Just to update Sophie was taken to the vets after she was caught and has been checked over. They are also running tests to make sure her condition hasn't worsened over the last two weeks without her special food .
At the moment she is snuggled up on her favourite chair and catching up on sleep and cuddles from her family who adore her.
Many many thanks to everyone who has helped in the search and with postering for Sophie.
Welcome home beautiful Sophie and PLEASE stay safe from now on xxx

Yeahhhhhhhh Sophie has been caught !!!! Just so happy !!! Some very
Sensible and wonderful people saw her in a garden in Gawber which is not far from yesterday's sighting in Wilthorpe and they shut her in the garden !!! Owners rushed over and got her. One very very very happy family and I am over the moon too !! Xx

Several of us have been out to the areas of the sightings in Wilthorpe and the track from Low Barugh but no sightings since roughly 4-4.30 pm .
From today's sightings you can see the area she lives iin the distance and I just wish she would strike out in that direction x

SIGHTED 10 minutes ago in LOW BARUGH along a track which starts near to the railway bridge on the opposite side of the road to the Millers Pub . If you see her PLEASE DO NOT pursue, shout or call out at her but contact her owner as soon as you can on 01226 384897 or 07718 645907

We have had a new but significant SIGHTING of Sophie which was made on THursday the 5th August at 3 pm. A man saw her walking down a path that leads to exactly the area of Cawthorne Road ( near the bridge over the beck) where she was sighted on Wednesday 29th July and some people tried to catch her.
With this new sighting I think Soohie may have an additiinal territory which may branch to the edges each side of Barugh Green across to HIgham in one direction and the outskirts of Darton in the other direction which is why we have days with no sightings . If anyone is able to help with posters please we need more in Barugh Green and surrounding areas out to HIgham x

Being sat in the field where I saw Sophie yesterday at the gate and the path were she went down.Three hours I was sat there.Adam and Lucy came and went down to look around again no sightings then me and mum went back down this afternoon with Sally my mums dog still no sightings.devastated!!I came home really upset .

BUMPING for a SIGHTING by owner !
Sophie's owner has gone to the area of yesterdays sighting and has just seen Sophie herself .
Her owner sat down/ laid down as soon as she saw Sophie and just said her name softly and squeezed her favourite squeaky toy. Sophie lingered but then moved off . Owner is going to heavily scent in this area to hopefully keep drawing her back here and leave some food. I have also advised her to stay quielty in this area rather than try to follow Sophie as woods are vast with a network of paths and ways and she can travel from one area to another very quickly as found out from Wednesdays sightings .
Her owner said Sophie is looking fit and well which is a big relief to her but there is still concern if she doesn't get her prescribed diet her health will deteriorate over a longer term .

Got a text this morning Sophie was spotted in Margery woods at High Hoyland at 3pm yesterday afternoon Man walking his dog said she was 5o yards from him when Sophie saw she just walked off Just going down to have a look in the woods again.Maybe being on my own could stand a better chance of getti9ng her don`t know hope so .

The area of yesterday's sightings has been walked again this morning and this afternoon but unfortunately no more sightings of Sophie and the food hadn't been eaten that was left where she was seen drinking yesterday.
Spoke to more people who were walking the area and most knew about Sophie but hadn't seen her . Also spoke to a very nice farmer whose land borders one of yesterday's sightings and they are going to keep a look out for Sophie.

Food has been left for Sophie in one of the spots she was sighted in this morning and her owner has also left scenting there.
Several of us have been back tonight but no more sightings of her.
She appears to be looking well at the moment which is a big relief

SIGHTED again just now in the same woods, once by the owners mother and twice by Doglost helper Graham . If anyone is going there to help please liase with and phone a local Doglost helper who is there now and who has very good local knowledge of the location on 07415 033538 ü They will in turn liase with the owner
PLEASE DO NOT CHASE or call out after her if you see her
Also to add some of the woods are private and caution and care needs to be taken

There has been a SIGHTING of Sophie in woods near KEXBROUGH . The lady who has seen her is waiting there to show Jackie exactly where she saw her. Doglost helpers Liana and Neil are on their way to help . This sighting is very promising ! Come on Sophie time to come home xxx

There was a possible sighting of Sophie yesterday at the co op, Mapplewell at 6pm. I went over to Cannon Hall Farm which is at the far side of Cawthorne this afternoon and gave a poster to display to the garden centre and the 'Maize'. The cafe in the park have also displayed one on the notice board outside the toilets . Up at Cannon Hall farm a very nice lady staff member took my poster and said she would photo copy it and display where she could. Also bumped into a local rescue who were already aware that Sophie was missing and are going to network her details locally and they also know the people from one of the farms which has lots of land bordering Kexbrough and said they would contact them. The whole area was very busy and I was able to show the poster to a lot of people and many of them took posters to display. One lady in particular works at the Claycliffe Industrial Park where we think Sophie was sighted on Wednesday and took posters away to display there .
Put a few more posters in Cawthorne village and one on the notice board in the social club and put one through the letterbox of the village store and tearooms . Then went to High Hoyland which is on the hills above Darton road with my last few posters and the pub there have displayed one in the notice board in their entrance .
By chance whilst I was in Cawthorne i spoke to the owner of a farm which is very near to where Sophie was seen on Wednesday. He was already aware of her having seen the posters and said he hasn't seen her but is looking out for her

I saw a dog matching sophies description in Mexborough yesterday around 1pm. It was walking around the site compound at the top of windhill crescent, when I tried to get It to come to me so I could read its collar (which was red) it ran away across the wasteland towards clayfield view. I've also been postering this afternoon and got a couple more up in Mapplewell village which is postered quite well now . I also did some on Spark Lane and some areas of Barugh Green. I think more need to go up in Barugh Green as one sighting of her was there. So I will get some more posters in the location of the sighting .Keeping everything crossed that the postering will bring in more sightings. Come on Sophie show us where you are .... It's time to come home xx

I been out putting posters out and about in Mapplewell ,Darton, and kexborough.One in the hair dressers in Darton,one in the sandwich shop.While I was in the sandwich shop the lady from the beauty salon opposite came and took one from me for her shop.One in the Rose and Crown one on a post near bus shelter opposite ..One opposite on a post near the White Bear could not gain access to White Bear.One in the small supermarket near the other bus shelter.Tried the little tea room at Cawthrone seemed no one was around. When I got home a lady rang and asked if there had been any sighting of Sophie She has been going round walking her dog in Cawthrone and Higham area.Said she was off out again walking her dog in Cawthrone and would keep looking for her .James and his friend went o kexborough ,nothing there Mum has gone on from the post office along towards darton and back again .The Old post office has a poster too

There was also a sighting of Sophie at around 9am today in the oaks farm area of Darton Lane / Sackup lane . This sighting indicates that Sophie is heading in the direction of home . Searching this area now

Further sightings this morning approx. 8am Redbrook 9.15am Darton Lane...Whilst owner was calling me her husband was speaking to Jumanji...so do correct me if I have misspelt the names..cant beat local knowledge!
