thanks xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Katie - I spoke to Elizabeth last night and I've just sent you another list of contacts (to the hotmail addy) - widening the field a bit. I've included some more of the rescue kennels that, although are out of your area, do take in dogs from London. More thanks to all out there helping me search. Still fly posting like mad with the help of Miko's mum Liz and her friends. Had a few calls from people who think they've seen her with scruffy types, but she is from a litter of eight, a few of which stayed in the homeless community from which i got her- trying to find as many of these chaps as poss Looking for the Italian guy and his bitch Pess (BB's biological mama) think i know where he'll be tonight , but it's raining on the streets so maybe he wont be about?!! But these guys could be of great use in my search for little BB Katie xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as admin put a picture on the site posters need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins), schools, deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Bebe. xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
