So sorry Delboy is still missing. Yesterday I emailed his poster to vets all over London, nearest to where he lives. It's just a chance, but someone from one of these practices or their clients may recognise him from the poster. In all 75 vets were contacted, asking them to forward poster to all of their other branches and to display it both in staff rooms and client waiting areas. Hopefully with their other branches included, this will have covered in the region of 100 vets, or probably more. Be lucky Delboy, we just need that one pair of eyes to spot you x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ok have spoken to Taome and asked if her a friend had a description of the man who had 'Delboy'. She came back and said: "the man was white between 25-35, green hoodie, dark jeans and trainers, london accent, and also had like a mostashe but was more like stubble" I know its kind of vauge but it may help in the future! xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Delboy
I contacted the British Transport Police today. I got a call from one of the Detective Inspectors at London South Area who is going to pick up the CCTV tape from Swanley station in the morning on his way to work and then post it to the relevant Police Station who is dealing with Delboy's theft! ..also I have contacted the Police station we originally reported this to and explained the situation and they are expecting the tape. Hopefully this will be a good lead. Delboy's owner.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thameslink is now run by first and very helpfully their Customer Relations team is in Plymouth. I don't have any local contacts, so I would suggest you contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 to advise them of this. Also bear in mind that the last leg of the journey is South East Trains.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What really annoyed me about the article was on the opposite page there was a large-ish article: "fag breaks take up 290,000 days". WHO CARES?!?! The Delboy article MUST be bigger, there are 3 mad men out there who stole a dog at knife point. Whats to say they wont do it again? xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I was really disappointed with the small article in the Metro this morning. I thought they would have used the picture of Delboy too. They also said that they would put DogLost's details on there which they haven't done so that if someone did recognise Delboy, they could contact DogLost. I have emailed them this morning asking them to put another article in with his photo this time and DogLost's details. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

really annoyed the papers have not picked this one up - Tania. - did your local paper run anything? They really are the ones to get the coverage in as. as we have found in the rhondda this week, they are well read. Let's keep at it - also. please, please please make a complaint to the police and, if that does not work, go to the police complaints commission. the least you deserve is a basic investigationxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I postered a police van aswell and gave them some to take back to the station. I would like to say a really huge thankyou to Tania, her dad and her little brother Vince for making myself, my son and his friend very welcome today. You truly are very lovely genuine people and it was a pleasure to help you today. My son and Vince were on the phone to each other most of the way home and are again now!! Thank god for free minutes!! lol Hopefully there will be some positive sightings soon and this baby will be home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is so concerning that the cops do notknow the crime. burglary - entering a property as a tresspasser with intent to steal robbery - use of or threat of violence to steal. me thinks this is robbery - which is a home office priority crime - once again, call the police or victim support, ask for the crime reference number - you have a right to it as you reported the crime - demand action. hell go to your local mp (elections are up soon) about the fact you have been a victim of a home office priority crime and NOTHING has been done.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

spoke to owner and i am going to help poster on saturday afternoon. Delboy is entire. Delboy is on the front page of the Hendon and Finchley times that came out today and he will be in the Metro tomorrow (the free newspaper that is given out at all the rail stations). Apparently the police said they are not sure if this is a burglary or a theft?????? I have never heard such bo****ks in my life!!! It was an armed robbery, they were armed with a knife and that poor lad was robbed! Anyway, i'll calm down now and go and feed the brats!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I was just wondering if delboy was able to breed or not? If not it's worth check out the staffy.com site incase he gets dumped. I'm too far to help, but i'll poster him out to my mates down south. People like this make me sick, also worth asking your brother (who totally did the right thing) if it's a route he always takes with delboy incase he was stolen to order. In which case gypsies sites and pubs will be your best bet. The police are never any help when are they gonna realise that the people who steal dogs probably fund a lot of other nasty stuff as well. A crime is a crime! Might be worth contacting the Sun news desk as they've done a lot on dog theft and animal abuse in the past. Fingers crossed you get him back soon i'll be watching the blues with hope xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is the first one I've seen after several days away. This is so typical of the attitude of so many police officers, particularly those in the Met. There are caring, hardworking ones out there and this tw*t doesn't help their cause! Owner, well done for having him chipped - he is a very distinctive looking dog - get him profiled wherever you can. As for you police - get off your arses and do some work. ROBBERY is theft with violence - is that not a serious crime any more? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Keelah
