A gorgeous dog who thankfully was none the worse for wear, I hope her owner too, and I agree that the person who bought her in good faith should be given a reward of some sort

this is really great, and a big thank you to the lady who gave the pup up, would it not be a nice thing to give a £1 or whatever each to repay this lovely lady the money she paid to these thugs and for her to get another pup, we needs owners like her

AMAZING NEWS!(WEST MIDLANDS POLICE STATEMENT) Puppy Mika has been found and returned home safe and well by our officers.

Following a call from a woman who suspected that she’d bought the stolen dog, investigating officer PC Charlotte Chamberlain collected the animal from a house in Selly Oak at 9am this morning.

The woman had bought the fawn-coloured pup in good faith around the time it was stolen on Thursday.

“She contacted officers as soon as she saw our appeal,” said PC Chamberlain.

“With us getting ever closer to finding those who stole it from her 12-year-old owner in Reddings Lane park, Tyseley, I’d urge those teens to come forward now before we knock on their door.”

The three and a half month-old pup was checked over by vets with her microchip confirming it was Mika who was none the worse for her five day adventure.

She has now been reunited with her owner.

Huge thanks to everyone who shared our appeal here on Facebook yesterday - you helped us reach more than half a million people. Amazing work!

Tweeting and sharing on FB.....I am sure the police will be involved with an assault on a child....they will want to protect the public baring in mind they could attempt such an offence again. Let's hope we can make Mika too hot to handle! xx

I totally agree with Rose, Ronmaxtye, janiejewel1649. The police need to deal with this as an assault on a child as well as dog theft, and I also hope that when these S...bags are found they are punished properly x

Ellie. Have just seen this post on Gumtree too. Apparently this lovely dog was stolen from their daughter aged 9. The thieves got away in a black Renault Clio. Please take a look on Gumtree

Have read about this dog on facebook..stolen with violence..three guys attacked girl walking it and forced the dog off her..escaped in a black renault car. Needs lots of publicity and fast. Owner is on facebook..shaheena nahar
