- This is heartbreaking and making my eyes all watery. The only 'good' thing is you can lay her to rest and say goodbye to her physical being. She will always live on in your heart. Maybe the sightings weren't her. Animals will quite often, if they can, take themselves off somewhere when their time comes. Maybe it was Coco's time. Bless you all x

- Oh no! what a heartbreaking outcome. I'm so very sad to read this news. My heart goes out to her owners in this tragic outcome. The only blessing is that they've now got closure and won't be left just wondering what had happened to Coco. So very sorry for you all.

- I'm so miserable ... I just had a call from the Wardens at Virginia Water. They have Coco, but she was found dead on the Causeway between the lakes, where I lost her. They can't see any injury ... I guess that she just ran herself into the ground. She had been to Windlesham and back. I will collect her this afternoon. Thanks again for all your help ... I just wish that the outcome had been different. I can't face talking at the moment, but will ring soon - Graham.

- Emails have gone to Wentworth Golf Club, Sunningdale Golf Club and Foxhills, asking that her details are passed to their groundsmen. Wentworth has already agreed to do that, Foxhills I'm sure will as they are customers of ours, and am hoping Sunningdale will too. Will send to Windlesham Golf Course too, although they probably are already aware.
- 2015-07-27 14:03 LostPALS
- Skywalker99, it's not actually as far as it seems. If she went from where she was lost at the Totem Pole in Virginia Waters (part of the Great Park), through Sunningdale to Windlesham it would be about the right amount of time, from the 21st to when she was sighted. I believe the lady who reported the one running in Windlesham has been shown Coco's photos and is 100% certain it is her. Just wish we could get another sighting soon so we know where to look next. xLast edited: 2015-07-27 14:04:42 by LostPALS

- Email sent and auto-response came back, so I know they have had it. Have asked them to email me and let me know when it has been sent to the contractors.
- 2015-07-27 13:55 Unknown
- I know that they can travel but is it realsitic those little daschund legs got the 10 miles or son from Windsor great park to windlesham in about 2-3 days? Are savill garden and wentworth/sunningdale golf courses aware?
- 2015-07-27 13:43 LostPALS
- Just spoken to Highways England and they have given me the contact email to send the details and photo too, and will pass them onto the contractors. She assured me they will definitely do this, so will send them the details now. x

- Did have one thought - can anyone find out the company who are doing all the roadworks on that stretch of the M3? Would be good to show her poster to them in case anyone sees or has seen anything
- 2015-07-27 13:23 PaulaK
- Sadly I can only do weekends - great to hear of people out and about putting posters up, keep it up, we must find her for Graham x
- 2015-07-27 12:56 csquaredb
- Have Battersea been told about Coco? Just seen that another dog found in a nearby area was taken to their Windsor site.
- 2015-07-27 09:56 LostPALS
- Sadly I am at work all day so unlikely to get a chance to go out to look. Good luck today, let's hope this week is the one where she comes home.
- 2015-07-27 08:57 pitzij
- I am going out postering today in Chobham Village. Looking at an Ordnance Survey map, I have been trying to ascertain where Coco went off the M3. Judging by where she was first seen (running past Brickmakers pub) she would have veered off towards the M3 before the big roundabout. if she disappeared down a bank it looks likely she came out west of Chobham Common and may have made her way down between Highams Lane and Windsor Road. This is nearer to Chobham Village and Burrowhills. So will try this area today. Are you searching again today Pearly Jones or PaulaK ?

- Just got back from the Common. Popped into work earlier and made some laminated posters. Replaced one of Graham's posters as it had got too wet, with a new one. Put some up around the Common on trees. Did hear some far off yapping in the undergrowth so crawled in to have a look but no sign of anything and we think the noise was a from a dog we saw a couple of minutes later, who had been in the same area. The Newsagent in Sunningdale has agreed to put one in his window, as it is only down the road from the Common's car parks. Have put one up at the entrance to the Windlesham Golf Club in their car park next to The Brickmakers as lots of dog walkers use that. Windlesham village notice-board/fence now has one pinned to it. Budgens in Lightwater have put one up in their store on the customer notice board. And have taped one to the most prominent dog poop bin at the entrance of Lightwater Country Park next to the lake. No sign of Coco sadly but spoke to Graham briefly and he is doing so much to find her, he really deserves a break. Come on Coco, show your little face and come home!
- 2015-07-26 10:59 pitzij
- Nothing this morning sadly, but bad weather probably not helping as she could be trying to stay dry. Will resume tomorrow with posters and looking in a different area if she's still missing
- 2015-07-26 08:26 PaulaK
- Thats great pitzij thanks. I was at staple hill yesterday looking. I went over this morning at 5.30 along roads from Brickmakers to roundabout then onto the common for a walk but saw nothing sadly. Will try and get back over again later today. Did you manage to get any posters up? I cant print until tomorrow
- 2015-07-26 08:13 pitzij
- Hi I went looking yesterday and met Graham at the Staple Hill Car Park on Chobham Common in the evening, walked for an hour there, but no luck. I am going to try starting from Chobham Village this morning, and along Gracious Pond Road, which borders the south side of the Common in case she has gone that way. I am texting Graham to let him know. There are two others possibly joining me.

