If there is anyone in the Downham end area of BPP that can still remove posters of Kiah that would be helpful as posters are still up apparently. I'm not that side of the park nor at BPP that much so if anyone sees posters of Kiah up still, can you please remove them, thank you.

Yes I agree, no blame to be held anywhere - just so glad Kiah is back home and safe x
charlie and sooty
Please STOP pointing the finger, just all be thankful that Kiah is home. So glad Kiah is home safe and well. And well done to all involved x

As I understand it, the dog walker was advised to let her off the lead and the dog walker has been beside herself with worry, as you can imagine. I am so glad the lady looked after her, but with the chip check Kiah would have been home a lot sooner and a lot less heartached for all concerned. But, yes, who woul dhave thought a lost dog was not local? Unless you are part of doglost.co.uk you really woul dnot know these things. So many things can lead up to a loss and affect an outcome. This is one lucky furbaby and I am so glad the outcome was good even though it took a while to reach that point. So very, very pleased. Kisses for Kiah. God bless. x

So lovely to see that the very beautiful Kiah is now safely back home. Stay safe and close lovely girl from now on. xx
julie
I am so grateful that this lovely lady was able to gain Kiah's trust and treat her with such kindness. She did not have her chip checked as she thought she would have to pay for this service, so she did posters in her local area understandably thinking this dog was local.
With out pointing fingers it was the dog walker who let her off the lead on her first meeting /dog walk. Not helpful to read others comments on here when they don't know the facts.
We were very grateful for everyone's help and support and hope that this is a lesson learnt to go by your instincts and not let a dog off the lead on your walk.
We don't hold anyone accountable and neither should others on here.
And with out Dog lost we would not of had as much communication and the outcome of all outcomes, our Kiah is home.Last edited: 2015-08-24 22:30:48 by julie

had a weekend away ,and so happy kiah is home spoke to julie and is so pleased to have her home , I said all these lovely people that were looking for her for all those weeks would never give up ,, and I want to thank you all ,so very much , If only dogs could talk ? she could tell us if gypsies had taken her ,and when realised shed been spade dumped her , or a delivery driver , found her in his van and just let her go without telling dog wardens etc she did not have her collar on , but we will never know just thank god it was a happy ending xxxxx

Just read this and in tears, so very very happy to learn Kiah is home. Gives us hope that other dogs will be found too and shows they could be anywhere. Dogslost is simply the best!!!

I am gobsmacked! But SOOOOO HAPPY!! This really proves that we realy never know what happens to our dogs Thank goodness for DogLost! And thank goodness for the person who told the lady to look here! Someone clearly took Kiah there and that is so out of order! I would possibly take a guess, and say that Kiah escaped first chance she got, hence her being lost in Birmingham. Well done Kiah and well done all those searchers and helpers. Even tough Kiah was found miles away, you kept the owners/dog walker going; you kept them supported. Without you it would have been a lot harder. Well done. Welcome home you lovely sweet girlie. xxx

lovely happy ending - but baffled why it doesn't appear the dog warden was told.....and/or she wasn't scanned for a chip. once again thank heavens for doglost reuniting another dog

JanisB it would actually be more than 130 miles as Kiah was in Walsall some way further north than Birmingham. The lovely lady that phoned Julie last night was not interested in any reward and genuinely wanted Julie to be back with the family where she belonged despite having fallen in love with Kiah and having made a big effort locally to find the owner by making up some posters and putting them up. It was only when another person saw her posters that she was told about Dog Lost and it was suggested to her to look on this site which she did and saw Kiah was missing and immediately phoned Julie. I do hope that this lady will one day have a dog of her own as she clearly looked after Kiah very well and enjoyed taking her for walks.
This is where Dog Lost wins by being a national register and open to all.

