- Thank you Kimmybear for thinking about Poppy and Kathryn. There are still posters up in the village and many local followers on fb still looking for her. Personally I think your option B is most likely. Lets just hope that her chip brings her back home.

- I've bumped her page for that sighting. You really never know - with collies it is very possible. That Devon dog took about 3 months before she was sighted. Wish I could think of her name as you could then see her page. If she has been taken to another part of the country, her chip will crop up at some point - they usually do. I do still worry about the cliff, as I'm sure you do, but I would also have expected something to have come to light by now if she had met with an accident. So, it is very possible she is a) either living wild or b) someone is looking after her. I'd keep a few posters going up in the area where lost, either by yourself or if any one living there can do that for you, just to remind people. Someone somewhere may suddenly remember something. People come and go on holidays and if someone saw something and comes back on holiday again, it may trigger a memory. All is not lost. xxx

- Please everyone , if you know anyone who walks the fields in the Dover (Whinless Road / Buckland Hospital area) can you alert them just incase this is Poppy ( or another missing dog). Thanks.
- 2015-07-22 23:43 Kathryn
- There was a possible sighting of Poppy tonight, 22nd July about 7pm in Dover. A black dog was seen on the fields behind Buckland Hospital. We went straight over there and searched until it was dark. Unfortunately Poppy was not found. Will go back again tomorrow evening. Kx

- Thank you very much for your comments Kimmybear, great advice. Hopefully Poppy will be like the dog in Devon and be knocking about somewhere. The worrying thing for me is that it has been nearly 3 weeks now and there has been no 'confirmed' sightings. However I am sure that she is somewhere safe x

- Interesting information and good advice thanks Kimmybear.

- Thank you for replying G. I am just so sad about this. Something else for owners to remember, collies are extremely good at hiding and surviving in the wild for weeks or more. We had one collie living for months without being seen on the sand dunes/cliffs at Devon. Eventually a holiday maker spotted her and started to throw food, after some days they managed to capture her. Her owners thought they'd never see her again, but she got home just fine - in the end. Many collies have done this on DogLost We have on emissing for about a year - living in the woods! I would keep the posters going up in the area where lost and up to say, 4 miles outwards. She could simply have got confused, lost and ran in wrong direction. Call the local papers and radio, see if they will run this story. Praying for this sweet girl. x

- When she went missing the Coastguards were called out that day and did an extensive search above and below the ciffs. Since then locals and family have been in that area re-looking. Kathryn has ben really thorough with her searches and its strange she hasn't been sighted.
We do get a lot of holiday makers in the area ,so I suppose its possible someone could of taken her thinking she was a stray, so she could be in another area now. There was another thought that she could be in the Deal/ Sandwich area where she lives and walks, but to be honest we really don't know. Thankyou for your ideas and thanks again everyone for your help. x - 2015-07-10 22:43 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Just thinking, I don;t know the area, but cliff path? Are there any dangers associated with this cliff that coul dhave led to this fur baby's disappearance? Could she have slipped or anything? Also is there any railway nearby? Bushes to get stuck on? Just thinking aloud. She's a lovely girl. x

- AREA LAST SEEN " on the cliff path that leads up to the side of Kingdown Golf Club. The club is right by where she disappeared , they were on the walk way. She has a brown collar on. I think if someone saw her she would probably cower down and let you get her as she is a real softy".
"They were climbing up but had reached the top parallel to the golf club house. They let a group of people pass them and then he didn't see her again. x
