- Seeks, that is such a lovely posting.
I am sure he is having a whale of a time at Rainbow Bridge - 2015-07-23 13:15 Seeks
- Little chap.....I got so up set over you...I feel I let you down....I just glad we found you ....I wish it had been sooner.
I passed the bit you were in so often the last month....I didn't know boy..I just didn't know. I found out about you on Monday when a friend rang and asked if I knew about you.....I wish I had.
WE don’t know your name. Don’t know how you got to be there….How you got hurt….You did look at peace baby you really did.
I wish so much we had known you were there…All this time I been driving past you and I wish I had known you were there.
We couldn’t hold you and say good bye….
Just know we did the best we could for you and had it been cooler I would have brought you home and buried you with my own but lad I know you understand your shell is your shell and your over that bridge clear of pain in the love over there.
You take so many tears from a stranger. Your loved in death and will not be forgotten. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - 2015-07-23 00:19 digbysmum

- Fergal all his hair in the water was dark dunn brindle or dark liver....A fair bit of white judging fro =m the skin pigmentation but not like Buddy at all. He also is sort of adolescence looking ...he was adolescent growth with his no neutered part to Buddy looks older and possibly bigger. xx
Oh and yes they can come any which way AND when I postered that road for Tess thee were some parked near but not all are bad so well it could be coincidence....just....I hope his end was very quick ....He did look kind of peaceful xx

- Ah but whales don't have chips, that'l be why. Seriously, you did the dirty work, and had the heart to go with me with your scanner Seeks, I won't forget that in a hurry... Seeks, would you look at Buddy 89470 ? I know it's Wales but don't certain people come through that way to here? The vet did say party colour, possibly black as well as brown, but could you actually tell from your photos?
.... just noticed he went missing 5 days ago so probably not, as people were saying they had seen it before then.Last edited: 2015-07-22 01:48:48 by Fergal - Area Volunteer - Cornwall - 2015-07-22 00:03 Seeks
- JC 100% NOT Pringle I promise you. Pringle doesn't have as much white as this poor boy did xx
Fergal thanks for all your help. I could never have got him back up that bank without you ...Nor found the poor lad either. Tis odd with all that dead fox, dog, sheep they never once mentioned the 20' dead whale.......xx - 2015-07-21 20:14 Unknown

- Seeks used her Halo (the scanner one, not the one over her head) but could find no chip. After scrambling down the bank she managed to get it into a bag for us to take it to the vet. The vet was great and did a good examination, confirming that it was a Whippet, and had extensive bruising in the groin area. Penbode will not be keeping the body, but should anyone in the Bude/Widmouth area know of a liver/white or brindle/white whippet gone missing locally they may be able to contact the vet direct (maybe they have other markings they know of). No sign of any other dog or fox or sheep on the beach, but there WAS a huge whale on the beach, very smelly.