How incredible, although nothing should really surprise us on this site! No wonder there had been no sightings!!! Like so many others, I would love to know how she got to Birmingham. I'm so happy for her owner. Does Kiah wear an ID on her collar? If not, could she have a nice, new shiney ID tag to compliment her microchip as a welcome home present? It's actually law for a dog to wear a visible form of ID and, from Kiah's photo, it doesn't look like she has one (although may be an old picture). Welcome home Kiah!!!
JanisB
Oh my giddy aunt what GREAT news! :-) Should have checked this site this morning cos we've just distributed more Kiah posters, to Glendale at Mountsfield Park this morning! Hah, never mind,. This is brilliant news. Thank God for decent people like the lady who looked after Kiah in Birmingham. What a shame dogs can't talk. Would love Kiah to tell us how she managed to travel 130 miles all by herself.
ellejay
Just seen the news on fb..Thanks Debbie for tagging me. So so happy she has been found. Everyone has worked so hard looking for her and never giving up. Thank god for the kind lady who found her what an angel she is. Massive relief for family and I hope Kiah is now sleeping of her adventure with plenty of cuddles xx
WalkieswithAce
Just heard the fantastic news - such a happy ending for once. Fantastic the power of social media and the microchip; such an unusual outcome :-) I've been so concerned about Kiah as the weeks have passed and no sightings. To be fair Jayne, Admin, as I understand it, the dog was with a family member dropping her off and walking with the dog walker when she went missing so I don't really think it is down to the dog walker that she went missing in the first place. The owners also didn't mention that she was a dog easily spooked. So in any case, if a dog walker is not given the full information by the owner, well it doesn't help! Lucky Kiah being found by someone who did the right thing! But whoever found her, took her to Birmingham and left her - how cruel and heartless. However a good example of why your dog should be chipped.Last edited: 2015-08-24 09:57:04 by Skywalker99

Oh WOW that is just so great. I am sure owner is more that delighted especially with the fact it was a match on her that brought her home - not forgetting the on going support from some great helpers Monica Debbie and Tracey ( too many to name them all) and the behind the scenes continued support from BB41. WELL DONE ALL!

We know, we had to double check she actually said Birmingham. She reported going for a walk with her friend 2 weeks ago and came across a very scared dog in the woods. She went s got some treats from the local shop and kiah eventually came out. She then took her home and posted locally posters saying "if some one has lost a dog please ca her". She was also told to check this site and that is when she found our poster of Kiah. The lady seamed genuine and it sounded like she completely fell in love with Kiah.
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Full story....A lady in Birmingham found a border collie and was walking the streets looking for the owners and putting posters up...some one rang her through the posters and told her about doglost...lady checked doglost and spotted Kiah...photos were exchanged she reacted to the name Kiah and most importantly the chip matched...TG someone asked the lady to check Doglost!

I am also confused...can someone clarify please?

Please can I happily report that Kiah is now safely home with us. Her ID No is 89855.
Thank you to everyone for all the support over the last 4weeks.
I just hope that this is a reminder to all dog walkers NOT to let a unfamiliar dog off the lead on the first walk.

Confused, Kiah has been found in Birmingham?
julie
A huge thank you to Bernie who had seen kiahs photo on here and called to tell us that the dog she has been looking after a dog for the last 2 weeks. She sent photos to me in we were 99% sure it was her. We asked could we come and get her and she agreed. The lady lives in Birmingham.

Thank you as well to Debbie and Monica and so many others who have been looking for Kiah for the last 4weeks. You told us not to give up.

Took posters to Allpets vets last week. Have just shared poster on two Facebook collie groups. ( 'Wonderful World of Border Collies' and 'We are Talking Border Collies'). Taking some posters to Chinbrook Dog Show in a minute.
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
Julie should put pressure on the rail network to check track and if they refuse she should contact a local newspaper and tell them they refuse to search. If she walked on tracks she could have easily came out at ladywell. So far I ve not received confirmation if any other dog similar to collie has been missing in that area. WalkieswithAce khia stayed safe for defo 3 weeks as last confirmed sighting was Thursday so let's hope she stayed away from tracks. However, we have an unconfirmed sighting in Ladywell on Friday which in my view Should be investigated further as khia could be had either follow the track or the riverLast edited: 2015-08-20 16:01:18 by Monica - Area Volunteer, South London

Map of park and golf course. Not sure the one below is correct. http://www.beckenhamplaceparkfriends.org.uk/naturetrail.html
WalkieswithAce
Hate to bring this up again as it's a very sore subject, but has the railway track been walked? There are holes in fences on the Ravensbourne side where it would be possible for a larger dog to access the track. It would be great to be able to rule that out. Foxes scents are very strong and could have enticed her to follow their routes through and under fences.
DogLostDebbie - Area Volunteer, South London
Valeria and her partner went out this evening, comments as follows:
Searched: Parallel to Beckenham Hill From 8th to 7th Hole, including fenced off pond area. 7th and 8th Tee not hole ( where they stand to hit the ball!)
Behind 5th tee Whole area from 3rd hole to 2nd tee including the area where the stream that feeds into the ditch starts Basically the South West corner of the park
It is very, very thick in there, millions of fox dens.

