Hi All thanks for all your support over the last 5 days, I'm delighted to report that Ollie has been found by a fisherman about 1 hour ago. He is safe and well at home and looks hungry and dirty after spending what appears to be a majority of his time stuck down a hole!. Thanks again you've all been amazing.
Rubybella
Well done for all the posters, definitely getting people talking when I am out and about. Have you spoken to people in Mole Valley Country Store and Birchwood Farm shop (the owner of Farm shop lives on Gun Hill !), also speak to staff in Talbooth.
I am in Langham so am keeping any eye out every day on my drive to Dedham. If you do get a possible sighting I would be happy to help with a search.
Dan whitney
Thank you all for you support and help, there is still no sign. There may have been a sighting this evening around Langham hall on Gun Hill but no sign yet. We will keep everyone posted and continue to search.

Have been out walking nearby this morning and spending the word. I have seen a few posters that have been put up by the owner. Let's hope
Ollie appears soon. Would it be worth owner contacting Anglian Water as the water works are not that far away ?

I don't live far away from there and know few people in stratford. Also know quite a few who walk their dogs down there. I walk in Dedham and will mention to other dog walkers. Will spread the word.
Have asked for message to get to the farmer at Docuras Farm who owns land nearby. Has owner spoken to owners of Langham Hall and their game keeper?Last edited: 2015-07-14 22:00:43 by Rubybella

I will add to DogLost Essex FB as well. Hopefully owner will get lots of posters up around these places of mobile homes etc. Sharing, Helen. x

PS I'll stick to the Higham side of the river for now. There have been lots of itinerant workers in the area over the last couple of years - they live in mobile homes and move about a bit. It's worth asking the local farm management people (eg Giffords Hall and Tendring Hall which owns most of the land north of the Stour here) to ask their workers to keep an eye out. These people are not usually English and don't know the law.
I'll send the DL page to Hector, the local land agent, who's a shooting man

I just walked for two hours in the fields along the Stour, on the track which is part of St Edmunds Way from Nether Hall Farm off the Stoke to Higham Rd, right down to the Stour bridge at Low Lift Cottages, then back up almost to Wasses Farm (on the track off St Ed's Way, not on the footpath up from the bridge as there are cattle up there in summer). I called and whistled, and my staffie would have found another dog if one were hiding. No sign of Ollie, not a bark nor a sound, nor did I see anyone...

Please go to Stratford post office and ask posties to look out for him. I'm off to walk Max and will let people i meet know, also mention to a friend that works at Mole Farmers Shop and the Tesco driver who delivers my shopping this afternoon. I'm near Holton, was down Green Lanes this morning picking greens and leaves for bunnies and goats nothing about! Praying for Ollie's safe return!
CorbiereW
Again, if owners print off posters and flyers I can help put some around. I can't print any, but could pick some up - text me on 07947 036054.

Be sure to poster in the shop and restaurant at Hall Farm beside Stratford Church which is heavily used by locals.
CorbiereW
I live very close to Stratford - I'll go down there shortly and search this pm from the Higham side along the tracks by the Stour.

I wonder if all these local disappearances /thefts have anything to do with the recent setting up of a large traveller camp at Kesgrave on the outskirts of Ipswich? :(
