- The case of Bella the French Bulldog DogID127384 stolen from Beaulieu Motor Museum over Easter is similar to that of Frank’s, and not that far from Stonehenge. Can you help? Is the woman on the CCTV pics the same woman who “found” Frank?

- Very strange, esp as finder seems to have changed their story about how he came to be in their possession......note Amesbury polce were treating as a potential theft from the word go. I wonder whether they will investigate any further.

- Very odd indeed!

- Everything about what this "finder" has said in inconsistent with the trust and incongruent with a loving dog owner. The supporters of this woman questionable actions are in the minority and I really think you need to remind yourself how sophisticated and manipulative these criminals are. I know my dog was stolen. All I want is to ensure that this doesn't happen again. Ive actually met this woman and her daughter. I our instincts are rarely wrong!

- If she messaged a vet as soon as she got home maybe the time she did this could be shared with the police to see what time she arrived home. This would then make more clear the time she took the dog from it's clearly present owner who was in the same part of the car park as she said she parked looking for the dog as the story she has told doesn't make sense. The car park was never deserted as my truck and one or the other of us was present throughout the presceeding hour upto when the dog was taken and for the following 24 hours. A dog that has not moved from that truck without it's owner for the 2 weeks we were away suddenly disappears as soon as he turnes to dish up food. 5 minutes after the dog was last seen the owner questioned everyone in the car park, National Trust staff were on scene followed by police. The entire full car park was repeatedly searched before the lady says she found him (in a deserted car park that was never deserted). I do not need correcting on events as I was there and remember clearly. If this lady wanted to reunite the dog why did she not do so? Why remove him and take him hours away instead of telling Stonehenge visitors centre staff or 24 hour security? Maybe because she realised that the dog was snipped and therefore no good for breeding as the fact that he was snipped seemed to interest her in her phonecall to National Trust head quarters the next day which is how we found out who had taken him from the scene not from the efforts to locate the owner by an out of area vet. Maybe by the time she had traveled the 3 hours home she or her partner or daughter had seen the dogs picture being shared all over social media and reports that the police were checking CCTV to see every car leaving the car park. My 3 year old child was with us as well as the dog. If this lady had found him in a full car park would she have bundled him into her car and taken him 3 hours away without contacting centre staff or police?

- Just to correct you Jessica Fox, the finder in fact private messaged a local vet to stonehenge as soon as she arrived home that evening advising that she had found a male dog at stonehenge and asking for help tracking his owner, the vets did not see the message until the following morning and called me. I will confirm with vets what time message was received.Last edited: 2015-06-26 05:26:18 by Karen - Solstices Missing Dogs and Wiltshire volunteer

- Hi Jenny, yes there was a busy road - outside the fenced estate - however, Frank was kept in close proximity of me in the (apparently) desserted carpark, so full that ourselves and "finder" had to park on the overflow, was nowhere near the roads. Why you would choose to denigrate me as a vigilant dog owner who merely turned my back to drain pasta whilst my dog was 1.5 metres away from me in favour of a dog breeder who just happened to find my dog under her car at a time when quite a substantial number of witnesses, whom are extremely uncomfortable with this "finder's" version of events, is beyond me.

- It is wonderful to have Frank back with us, thanks to the police, security and National Trust for their help and support. One thing is I do have to correct that the 'finder' drove a long way to reuinite the dog, in fact it was my friend who drove for 3 hours from stonehenge to where this lady lives to get Frank back. She says she found the dog as the visitors centre closed at 8pm but Frank went missing just before 6pm and moments later we searched a full car park 5 people looked under every car. Frank was waiting for food being prepared lying happily on the tail lift of the truck and 5 minutes later he was gone. When the lady says she found Frank at 8pm the car park had a visible prescence of police, security and National Trust Staff as well as my truck which is not hard to miss. I stayed there overnight with the support of police and security. Why would you take a dog from a place where he was being actively searched for to a location 3 hours away without going seeking out the visible security, centre staff or police? Why wouldy you not hand him over to clearly distressed owners that were looking for him 5 minutes after they last saw him? Why would you wait till the following day after the story has been covered all over social media to say you found him? Did they find him just before 6pm in a full car park and leave immediately without informing anyone at an open visitors centre or did they find him 2 hours after he had gone missing under a car that 5 people had checked under with an owners truck camping out with the doors open waiting for him and police, security and NT presence? This story does not add up.

- I would like to add what a wonderful Lady who took great care of Frank, going out of her way to ensure he was kept safe for the night and even driving a long way to meet the owner ,who I am sure must be kissing the ground she walks on when he realises how dangerous the road is there or what awful things could of happened to the gorgeous Frank, I only wish there were more people like her .Last edited: 2015-06-25 07:33:52