Here's a link with a map of the golf course for reference.

I covered the Foxgrove Club/Pub spoke to someone there, few posters up in the parking area, some posters down the side dirt road off Westgate along by the golf club. Did all of Westgate Rd, it runs across 2 junctions (Foxgrove Rd and Avenue Rd), only managed bus stops in Foxgrove Road near junction Westgate Rd/Foxgrove Rd as ran out of posters, tapes and drawing pins. Also noticed older posters that were put up - a lot of them had vanishedLast edited: 2015-08-20 00:00:35 by Debbie - Area Volunteer, South London

Yesterday I have checked all the overgrown area of the other side of the river from silver gate down to Millwall ground. I actually enterzed Millwall ground from there as I followed foxes paths. So I don't think she could be stuck in there as there are way in. I walked through the scrubby field into the Warren playing field. I then entered the Beckeham place golf course near hole 13 from the top of the park near Southend lane but without leaving the park. That area is very quite. I could not check the wood area in the golf course as it was getting very dark. The train line runs along that side so if she entered the golf course she would ve to come up all the way to the end of the golf course near Southend park entrance to come out again. Golf club is more quieter than the park so that area should be checked and posters put up to alert players. Khia stayed 3 weeks in surrounding area as last she showed up on Thursday so by now she will be familiar with the ground and if she is not scared she would stay in the same circle/triangle. Kiah's owners - Jenny is k9tracker.co.uk, I was a bit confused when you said someone wanted £25 per hour!

Whichever dog tracker is charging £25 per hour should be ashamed. My services are free - the reward is finding the dog safely. I am now back from hols and can start to respond to all the requests for help.

Farnaby rd, Waren avenue and Warren park have all got posters, the boys went earlier today and did them.
Many people stopped and asked them about Kiah and how they are all keeping a look out, but no one has seen her at all.
boys will do more posters tomorrow nearer Ladywell end, just in case.
items that were left and seated from us have been moved further in.
I wil meet with Debbie and give her more items as she has a friend who's dog might be able to find her.
Jackie we are happy to go with you into the Millwall grounds if that is any help.

yes the millwall grounds man has rung me to ask if kiah had been found ,and will keep the poster up , and keep looking around when quite ,were very help full ,man and gave me his number if need to go through gate only way in apart from the river in some parts x
WalkieswithAce
I'm wondering if anyone has tried talking to the Millwall groundsmen. The undergrowth on their side of the river, flanking the training ground is really dense (I walked it a couple of weeks back looking for Kiah). The grounds act as a dead end is she is there - the fencing at the far end that ajoins the path alongside Warren Avenue Playing Fields is impenetrable, so in effect she could have run in there and found herself stuck. Also there's an open container at the back of the scrubby field linking Warren Avenue with BPP. Has that been checked to see if she's hiding in it? You used to be able to walk along that part of the field but it's so overgrown with brambles and nettles it's impossible. Unless you go there with secateurs and gloves. Just some suggestions. I am positive Kiah will be found. SophieLast edited: 2015-08-18 14:59:57 by WalkieswithAce

Provided further advices to Julie. I strongly believe khia is still in the park and further search will be carried out this week while posters will continue to go up in surrounding roads. The entrance of the park where she has been seen in the last 3 weeks leads to very busy roads and khia in her mode will tend to go back in the park as she is so scared. However, if she goes further down to other exits like in crab hill is much quieter. Posters for some reasons keep coming down which is very frustrating but we need to keep going. We will find her and surely we will not give up
DogLostDebbie - Area Volunteer, South London
Hi JanisB, that's great thank you. Not sure if that vet has been covered. Foxgrove Club someone took posters in there and few weeks back (Millys Mum
I spoke to my neighbour and he is happy to put up 3 or 4 posters in and around the Foxgrove Club.) so that's been done thank you.
JanisB
Just to let Julie and everyone know I have been visiting BPP with my collie for the last three days keeping an eye out for Kiah.Spoken to lots of people to ask them to keep looking and pointing out posters if people haven't seen them. (Not many hadn't seen the posters).

