- No more sightings or tips at all. I would accept help if I knew where people could help, but without any sightings in now over 3-4 weeks I don't know where the need is. My bed rest is over. I can drive, and am able to walk and have been walking around my village, but long distances, biking, and running are still out of the question. So going out to look myself is questionable activity for me; but without sightings there is no place to look or to receive help. =/

- Other than the vet office tip have their been anymore sightings / info at all Forestry?
I'm still available to help you, especially while you are on medical bed rest x
Stay positive and don't give up hoping x - 2015-08-03 11:12 Forestry
- Had a tip that Latte (white/Grey dog) might have been in the Brandon Vet office a week ago. I called and verified it was NOT her, the vet was able to confirm her chip number info is current.

- Patlucky. I have been in contact with Forest. Because of her work and health commitments it's hard to touch Base with her. She has my number as I was in her position last month which is why I became a volunteer after getting mine back 5 days after she went adventuring.
I've postered and searched on multiple occasions and owner has my number to respond to sightings for when she is unable x - 2015-07-29 18:31 Patlucky
- I think Forestry might need a bit of moral support.
Please can anyone help?
It is ok helping when a dog has been sighted.
People who have lost a dog must feel so alone.
Sorry I am not nearer . - 2015-07-29 14:40 KellyR - Area Volunteer, Suffolk
- I'm still sharing the lost post & still happy to search / respond to possible sighting in the area should any get called in.

- Hi. Not sure if it was these two. I was on my horse riding into Santon Downham and two husky type dogs came. The whiter one was more timid and the redder one started leaping at the horse and biting it. A lady came and caught it. I was very shaken. I rode on and an American chap in a blue pickup came along. He was looking for the dogs. I told him the lady had caught one. I told the police when I got home as I was worried they would get run over. The white one had run away. Like I say they may not have been your ones. I can't remember exact date but think was prob not yours as I think was June time

- 3 weeks ago a husky attacked a little dog in Brandon. Police took it ? Could be totally unrelated

- Forestry, so sorry to hear you are unwell.
There are plenty of posters up in the area and if there are any sightings called in please let us know as there are helpers willing to go out and help search. - 2015-07-28 17:50 Forestry
- Sorry for no updates, I had to go out of town over this past weekend, and I'm now going to be on Medical Bed rest for a few weeks, sadly I will be unable to do any future searching. But with no sightings in the past 2.5 weeks I've kind of lost hope. I'm convinced someone has gone out there and picked them up as their own(stolen). I think these kind of web sites like Dog Lost are great, but I'm sure thief's also cruise these web sights which gives them the exact area, names, picture, and time frame a dog is lost or sighted. =/ Just like the post before this: "if the dogs were still out there, wouldn't they have been seen by now?" =(

- Other husky dog racers may be able to help as they race thru the forest. I was told that its possible the missing huskies may even seek the company of other huskies in particular as they should be really hungry by now this is the judge & breeder contact details that will be alerting other husky dog racers that go thru the thetford forest and also race past the boyscout camp area http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/services/public/judge/display.aspx?id=6631

- Ok i have through my research found a great contact. In the local area based at Lynford not far down the road from 2 mile bottom lives a siberian husky judge and breeder She regularly races her dogs thru the forest and knows other husky racers that go thru the thetford forest. WE had a great chat today and i have emailed her a large photo of the dogs and the link to the dogs missing which she will let other husky racers thru the forest know

- This morning myself and another volunteer set out at track 21 ( 2 mile bottom almost opposite the picnic site ) we walked it to little Lodge farm then followed the train lines up to a cottage in the woods where we spoke to a gentleman and left him a poste. We then walked to the scout camp site and gave them a poster as they have a huge event on this weekend. Returned to the car after that. Sadly no sightings of the dogs. There were however several sets of prints the right size in areas that aren't particularly usual dog walking routes.
Will return to search if there are further sightings - 2015-07-16 16:03 KellyR - Area Volunteer, Suffolk
- Will be out searching Saturday if these girls haven't made it home by then
Stay positive Forestry x - 2015-07-15 19:25 Forestry
- Looked this evening from about 5:30 to 6:45 between St Helens Park and 2 Mile Bottom around the Scout Camp side with no luck. Talked to some other bikers out there who came from across the river with no sight of them either. =(

