Daisy (as rescue have called her) is an unclaimed stray - I know it says 14 months and Lizzie is older but so difficult to judge a dog's age at times. She is with Pro Dogs in Sidcup just in case (and has had plenty or interest to rehome) - she wasn't chipped when she came in

Just noticed the possible sighting below around the Leeds area, so could this one be Kerry? "found this little girl running up the hard shoulder of the M74 around J13 southbound about 16:30 today on our way home from Scotland please share the hell out of this and try to get her home.. Proof of owner will be required before she leaves us" There are some more photos on his page

I had a call this morning (Saturday 5th September -two months since the girls went missing) from someone in Heckmondwike, south of Leeds, who had see the poster in the vets and then saw a man walking two dogs just like Lizzie and Kerry. Any other sightings in the area would be helpful!!
Andrew Corser
Thanks for the link to the Cheshunt golf club mum and pup, Amanda - the pup is too old to be Lizzie's, but thanks anyway! I hope those two were reunited with their owners!

Just seen on FB that a border terrier has been found in Herts with a young pup. Thought best to post so can be ruled out if not Lizzie x https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153608231264216&set=pcb.10153608231289216&type=1&theater

Sorry for lack of postings here - I have put things on Facebook but forgot to do so on here.
LIZZIE AND KERRY ARE STILL MISSING. We have had lots of support and helpful suggestions, and are following them all up, but there have been no confirmed sightings.
I check adverts for puppies each day (it seems that Pets4Homes has the most adverts, and they also give the age of the puppies): there haven't been any born at the right time where the mum looks like Lizzie so far...
Vets around the country have put up the poster, and there is a small ad going into the Vet Register next week as well.
We would like to thanks everybody for all of your help, support, care and attention - it has been really wonderful! We have our fingers crossed and will keep on hoping...

Sheltielover/Owner - I wonder if Vets have a common publication/news sheet or newsletter/or even supplier updates that they all tend to read? That letter could be incorporated in something like that which would get a lot more exposure around the Vet circuit in the UK. It is only a short window of opportunity and already 3 days have passed since Lizzie's due date. Possibly worth asking a Vet? My comment was in reponse to Fergals comment (16th @1335) I said "those 2" ( meaning 2 others!) I have only just seen these comments & didn't realise there was any confusion.
Lizzie & Kerry are still missing.

Just been posted to a vets practice by owner. ---I am writing to you to ask for your assistance in tracing my pregnant Border Terrier, who is due on 18th August 2015, but went missing from home on Sunday 5th July 2015. We have had a comprehensive word of mouth, social media and poster campaign going on for the past 3 weeks, but there have been no sightings locally at all.It is possible that she was picked up by a holidaymaker down here near Lands End in Cornwall, and could therefore be anywhere in the country by now, but it occurs to me that there can't be that many Borders who are about to give birth in the week around 18th August 2015, and if each one had its microchip checked, then there is the possibility that my 5 ½ year old Lizzie (Golden Glow – KC AL02059203 ) could be traced and brought home!

Lizzie, incidentally, went missing with her friend Kerry (a spayed 4 year old border/lakeland terrier cross) who is also chipped.

But still in the blue which is confusing

I'm suspecting some confusion over the other dogs which were apparently reunited on 16th August. Can someone get confirmation that these two have also been found before we all celebrate?

Thanks for update Max, that is a relief as I know the place is just up the road to me. GeoffA - sorry I have only just noticed your comment re the two little dogs near Kilk/Morwenstow. I don't have fb to check Bude Banter. Max has my number if you see anything this area again as I live near and will always check it. There were a couple of small terriers I picked up around two years ago in this area. They were tagged so I waited for the owner to come and pick them up. Belonged to a local farmer. X

Lizzie is due to give birth any day now, so please be aware of any pups being sold & look out for her.

There has been no news or sightings. Apparently Lizzie is due to give birth very soon, so it could be that she was stolen because of this :(

Andrew because they might have been picked up by someone will put in a Thunderclap for them so they get a lot better known...