Will take some posters to All Pets Veterinary surgery on Bromley Road if this hasn't been done. Has anyone been to the Foxgrove Club (pub/club place in BPP)? I will take posters there too if not. JanisLast edited: 2015-08-17 14:17:50 by JanisB

Tunnels under peter's pan pool checked through to Catford. We think only one place she might of been able to get out would be in Bellingham. Walls are far to high for her to jump up at at other points of the river.
DogLostDebbie - Area Volunteer, South London
ellejay see the post further down from Lewisham council re the other park think it's Ladywell, we think that might have been Kiah also as it's in a straight line 3 miles from Downham end of BPP but not 100% sure. OK great Julie I'm going to BPP bit later so will have a scout around, maybe mention re: shirt to Monica? DebbieLast edited: 2015-08-15 14:41:40 by Debbie - Area Volunteer, South London

Mark was out this morning at 5. When he got to the BPP his shirt he had hidden 2 nights ago was no longer there. We are going to lady well to put more posters out and a fresh shirt in BPP

What Park was she heading to by the Car Cleaners ? The little Peters Pans park by Traffic lights ? Or Downham Playing Fields ? I wonder if she is still in area then, if she is going behind the shops ( tesco, KFC Iceland etc ) as there are big bins there which are normally overflowing with food waste, always see foxes ripping boxes open behind there. Has anyone gone there late at night or early hours to see if she is scavenging ? I live not far so am constantly driving around.

Thanks Julie for update, think BPP is the best place, someone will call you later, I've texted you, thanks Debbie

Kimmybear posters are up at Railway stations Ravensbourne, New Beckenham, Penge East (back of by Newlands Park Road). There are rail workers by Ravensbourne station and they do have a poster too. National rail emailed to say being investigated. Posters are up in various areas, please see comments below. Not sure anyone has handed posters out to train drivers unfortunately I don't use the trains so haven't been able to do that.
Lewisham Council
Stray collie reported in SE4 running up Merrit Road towards Brockley Road. No other details sorry. Given the location its likely to be a dog that has run from hilly Fields but thought I would put it up in case. The river does go from Beckenham Place Park to Ladywell Fields so there is a small possibility it may be her. Last edited: 2015-08-13 13:56:11 by Lewisham Council

Owner, regarding the railway, you must pester Network Rail and the station. Insist a rail worker walks the track and if they don't, I would suggest you ask the local paper to do an article and mention they won't search for you. You need to put pressure on the railway people. If your furbaby simply vanished into thin air, then this sadly, could explain it. You may never know unless someone walks the tracks. You need to ask questions and you need to persevere. Plaster the station and surrounding area with posters. You need to hand a flyer or poster to every train driver on the platform in both directions. Can you please text this number with your email address 07867308672. I need to give you some advice. Thank you. And yes, if she is still out there, collies do extremely well in the wild and do get back home. We just need to rule out the railway, okay? Pls text. x

3 weeks tomorrow and it's gone fast, yes very clever breed indeed. Thanks Ellejay for what you are doing. They can resurface after 3 weeks and that's what I'm hoping will happen

It really is early days, she could still be hiding out somewhere. This is a breed that can cope in quite harsh conditions.

Julie, please feel free to text me your number on 07518 623934 if you need advice or anything.

Milly's Mum, Thank you for your suggestions and advice, the posters being posted out to helpers are professionally made and designed by a printers in Bolton. We discussed your ideas for the poster design but felt too much information might be detrimental to getting the point across. The printer is a current co-ordinator. xx

debbie and I did the walk that kiah took yesterday looking in all the bushes ect , I will never give up looking , as know sightings feel sure some one has found her in their garden or shed , and has friended her and either hasn't thought that she may belong to someone or just thought they would keep her , if it wasn't such nice people who had her they would of phoned before now asking for a reward , keep refreshing all to remind everyone , never new how many dogs went missing ,everyday xx

So upsetting she has still not been found. I am checking all the free ads daily incase someone has found her, still circulating on twitter and fb.. Informed Eden parks vets, Foxgrove and Andersons vets in Sundridge park. I gave the local cab firm a poster. A few rescues locally know about her. We just gotta hope if she is coming out very late at night or early morning someone will spot her.. but she may have travelled a distance by now :(