still no news on the nationals - have told owner to make formal complaint to police - get her brother to make complaint about the fact he has been the victim of an appallingly violent crime and he has had no investigation or support at all. Police have a duty of care to victims of crime and robbery, street crime and knives remain a high priority. Get the complaint in, get the investigation moving. To have a knifepoint robbery reported to you (irrespective of what was stolen and things would def be different if it was an ipod or mobile phone) and to not even have the basic forensics, house inquiries and cctv inquires is unbelievable. Go to the police, demand the crime number (all crimes recorded by police have one) and then get on to the area commander or sergeant of the investigating officer and DEMAND some action. They have access to the cctv, they can check and trace the car owners. Nightmare coppers!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What scum of the earth would do this it is a criminal offence, please make a complaint to the police department for their handling in this matter it is utterly shameful, their is every chance you will get Delboy back after all he is chipped and at some point will need vet treatment slap posters every where he can't go unnoticed with thoses markings good luck with your search.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How awful for poor Delboy and his family! They must be frantic with worry about his welfare! Can't write what I think about "people" who would commit such a crime.......Lovely markings on Delboy, rather looks like he's wearing black PJs. Makes him distinctive which can only help. Fingers crossed that he is back in safe and responsible hands very soonxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters need to be put up in the area lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins), schools, deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Delboy. Oh, this is just awful!!! Poor Delboy. I'm too far away to help but, as everyone has said, poster like crazy (if its standing still, put a poster on it!) and visit all local pubs and make sure they put a poster up of Delboy, as many of our stolen dogs are traded on via pubs. The pub customers are also a really good source of local information. Put posters in your car windows and ask others to do the same. Here's hoping that this handsome young man is found very soon and that something very nasty indeed happens to the low-life that stole him. Come home very soon Delboy!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to tania, Delboys owner and she has contacted Hendon Times about doing a piece and is contacting the Evening Standard. It was her little brother, who is only 17 yrs old who had Delboy stolen from him. One man put the knife to his throat while the other two men bundled Delboy into the van. He feels very guilty that he let them take the dog and he is very worried about Delboy. I told Tania to tell her little brother that he did all he could in the circumstances and he is not to feel guilty at all. Lets get this boy home and make his family happy xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It will be interesting to see just how much the police will do about this crime. In my eyes it is a very serious one. As for the tactless pc ...I think he needs retraining.I do hope you get Delboy back asap. ,and the THIEVING SCUM are prosecuted. Stay safe little boy. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Because Delboy was stolen at knife-point, doesnt it make this armed robbery? Lets try and get as much info as poss on the thiefs as well, they should be locked up for this! Oh, and maybe a complaint about the PC who delt with the case it should make them think twice before opening their mouth again!! xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just got the poster. I will forward to both my daughter and my daughter-in-law who are both veterinary nurses in the north-west London area. I will also poster my area. The people who stole Delboy in this fashion need to have knives put to their throats. They are scum. As he was stolen from the Cricklewood area, my first thought is travellers or gipsies, or whatever you want to call them. Dog owners should always take personal alarms or other forms of defence with them when walking their dogs. Nowhere is safe now. I hope Delboy is found very soon, safe and well.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I was always taught that if you dont have anything nice to say then maybe you should keep your gob shut. Maybe the lovely pc that told the owner they would not see their dog again should have done just that!! The way in which Delboy went missing warrants a lot of media coverage and we all know that the more people that are aware of this incident, then the better the chances are of someone coming forward with info. Stay strong owner and do whatever you have to to get Delboy back. Get those posters out and contact your local newspapers and radio stations to start with.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
