- Wonderful news. Thrilled for you. I have been involved with cats for nearly 70 years. I have lost count of the number of times I have heard of cats going missing and then turning up again. One of my cats used to go off every day for a couple of hours. When he returned home he always smelt of perfume. I never found out who he visited.

- I had a new cat and not long after he was allowed out he didn't come back. I went out at 3.30am when all the background noise has gone and called him. Within half an hour he popped back through the cat flap. It could just have been coincidence but I like to think he focussed on my voice.whatever he had been up to he was spooked, he refused to go outside for 6 weeks afterwards!

- Is Russell neutered? As then they dont tend to stray farm as will have a smaller territory. Search all outbuuildings such as sheds, garages, greenhouses, and vehicles to see if he has been locked in. also put some treats in his dish, tuna.sardines, and keep calling him, as someone else may be feeding him. Put something with his scent on, litter tray or blanket, and leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, along with something with your scent on too. Put "Lost" posters though doors too. Check Catchat online which gives many tips on how to find your lost cat. Just google Catchat lost cats. PS Early days, it may be the warmer weather has kept him out especially IF someone is feeding him. Keep us postedxLast edited: 2015-06-27 20:26:59

- Lots of people working in their gardens and sheds, garages and summerhouses open. Easy to shut a cat in when the door is closed. Put notices through local doors.