Hi Julie, so sorry she's still missing we have been out hunting far and wide and putting up posters, posters in Palace Park, Cator park, Norman Park and obv Beckenham place park at each entrance. All others areas listed in comments on here where posters have gone up. I have today rang National rail who have logged Kiah down and I'll only get a phone call if they find her on the tracks, they won't send out railtrack workers to search but I have told them the stations along that line which is Ravensbourne, Beckenham Hill, Shortlands. Contact name is Paige and ref number is 150812222. I rang 0345 5711 4141 for National Rail. Dog wardens to cover are Lewisham Croydon and Bromley boroughs. Bromley use SDK I checked their website last night for found dogs, they haven't picked up Kiah. Both Lewisham and Croydon are a nightmare to get hold of but please do try the other councils too. Good luck with your search in the Catford area today, always hoping she's found soon, they can resurface even after 3 weeks which will be tomorrow. Sometimes in the parks they come out either very early (5amish) or late evening when the parks get quieter. I'm a volunteer for dog lost for local areas. Loads of dogwalkers keeping their eyes peeled and many people are aware she's missing still.
julie
thanks everyone for all that you have been doing to help find my Kiah, we have been looking daily since our return, and will be searching the catford area today. Im afraid that as no sightings since the 25th July, I do not think she will be found now.
I have been phoing the council with no news.

Didn't get time for any phone calls today but will call N/Rail Tues/Weds. If anyone can still get some posters further afield that would be great. Valeria covered for posters - Shortlands Golf Club and row of shops nearby on Bromley Road, HSBC Sports Centre/Lennard Road, New Beckenham Station and The Mead.
DogLostDebbie - Area Volunteer, South London
Thanks Sophie, yes hoping they are looking for her, Jackie saw them the other morning. Not sure, hoping they've contacted DL. Jackie and I waded in the stream today from the bridges, Downham End towards Peter Pan Park, not as easy as slope and waterfall further down the stream so some street walking too and checked out some nooks/hidy holes, good 3 hours but no sighting
WalkieswithAce
The owners are back form holiday now so presumably they will be able to give some time to finding their dog. Have they been told about DL - maybe they would be the ones to deal with the stations, drivers etc.
DogLostDebbie - Area Volunteer, South London
Thanks Millys Mum for all of the info, unfortunately it's difficult for me to get to train stations so if anyone uses these stations, Ravensbourne, Beckenham Hill and Shortlands please do ask the drivers to keep an eye out for Kiah. I'll phone the national rail number tomorrow and great so many people are aware re Kiah, no sighting still but they can resurface even after 3 weeks so fingers crossed x
DogLostDebbie - Area Volunteer, South London
Thanks Sophie, I've been checking it too every other day and great re Andersons too, hope they have put it up. I put some more posters up near Kent House train station (Beckenham Road end) and Barnmead Road, BR3 today (new posters with reward on it). Also handed out a few posters at the Bethlem this morning and gave some to South East London Dog Training? think that's the companies name.
Millys Mum
I don't want to fear the worse, but I can't help but worry about the nearby railway line. Sadly several dogs that have gone missing from BPP have lost their lives to the railway. Although the fencing looks secure, there are so many holes dug underneath by foxes and badgers plus children/teenagers have also gained access by breaking the fencing. I believe Network Rail have been sent a poster but they really do need a phone call. I know from others on DL who have contacted N/Rail that some of the 'operatives' are more helpful/caring than others and so they really do need regular calls (every 2/3 days) to let them know that Kiah is still missing. I would also suggest that you actually go onto the platforms of the nearest stations (say Ravensbourne, Beckenham Hill/Shortlands) and walk up to the front of the trains, speak to the drivers and ask them to keep a look out (I know that other missing dogs have been sighted/found this way). And also, ask them to pass the word around. I suspect that it's always the same group of drivers that travel that route and so would be familiar with the area. Finally, I was at our dog training class yesterday morning and I spoke about Kiah. Most people were already aware and keeping their eyes peeled for Kiah. Hoping this weekend brings about another sighting of Kiah so that we can focus on a particular area. The number for N/Rail is 0845 711 4141 (and make sure that you get a reference number and maybe a name).Last edited: 2015-08-09 13:06:31 by Millys Mum