- Ive just tried contacting Graham. Thanks everyone for your posts. I just hope she stays safe and allows herself to be caught

Good luck and I hope Coco is found and home soon. - 2015-07-25 22:03 csquaredb
- Thanks Fran. Really good to have a confirmed sighting. Fingers crossed for more tomorrow. x

- That really helps. Thanks Fran. We think she is either heading home or at least onto familiar territory. Fingers crossed she's home soon. Thanks for posting. It's invaluable information. x

- Sorry for not replying sooner. My friend saw Coco running up the road by Brickmakers heading up to Chobham roundabout yesterday. (she has seen picture and is sure it is Coco) and phoned me straight away and I posted on here. A man in a landrover was stopping traffic and they were trying to catch her. I hope she is found soon. - Been over to the Common this morning and twice along the road past the Brickmakers where she may have been seen last night. No sign, but we will go back tomorrow. Graham, sounds you are doing all the right things. As Paula says, putting some posters up at the carparks on the Common will help make everyone aware. Anything we can do to help, let us know. Will keep checking back here for more info and will go out again tomorrow if she's not home by then. Have everything crossed for her speedy return.
- 2015-07-25 10:41 PaulaK
- Heading over shortly
- 2015-07-25 09:38 csquaredb
- Thanks Me n my girl. Am hoping sighting was about 1 mile north of junction, as that sort of ties in. Original post bit vague so have asked for more clarification. Evidently she's been walked regularly at Chobham Common in the past. That part of the M3 has major roadworks at the moment, with big dividing walls, so think its unlikely she's crossed directly over the motorway. I'm not local to there either, but am guessing there must be routes through beneath the motorway? Is there anyone local who could poster please?
- 2015-07-25 09:22 csquaredb
- I've emailed Surrey Wildlife trust to ask their rangers to keep an eye out for her on Chobham Common.

- I'm Essex so I did a google map job and tape measure. Sighter said it was M3 southbound and about 1 mile from Lightwater turnoff. Be good if owner could get tracker while scent still fresh. Hope she keeps heading away from M3. csquaredb I've deleted my comments re B3015 to avoid confusion. Last edited: 2015-07-25 09:01:22 by Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer

- Me n my girl, think B3015 is too far down the M3. Seems highly likely that the dog seen on the M3 at 6:15 was the same one seen at 5:55 heading from the Bricklayers towards Chobham common, which is split by the M3. Timing-wise, seems likely that it was on this stretch she was seen. Have asked if sighter could ring Graham directly, so he'll know exactly where she was seen.

- Is it worth having a word with tracking duo Jenny and Tiga whilst scent is fresh? www.k9tracker.co.uk. **** comments deleted**** Don't know if there are any local "lost dog groups" (Camberley and Lightwater)that this can be shared with.Last edited: 2015-07-25 08:57:54 by Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer

- Thank you all for your help ... I'm still out looking for Coco. Csquaredb I'll follow your advice and call 101 - thanks.
- 2015-07-24 23:07 csquaredb
- Graham, are the police aware re Coco? Would be worth calling them on 101 just in case someone has picked her up x
- 2015-07-24 22:53 csquaredb
- Have just looked at 89868. Location and timing fits in with this being the same dog as seen near the Bricklayers. Description would seem to fit with it being Coco."It was very small, brown & black, not sure of breed but poss something like a dachs?" Unfortunately sighted dog was on the M3, but it did disappear down a bank away from the motorway, so keeping everything crossed x
- 2015-07-24 22:07 Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer
- Please take a look at sighted not caught ID 89868 7.5 miles away.
- 2015-07-24 21:13 csquaredb
- Hoping if she was seen on the road, that someone may have stopped and picked her up. Would be worth checking that she's not been handed in to Millbrook RSPCA at Chobham, as it would be an obvious place for anyone local to take her.
- 2015-07-24 19:42 csquaredb
- Fran, did you see the dog or did you see a post somewhere about her? Owner on way over there now. Fingers crossed x
- 2015-07-24 19:25 csquaredb
- Think it's Chobham Common, not Cobham.
- 2015-07-24 19:18 csquaredb
- Have texted owner so they know to check this page
- 2015-07-24 17:56 Fran

- Thanks Janet and Molly. Ive spoken with C0co's owner. She was within feet of him one minute and the next she had vanished. She was pushing her ball around, when last seen by the totem pole. Owner has contacted Battersea, and has searched all around. Ive suggested getting posters up, once we have a photo, which will be coming shortly. Where she vanished is a lot of undergrowth and a pond with steep sides. If anyone is able to help check this area, that would be much appreciated. Im emailing advice sheets now
