- Thanks for updates and by the look of it she will be found a new loving and forever home in the very near future. Good luck girlie xx

- Finally had a text from the note through the door. Present owners have been there over 4 years and not their dog. x

- No-one rang from the note left through the registered address so no other news. x

- What a lovely dog. Sure she won't be long in rescue (if owner not found) before someone offers her a home.

- Thank goodness she has a rescue space if not claimed. Not knowing what a lead is may or may not be significant, we farm and our much loved dogs are useless on leads as they are hardly ever on one.

- Trawled the internet again tonight in case there is something somewhere about her ever being stolen but can't find anything :(

- Update so far, have spoken to vets, as has the lady from Doglost. They will NOT give any further info other than the general description. No chip number, names, nothing. Please forward info to anyone whose dog this might be. They will have to contact vet and confirm info on chip themselves. This is not one of the three stolen from Deenethorpe.
24/07 update: Chip number defunct. No-one at address (note left) and dog hasn't been to local vet (that she was chipped/registered at) for a long time.
24/07 update#2: Dog warden has seen the dog now~been used for breeding, doesn't know what a lead is and is very nervous etc. She will have to do her 7 days in pound, but already has a rescue place lined up smile emoticon - 2015-07-24 13:39 Liz Q

- Updates so far...chip number is dead, no-one at address or neighbours (note left), she hasn't been to the vet for a long time. Dog warden has seen her today and she's been used for breeding, doesn't know what a lead is and is very nervous. Good news however is that she has rescue lined up if not claimed in seven days x

- Nearest Tourist Information Office might be a good place to advise of found dog.

- Facebook post: "Has anyone who has a holiday cottage or B&B got guests from Northampton area who have lost a Springer Spaniel? One was found on the mountain near Ffarmers. Microchipped to a Northampton address, but I guess no reply because they may be on holiday. Please share around the area. Dog is currently at Davies & Potter vets but will be going to the pound tomorrow."
I've spoken to the vet this morning who would only tell me the dog is a liver & white springer bitch. The dog is still with them (Davies & Potter, their number on post).
Not one of the spaniels stolen from Deenethorpe.
Please contact vet with any further questions.