Hi Debbie - I've been checking SDK's 'found dogs' every day in case they pick her up. Anderson's vets had a poster from me on 30th July so they will already be aware. The receptionist said they didn;t have a board for notices, but would stick it on the front door so I hope she did that

Thank you Dog Walking Bromley, much appreciated. I've reshared Kiah to Crystal Palace Local, Penge Tourist Board, Made in Penge Whites Pet Centre and tagged in several people and rescues/RSPCA and Downham Gossip, we need to keep sharing this girl with how long she's been missing now too

Iv'e shared on Twiiter & FB several times & have emailed the poster to Waggles Pet Shop, Chatterton Rd & West Wickham, I have also sent it to Anderson Vets Bromley Common & Bromley North, and Park Vets Petts Wood. Thanks Millys Mum I'll suggest this to Buddy as I don't have access to the poster, a new one is going out with REWARD on it, I did put up a poster on copers cope Road near goals, not done Southend lane at mo as been out of action for the past few days and great, I put one up on Worsley Bridge Road at the Kent cricket ground and one in the cricket club on foxgrove road. Ooops didn't think of Eden park vets I was driving about the other day just trying to get her posters further afield, but it was with big gaps due to double yellow lines etc, thanks to all for your help and thanks Sophie too, I was at BPP today for 2 hours and nothing, kept asking people also. I'll wait for new posters before I put any more up, she could come out late at night or very early hours in the morning 4-5am as it will be quiet and yes could still be hiding in BPP as it's a massive park, but she knows where the water is and dogs do go back to water so still baffled why no sightings in 12 days. Network rail are apparently rubbish - they don't always collect pick up deceased dogs along the lines only if they are blocking the lines or are nearer the train stations - thanks for all the tips I'll mention to buddy re update of poster xxx

Thanks skywalker99 we don't have £25 per hour for a tracker dog, nice thought but we won't go that way for now

So upsetting there has been no sightenings. I have been spreading word , people are constantly retweeting her on twitter. I drive aroubd area all the time and tell dog walking s I meet. I will head out tomorrow evening when it starts getting dark to see if she comes out. But I do worry someone may have took her in so posters are the key.
Millys Mum
I spoke to my neighbour and he is happy to put up 3 or 4 posters in and around the Foxgrove Club. Having run off a poster, personally I think it needs a bit more information i.e. that Kiah is chipped and a description of the collar (was she really not wearing an ID tag?!). Also when and where the last sighting was, etc. Also from past experience (I used to be the local co-ordinator), it's better to show the mobile phone number with spaces i.e. 07951 750 603 as easier to read especially if the call is urgent or the poster read at night. And finally, I might be wrong but did I notice in the posts that a reward was being offered? If so, this needs to be added to the poster. When I was a DL co-ordinator I used to 'tidy up' the Missing posters to make sure they looked clear but I don't have access anymore (only the person who registered the details and DL peeps are able to do this). I've only printed off one poster so far just in case the 'Other Info' area on the poster is updated (plenty of space to do so as a large blank area at the bottom of the poster).
jackie
change that have put it on poster some one must know where she is xx
jackie
thanks again sophie and all could you also add large reward to posters or logs about her , and can you put it on this doggiest poster as I cant the one above please x
WalkieswithAce
Forgot to mention that I added Kiah's details to animalsearchuk.co.uk and www.nationalpetregister.org. I keep looking every time I walk at BPP and when I'm driving around the area. I also walked on the other side of teh river on Sunday, into the Millwall training ground site - the brambles and undergrowth is so dense there it would be really hard to see how a dog could get into it.

Millys Mum
Debbie, sorry only just read your post. I will run off a couple of posters and ask my neighbour to put them up in the Foxgrove Club but don't think he'll be down there until Friday evening. I noticed the poster you put up at Eden Park Station when I was there today. Did you also ask Eden Park Vets (across the road from the station) as they are normally very obliging? Also, I was in BPP yesterday lunchtime, walking a work colleague's dog and kept my eyes peeled for Kiah. I walked from the lodge on the corner of Foxgrove Road & Southend Road, past the Mansion (Golf Club) up to the tennis courts and then back down again but sadly no sightings but my work colleague said that he was aware and had seen the posters and so word is getting round. I was also checking out the shrubs (mostly laurel, I think) but no sign. I do think that Kiah has remained in BPP as so extensive and with so many hidey holes. I work at the top of Copers Cope Road and so always check the roads when I'm driving to or from work. If you haven't put a poster up at the Southend Road end of C/C Road, I will put one up there. Also, I will take some along to my dog training class near Lower Sydenham station. You are certainly getting the posters up, helping to make Kiah the best known and hottest girl in town. It's likely that she's found access to food and water and just keeping a very low profile during the day and perhaps tending to venture out at night or during the early hours of the morning. I hate to mention this but have you checked with Network Rail just in case she's found the railway line? Keeping everything crossed this end that Kiah is found very soon.Last edited: 2015-08-04 23:59:44 by Millys Mum

