Have just seen one suggestion which I feel is very good and really worthdoing and that is to print up some small leafletts and hand them out to the postmen. Postmen , (and I'm not being horrible, I think it's good for the neighbourhood) dont miss very much, and would normally know if there was a new dog on the block. Also put poster up at the sorting office. When we were searching for a dog in my area, the owner went to the sorting office and the bin men depot at about 5.00am in the morning and gave each and every postman and bin crew a small poster. By going at this time they managed to target every area as the men left the depots. They did get their dog back. Hope this helps. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you tried putting up posters next to pay and dispaly machines in car parks in area where last sighted? People from out of area will be using them as well as locals, so could be worth a try. Thinking of you xxxxxxxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jenny take a look at the blue pages today!!!! Another Poppy has been returned home. Posters did it again, which proves you must stay positive and never give up. A little Yorkie stolen from outside a shop, and now safely back home. Good luck Jenny we are working toward the same result for you. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jenny don't know if this site is any good to you. (Not sure if it includes NI) but it looks like it probably does. Looks very interesting. Probably worth a registration. www.lostyourpet.netLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just for the record, two adverts seen on the internet were passed to Sasha and Poppy's owners a few days ago regarding a female Lab. Unfortunately neither of the dogs turned out to be Sasha. There is still every reason to continue searching for these two and we are urging owners to stay positive. No news is sometimes good news, and both dogs are waiting to be found. Please let us do everything in our power to get these sweet dogs back where they belong. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Too far away to be of any help, but just wanted to let Jenny and family know I'm thinking of them. I know it's easier said than done, but please try to keep positive. Hope Poppy and Sasha are back home soon xxxxxxxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jenny, don't mind me saying, but you need to check each and every police station every day if you have to. Make a pest of yourself and ask to see any record books of dogs that have been picked up. And keep ringing the dog warden. If they get sent to a shelter we need to know which one quickly. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Could admin amend the poster and ID details as Jenny said Sasha IS Microchipped, which may help. ThanksLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have done a poster of 200 copies in the Glengormley area of Co Antrim where they have been sighted on lots of occasions however a terrier cross and a labrador were picked up separately at the end of las week so we are now not sure if the sightings were of them? I have put adds on radio and in local papers we have combed the area over the last two weeks night and day. Sasha is chipped and the breeder has been notified, Poppy has a collar and license. Both the children and ourselves are devastated please pleae help to find them. Sasha is a small fine very pretty year old lab, Poppy is brindle coloured with black ears and a fine border also. Jenny Cooke - Thanks everyone for all your support.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as picture is put on site and posters are emailed to helpers they need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, dog training clubs, petshops, schools, deliver to houses etc. Ask postie, milkmen and binmen to lookout. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Sash and Poppy. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
