Sadly Vito's body has been found where he went missing. He died doing what whippets love doing best.
We are so grateful to everyone who helped with his search and shared his missing poster.

saturday 11th July. Desperately need some tough folk to do an on the ground walk. Full waterproofs (trousers, wellies, jacket), good footwear, high viz, insect repellant and FIT! The terrain underfoot will be really rough. Meet at he main carpark Devilla forest at 10.30am. Please do not bring dogs, We are going to be searching very rough ground

UPDATE for anyone going to search. Devilla Forrest Carpark FK10 4AS. From the Carpark, walk straight ahead past the logging. Just past this there is a junction. Take the left branch. After about 1 mile there is a turn on the right. Go up this path. The area at the top where there is a U junction is where Vito went missing. Quite a few of us searched today but the terrain is very rough with waist height shrubs, small trees, ferns and some very boggy areas and deep gullies. It would not be advisable to stray off the main path unless you are in a group and have whistles. It would be very easy to get lost. Wellies, full waterproofs & insect repellant . Vito responds to his name.