Hi Millys mum, poster is up at BPP Golf Club, are you able to get a poster to this private club Foxgrove Club for us please or print one and your neighbour can ask them? There are posters up at Ravensbourne end of park, Westgate entrance, Downham entrance and Foxgrove vets have poster and are aware, trains stations covered are Ravensbourne, New Beckenham, Penge East (Sydenham End) Eden Park station, Birbeck tram stop, Eden Park station (some station posters are outside by entrance) as the Ravensbourne train station manager removed the poster so I went and put one back up the next day a bit further away from the station. Poster also up at Farnaby Road bus stop (near Ravensbourne entrance of BPP)
DogLostDebbie - Area Volunteer, South London
Posters near Eden Park station, posters up Maberley Playing fields (Bromley borough) (both entrances) and near Churchfields tip (BR3), Birbeck station, Graces pub, Beckenham Cricket Club on Foxgrove Road, Avenue Road Tram stop (poster up Blandford Road side), Croydon Road rec near Beckenham Beacon Hospital and on few bus stops near Lancers of Beckenham car centre all on Croydon Road, Beckenham, Elmers End one or two posters near South Norwood country Park (Elmers End side), Upper Elmers End 1 near shops (Sains Local) and one near Eden Park station - we are out postering every day but need to get further afield - 8-10 mile radius - so if anyone one here is near Grove Park, Shortlands, Bromley North that can help with posters that would be very helpful thank you - Debbie

Hi HughsterRooster, she was last sighted Saturday 25th July at the Downham end of BPP, near kids play area, ran off into the dense growth to the left of it by car park, scents have been put down for her in that part of the park. Some members of the family have gone back and checked home where Kiah lives. We just need sightings - none now since 25/7 :(
HughsterRooster
Where was she last sighted, and when? Have you looked around her actual home? Dogs do sometimes know how to find that.
We walked Beckenham Place Park and surround yesterday.
She must turn up somewhere.
jackie
thanks sophie you are a star , I don't think you or anyone can do anymore ,Im going to phone all the numbers I have for rspca battersea and all the others just to refresh their minds monday , I have postered footscray meadow , and mobile pet foods eltham I think its all down to chip reading , and why have we not heard , we can only rely on the goodness of people , if see anyone with a new dog . if they could catch her ,think would only be with someone if was trapped in their shed or some where or she would just run again , but all the dogs over the park , that go in the bushes can not understand why she has not been flushed out , , I just pray that she hasn't been run over and they have not bothered to check the chip , like someone was telling me about his cat xxxxx
Skywalker99
would a tracker dog be any use?
WalkieswithAce
I put my wellies on this afternoon and walked down the river, onto opposite bank, where the undergrowth is so dense it's hard to get through. I called, stopped, listened all the way along, right into Millwall's training ground. There's a lot of dumped rubbish and fox holes which I checked where i could, but they don't look big enough for a collie to go in (would a collie do that anyhow>? a terrier certainly would...). Very difficult to search all that waste ground effectively but I did what I could and have got some cracking bramble scratches to prove it. Not sure what else to do...
jackie
put posters further out catford, police and bus station , the curry ect shopping park and walked bonnie sending again ,so many people looking for her , will pay a reward to get her back , and will try and get another photo of her though think this is the most recent pic , just don't understand where she is xxLast edited: 2015-07-31 15:35:55 by jackie

