Sadly while I was away on holiday I had a call from the owners to say that Fly had been found in the fields while harvesting. Run free Fly - a very much loved family pet. The family tried so so hard to find Fly.

Posted on Spotted Chesterfied about half an hour a go - Black/whiteish bits on border collie type dog on fairview road Dronfield this morning. Tried to approach numerous times but just kept running away scared . I have added the Doglost link to the post

My husband and some friends are cycling along the canal from Chesterfield towards Stavely this evening. I will ask them to look out for Fly

Thanks for supplying the full route which Tiga tracked. I knew where he went in general but not in detail. I would also suggest postering the next section of the Trans Pennine Way which goes up to Renishaw.

That is a huge relief that there has been a sighting of Fly three days after he was hit by the taxi - this hopefully confirms he has recovered enough to try and find his way home.
The areas to continue searching and postering and where Tiga tracked from and to are Poolsbrook Country Park, most of Staveley as we went several different ways through and behind, the Chesterfield Canal particulary from Morrisons towards Chesterfield as far as New Brimington and back along the A619 Chesterfield Road back into Staveley, along Cemetry Lane where the sighting was and onto Fan Road and the Trans Pennine Way heading north of Lowgates and along various footpaths to the Nature Reserve which led back to owners farm. There was a huge network of footpaths and cycle routes in this area which could be heavily postered.
The owners start harvesting in the next few days so it would be great if Fly could be home before they start.

Chrissie Bartlett has been searching Poolsbrook and has just spoken with a couple walking their dogs who saw Fly late on Saturday night on the Trans Pennine Way near Staveley and Poolsbrook.
