- Millie's body was found this morning by a neighbour close to where she lived. She looked at peace. Some old dogs (and cats) do take themselves to a peaceful spot when they know it's their time. She was much loved by the family. They don't think she suffered - just slipped quietly away.

- Cross post from Facebook "DOG LOST this morning near Long Lane Formby, got out of gate, half-sized alsation looking mongrel, pale sandy brown, deaf, a little weak and quite frail on her legs, name MILLIE. Has green plastic tag and metal disk on collar. Likely she hasn't got that far, and may have collapsed as she does occasionally.
