Poor boy, think he was abandoned - or escaped - as Mole Valley Dog Warden reported that he had no tattoo or microchip. A very sad end to a protracted effort to catch him. Run free at the bridge dear Bolt.

Sadly Bolt was hit by a car and killed in Effingham. The Dog Warden has his body and he was not chipped and no tattoo's. We are all heartbroken yet again. Run free Bolt xx

Mole Valley Dog Warden has been trying to catch this dog for weeks. There have been no sightings since Tuesday 18th August, but that sighting was between Beech Avenue, Effingham, and the back of the golf course. It may be roaming across to Polesden Lacey and Ranmore Common. Walked my dogs from Polesden this morning but I feel it was too hot for it to be out and about - probably safely hunkered down until it gets cooler. As it may have been responsible for a sheep killed on Polesden estate two weeks ago, we all need to look out so it can be caught as soon as possible - before the risk of it being shot for sheep worrying. The Dog Warden has named it "Bolt" because that's what it keeps doing!

I have only seen the dog once but i don't recall seeing white on the chest like the dog you're looking for Rlstokoe1. Someone who has seen the dog more often may be able to confirm that.

Emlou, i would say that this dog is a darker colour than your Pepper. I hope you find her soon.

Have there been any more sightings since last weekend? I look out for this dog each time i am in the area but not seen any sign of him her. Last edited: 2015-08-14 20:59:31 by Snowy

My dog pepper has now been missing from ash, Kent for 23 weeks now. She is a one year old bedlington whippet (lurcher). Generally she is a nervous dog and although lived in a pub wouldn't go to strangers easily. Her lost dog reference is 84073 . She also has her own Facebook page - lost pepper. Would be lovely if it was her.

Hi I'm part of a group who is looking for a male brindle greyhound that went missing from Cumbria almost 3 weeks ago. I know it's a long shot but could anyone who has seen this stray dog could check #findpony on facebook to see if it may be the dog we are looking for. Really appreciate any help. Thanks

I hope someone manages to catch the poor thing .

Just seen at 10.45pm going in and out of people's drives on yew tree road! Have put down a bowl of wet dog food on my drive on yew tree road, hoping it will eat it before any foxes do
Snowy
Just seen this dog walking down Ranmore common road then past the church before taking off at speed towards Denbies estate. Dog is thin but only visible injury was the tail which looked like it had fresh blood on it.

Met a couple of other walkers who had also seen the dog quite a bit over the past week. At least it seems he is sticking in the same area.

Could you put a smelly trail of say sardines smashed up in water in your road leading into your garden to try and entice it in. Hope it gets caught soon, thanks for what you are doing.

I live in Yew Tree Road (Dorking) it keeps coming up our road, seems to be doing a loop going over parts of Denbies, the ten acre field and then Yew Tree Road.
I have put food and water in my garden (as advised by the dog warden) as he said it needs to be contained in an area to try and catch it. I've also scattered food by the ten acre field.
I saw it three times yesterday, it will come up within about 3metres of you but then run off again. Half of its tail is missing and the injury at the end of the tail looks quite nasty.

Would it be worthwhile setting up a feeding station?

Seen again yesterday south of Denbie's Vineyard. Very frightened, very thin, visible wound on tail. Residents nearby say the dog warden has been unable to catch this dog.

The Mole Valley Dog Warden is working hard to help this lovely dog - could all sightings be reported to him via his facebook page although please do not chase this dog if sighted as extremely frightened and nervous. J. x
