- Hi everybody, Elle here... I have heard from Tania this morning that Scruffy has been found! He isn't in the best shape and is being treated at the vets. I am away at the moment and am waiting to hear more,
Thankyou so so very much for all of your help, although it was at times frustrating communicating with her via me! I am over the moon for Tania and her family. Thankyou again. - 2015-07-25 19:41 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- Sorry posting went on twice! I put some posters up on Friday but I can print off a load at work in colour if there is a group of us to go around and put them up?
- 2015-07-19 13:57 Maria
- I don't suppose there is any news is there?? Maybe we can all meet up and coordinate a search?

- Elle, did you receive the email I sent? Very important that owners read it and the attachments. If someone has taken him, he needs to be made too hot to handle. Also check any other dangers in the area e.g. water, rail, roads etc. Just get those posters up in 100s - yes 100's! He could have been taken yes. If by a well meaning person, dog warden should be informed and perhaps tomorrow, being Monday, something will come to light. By a not so nice person? Get Scruffy so famous he has to be returned. Call the papers, adverts, radio etc etc - even if they refuse, someone at some point will say yes. We try everything! x

- The owners live in the Parkinson drive area near the cemetery.

- Maria, that was my concern... I do wonder whether he has been taken. Somebody, somewhere must have seen him.

- Hi all, thanks so much for the comments, sorry I have only just seen them and worked out how to reply. I am Elle, a friend and ex colleague acting on behalf of Scruffys owners... I would be beside myself if I lost one of my dogs and just had to help, I have passed on any information I have managed to obtain about how and when he went missing, I am waiting to see if he is microchipped and neutered.
There is now a page on Facebook for distributing information www.facebook.com/findscruffy and his owners mobile number is on there along with my own.
I registered him lost with the local dog warden and also followed the lead to Wallace kennels.. Unfortunately neither have him. I believe his owner has been telephoning local vets and has been actively looking but has been at a family event today. - 2015-07-17 23:27 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Emailed owner.

- I have been out looking and put up some posters. I noticed that there is a fair or circus either starting up or closing down (not sure which as I hadn't previously noticed) in the park by the cricket ground. Don't want him to be found by gypsies. Any news??

- I just had a text back from the owner. Scruffy was lost around near the bridge before Marconi pond (not sure which one this is but will find out) they do the same route each day twice. Owner is appreciative of support. I shall get off work early and go and have a look.

- The only thing I've been able to find out is that the owner lives near the cemetery off writtle road.
Which is good, owner lives near to where the dog went missing so could be trying to make his own way back, especially if it is a route that is walked often - now trying to find out if this is the case or not. - 2015-07-17 14:18 Maria
- Hi Sazza, thanks for update. I agree it is odd that no one can get a response from owner. I'd be going loopy if it was one of ours lost but I guess there could be all sorts of reasons I suppose. I was hoping maybe he had been found and they hadn't reported it. I could get out this afternoon/evening to look but as you say need some ideas of location and where he might try to head back to etc. I am also not around a lot this weekend.

- Hi Maria, I heard from someone else (a friend of owner) who said shes waiting to hear from owner.
I'm STILL waiting, it's now been 6 hours, no offence but if it was me, I would have replied ages ago. Messaged her friend again to see if I can get any information, nothing!
I was able to leave work during the day to go out and look, but since the information is very vague, I haven't. Kinda need an idea on where we need to be looking, where the owner lives in correlation to where the dog went missing as he may be trying to find his own way back.
Unfortunately I'm now not around for the majority of the weekend. However, the second I get any information I will let you know.

- Just checking in for news. Have printed off posters and will start putting them up near park. I am on the edge of the park at the Writtle end/Beeches Road. Have sent text too to number above. Would be great if Scruffy had been found safe and sound.
- 2015-07-17 12:30 Angel Sasha (Bella's Angels)
- Can owner make contact with Sazza please or post more details about when, where and how scruffy went missing? Bella's Angels can't help if we can't get hold of any details.
However I have shared to sales and pet pages in Chelmsford - 2015-07-17 11:50 CopperM
- Has owner contacted Wallace Kennels in Stondon Massey, Brentwood, as they are the pound for Chelmsford? 01277 821032
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Wallace-Kennels/139155222803344
Could the home road name be added, please, in case Scruffy is trying to make his way there?
Is he neutered, by any chance? Chipped? - 2015-07-17 09:37 LT
- I'm CM1 but on the very edge near Broomfield so will keep a look out around this way. Also shared on FB.

- Maria - still waiting to hear! I've sent a text message to both numbers on the flyer that was circulating on facebook.
I've used Buddy's (The poodle cross that went missing back in April) facebook page as he went missing admirals park, so same kinda area. Buddy still has over 1000 liker's so posting on there will raise awareness to quite a few people. Already have someone that's going out riding her bike in the area as she has a few days off.
Going back to December last year, a pug (also called buddy) went missing in central park and he was found around the area of the fire station, but yeah until I know where in central park it's hard to figure out which direction. Last edited: 2015-07-17 09:28:13 by Sazza - 2015-07-17 09:11 Maria
- I am in CM1 and have two schnauzers, I know I'd be distraught so I can help come out and look later. Will await further news following Sazza's post below.

- Alerts sent to helpers in CM1,2.

- ALERTS needs to be sent ASAP please.
Trying to contact owners to find out where in central park, direction dog went, what time etc.
Have some of Bella's Angels ready to go once we've got information.