- I have contacted the power station and spoken to a guy called Stephen Hinde. There is an email addy for the power station but Stephen gave me his email addy. I have asked if the dogs have been seen by anyone as the power station is In the two mile bottom area. He knew nothing about the dogs. I have sent him this link on the dogs for him to print off and hang up in the employee break room. They also do have a cctv camera In operation and he will let those know working in the cctv room regarding the dogs. I have told him the two mile bottom area is rather large and there has been reported sightings in the two mile bottom area. So now the power station is informed

- It's probably best to hold on to anything scenty until you have a tangible sighting. I don't have a smartphone but most people do and I believe you can pinpoint where you are with it, if those co-ordinates were to be passed over it would help loads :)Last edited: 2015-07-14 19:36:53 by Xenas Mum - Area Volunteer, Norfolk

- Some dirty socks or a t shirt would do, didn't realise it was such a big area...you do need people to be precise.

I passed this link to the 2 dogs. I hope you don't mind perhaps I am double tracking that done nickys phone number is 0300 067 4546
apologies if this is already done - 2015-07-14 17:49 Forestry
- Next time I go out I could leave a couch pillow. My dogs were allowed on the couch (as seen in pic) so they will smell themselves and my family on them. But I still have the problem where I am not being given precise locations where they are to know where to leave the pillow. Are they being seen in the Scout Camp? In the open field behind the power station? East of power station where the 4X4 dirt roads are, Across the river and bridge near the scout camp?! Or even across the rail, and the carriageway at 2 Mile Bottom trail head, and not the scout camp?!
- 2015-07-14 17:43 Forestry
- Just got back, No luck. I went to 2 Mile Bottom on the Scouts camps side where I found people camping who said they have been there all day with no dog sightings. I still walked around a bit then went to the other side of the carriageway to 2 Mile Bottom trail head. Where the hikers there had no sightings. =( I wish these sightings where more descriptive on which 2 Mile bottom location they are being seen at. And even then if they can pinpoint a closer location, being these areas are a bit large00.

There is never harm in recovering ground and as it was a personal effort to assist then all help and the appreciation that its essential to keep recovering ground in particular In the area where they had been initially seen but sadly chased off https://www.petfinder.com/dogs/lost-and-found-dogs/find-lost-dog/

If it's an issue please don't waste your petrol. These same Farms, locals, my neighbors and friends will contact me if they see them or they are able to catch them. All your doing is retracing my steps talking to the same locals and authorities that I have already informed. I know the dogs are not there, if they were Jeff would call me!

- When I contacted network rail today they told me to contact the British Transport Police regarding the dogs as they filed no such reports nor handled them and that the BTP should be made aware so that's done

- Thank you Lady Trojan I also contacted Network Rail yesterday to make then aware of these 2 dogs....

- Should the dogs be recovered then communication with the BTP at phone number 0800405040 quoting the assigned number of 16512072015. The line along the area of where they are missing is important to be aware of this situation as all bases should be covered In the event of either sighting or mishap.
- 2015-07-12 11:44 LadyTrojan
- The railway line runs directly through the area I have contacted the British Transport Police in the event of a possibility of the dogs being hit by a train or sighted by train driver personnel or by the British Transport Police. The reference number on this is 16512072015 the BTP will contact with any info if there is any info available or ever becomes available

Still no Luck. We saw a lot of people out hiking and camping today and no one has had any sightings. =(

- They still have not returned. =( Thanks for helping with posters. I'm going to get some and post by the forestry and possibly somewhere at 2 Mile Bottom. I'm going out today prior to work with my husband and a friend on mountain bikes to cover more ground all between Santon Downham and 2 Mile Bottom areas. Again I've called the Norfolk and Suffolk Councils and the Kennels they use, neither have picked-up the dogs, which still concerns me they have been stolen. =(Last edited: 2015-07-11 11:04:04 by Forestry

- My pups are still lost! I had to return to work last night and work all throughout this weekend -even Sunday, So I wont be able to look. =( . I just looked this morning again around Santon Downham village. At this point with no more sightings I'm frightened they have been stolen. Dog theft is big in this area. They must be in the woods between there somewhere. It was Little Lodge that reported the sighting the night before and saw the dogs run down the dirt road along the river we just took.