Don't give up, we were delighted to find a missing dog in our area after a week on Tuesday. Worth printing off some business cards with her details on etc and leave in pubs, doctors and dentists too and to hand out to dog walkers. If it can be afforded might be worth offering a reward as well. XXXX
jackie
thanks for info on app will do that as have chip details now , walked the route with the other dog just as a week ago , but can not understand know sightings even if the worse has happened we should of heard by now thanks again every one xxxxx
Tracy
Its called my dog uk app Really hope your baby is found very soon. X
Tracy
Sorry I don't leave locally but did you know about the Petlog app? If you have a smartphone and Tyke is chipped there is an app that you can download that will send a message to every vet, kennels and dog warden in a 30 mile radius that a dog is missing, worth investigating!
jackie
thanks all still know sightings of kiah if anyone wants to help in a 10 mile radius , please down load poster and put in your car or where you live please , think she's moved so need to go further with the search and this is a good way , check all sheds and gardens anywhere x

Scent was left on Sunday in the last sighted area. The scent is a familiar scent but not the owner scent as they are away.

Sorry to see Kiah is still missing. It's worth printing out some business card size pieces of paper to give to people you see on your travels. I'm happy to make up this page and email out to whoever would like one (if it's not been done already). I don't check this site every five minutes so please email info@safedog.co.uk if you'd like me to do this.

I've done most of my walks in Beckenham Place Park this week so far so I can keep an eye out for Kiah and tell as many people as possible about her. I'll be going into Foxgrove vet tomorrow who cover the whole local area for emergencies and will get a poster put up on the board.
ellejay
I have been out most of morning, driving around area. I went into PAH in Bell Green and informed the cashier about Kiah. I have only seen poster on the railings of Peter Pan Park. I will try and get some printed off and just poster like mad. I have spread the word on my FB to people in area, and a few local delivery drivers are keeping an eye out. Hopefully she will be spotted soon as so many people out and about. Has an item of clothing with owners scent been left at the spot she went missing ?
jackie
thankyou so much everyone for helping me , i am out day and night she has to be somewhere , so stressed

Jackie is working hard to find Miah if anyone can spare an hour to help searching or with posters please call the number on the poster
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
Sighted again yesterday at 14:00 near car park by the gate in old Bromley rd. Miah is familiar with the car park as she is normally taken to park in the car. Second sightings at 14:00 14:30 so it seems she must ve a routine around that time maybe walkie time. Advised Jackie to try to be in the car park if it is possible from 13:00 to 15:30 but with her job I suppose it is not easy.Last edited: 2015-07-26 18:58:15 by Monica - Area Volunteer, South London

Such a worry as the roads in that area are so very busy. I presume (and hope) that Kiah's dog walker has put up missing posters as around 100+ posters are required for starters. It would also be very helpful is she would post a message on here as many, like me, don't 'do' Facebook. Hoping this poor, nervous girl is sighted/found very soon.
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
Ok this girl is from Bromley she was lost in Peter Pan park near homebase London catford she went into the river follow the bank as she could get out and came out at beckenham palace park on Thursday. Yesterday she was seen running in the Bromley road near tesco. People managed to get her off the roads into pavement and she turned into downham lane which would ve take her back to the park except if she kept running in side streets. Help on ground is required to put posters
BB451 Kent co-ordinator
I have spoken with Jackie. She is Kiah's dog walker and is the point of contact whilst Kiah's owners are away in America. Posters are going up. The right authorities have been notified.
If you see Kiah PLEASE DON'T CHASE HER just call the contact number and Jackie will attend. xx
Millys Mum
I'm really sorry to hear about Kiah. I do hope that, when she starts to feel brave and/or hungry that she plucks up the courage to surface from her hidey hole. Of course the heavy rain might mean she stays put for a while. I work close to one of the entrances to BPP and so will keep a lookout. Also my neighbour frequents the Foxgrove Club which I know that ellejay is also aware of. It is on the other side of BPP from where Kiah went missing but the private members club is very dog friendly and I'm sure that they would be happy to display a missing poster. Also, it's likely that their members may live near to where Kiah went missing. Also speak to the golfers who play at BPP and ask to leave a missing poster in the golf shop. Hoping that Kiah comes home very soon.Last edited: 2015-07-24 16:51:35 by Millys Mum

I will keep a look out, i have not seen any posters around :( If she is laying low or made her way to BBP, it would be a good idea to take something or hers or yours with your scent on and leave in park. Or take a throw away bbq and cook up some smelly meat to tempt her out if she is hiding in park. Poster Downham High street, get them on the lamposts by the lights at homebase, so people can see when they stop at lights.. hopefully she will be home soon xx