I still hope they are local and you will soon find them but just in case we will make them hot xx

I have just checked the original listing on Bude Banter & it seems the 2 stray dogs may belong to a local. They had got out. Just waiting for confirmation though.
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
This is a follow up comment, when I asked if it could be them...
I don't think they are these two, I'm sure they had more brown and less black but it might be worth checking out.
Have sent message to Andrew to check these out.

The following has been posted on Bude Banter this evening by Rhj Pony: "Hi all, a bit of a long shot but is anybody in the Kilkhampton or Morwenstow area missing a couple of small dogs? I was driving out of Kilk in the Morwenstow direction about an hour or so ago and I saw 2 small dogs running down the A39. I stopped and tried to catch them but they were too quick for me and disappeared across the fields opposite the big lay-by. They were terrier types, mostly brown with a bit of black, one looked younger than the other . Hopefully they've made their way home, but thought I'd post just in case. Please share, thanks" . . . . I have added a comment asking if it could be Lizzie and Kerry Lost ID 89149 and attached doglost link. Obviously they would be a long way from home but I will monitor and report any feedback. Will also submit this to Doglost Cornwall fb page.

Andrew have you got in touch with the mine survey people? They know most of the shafts in that area but when I was young we were always told Ding Dong has many hidden ones that no ones knows about....Certainly back a long they had no idea where some were....The main ones are capped.

Not so long ago there was a spaniel cross (a sproker I think) who went down a shaft....She was found and was got out. I will try and find her as her family may know who to contact re these shafts

They got over 4,500 views and 105 shares from Pup's page, a lot in Cornwall so just know folk care and are thinking of you. If you need a body for searches just let me know.I am about 3/4 hour up but come from near there so kinda know it well xx

If you think that then you need to get a social media campaign going making them too hot to handle. You need to tell the police they are missing if you haven't already. If you have facebook post their details onto pages like lostbox, red alert, harveys army south, alfies lost dogs and aa many local pages as you can. you might want Jenny and Tiga's help...www.k9tracker.co.uk, or try www.k9searchdog.org, also contact local press. Twitter too.Last edited: 2015-07-10 15:41:53

Still no sightings - we're starting to think that our dogs have been taken away by someone: maybe a campervan that was in Cot Valley on Sunday night...
Andrew Corser
Thanks very much for posting this comment about the dog barking around Ding Dong stack - it is the first evidence of any kind we have had back: everyone is being really helpful and supportive; it seems that everyone in St Just knows that Lizzie and Kerry are missing, and lots of people are keeping a look out, or even going out specially to look - thank you all so much!
The lack of any sightings, and recent advice from a couple of dog/local area savvy people suggest that fox dens are a good possibility, so we are focussing on that at the moment - we've been over to the fields next to Bosavern Mill, where a fox den is reported (friends there are taking up that search), but we will now focus on the big den in amongst the quarry, shafts and wild hillside in Bosorne.
Thanks again to everyone for all of your support and help!

From doglost cornwall fb page........Apologies if this turns out to be nothing but just wanted to say that I was walking my 4 on Penwith Moor tonight as always and we heard what sounded like a little dog barking in the distance, it was barking in response to mine barking and there was definitely no one around that I could see, searched around the DingDong stack up towards Boskednan Stone Circle but then it got dark and the barking stopped.
Probably nothing but thought I would mention it as I know there are a few missing around here (the two little terriers from Phoenix Barn sprang to mind), I have walked here every day for almost ten years and it was unusual enough to draw my attention to it, lots of shafts around here too.. I have left message on the contact number above for owner of these 2. Have also given him the number of a chap who may be able to help with open mine shafts/rescue if they are there.

Have made contact with owner. Both dogs ran off on a walk on Sunday night, one did come back later, had a quick bite to eat & ran off again before owner could stop it. It is a very rural area & not far from cliffs. Owner has been out searching, has informed DW & is going to get some posters printed off. I have advised to check hedgerows etc in case they are snagged by collars & rabbit holes in case they have got trapped.
Am emailing advice sheets.
