Alfie is home, very skinny and had sore armpits but apart from that he's okay. He was found in an old pig shed in tingley. Thanks to the very kind man who found him and took him to Yorkshire vets who scanned him and called me. Remember everyone have your dogs chipped and keep the details up to date cos you just never know what might happen. WELCOME HOME BABY BOY.

I've also had messages don't think it's Alfie but they are going to try to get a picture. More sightings of Alfie still in leeds 10 but even closer to home going to lay a scent track to home if the rain ever stops and see if he can find his way home. He got very close on Friday morning so fingers crossed everyone.

Area of sighting searched and focused scenting started. Feeding station started too.
The area of the sightings is extremely rural with plenty of places to shelter and hide.
Really hope for more news of Alfie today xxx

Thanks to Carol's vigilance and checking we scanned and reunited a different missing poodle with his owners last night. Bumping Alfie.

Carol
He ran off but we believe he is with somebody who will be using him to breed from. Alfie is on all the Facebook pages and social media sites internet etc. x
Claire Ellie's Mum
Shame it wasn't him . Had this one been stolen ? Have you thought about setting up a Facebook page for Alfie ? I am following several at the moment and they get a lot of support. Social media can be a real help in these situations . X
Carol
No I haven't found a bitch yet. I did go see a poodle for sale last night it wasn't Alfie but Louisa from dog lost came with me and she scanned it, it was missing from home and we reunited him with his owner, he had been gone for 2 weeks, hope someone does the same for me.
Claire Ellie's Mum
Have you had any luck finding a bitch in season ? I really really hope you get some news soon . If you were going to do an organised search I would come and help as I am not too far from you in Harrogate. X
Carol
K9tracker have advised to get a bitch that's in season to walk our area and see if Alfie is lured home, is there anybody that can help with this please ?Last edited: 2015-08-20 22:06:36 by Carol

Skywalker99
Doglost, isn't scenting advice part of basic advice??? carol - assume you are checking the selling sites to make sure some scumbag hasn't picked him up and is trying to prfit from yout lossLast edited: 2015-08-19 14:34:52 by Skywalker99
DogLostNina
Carol have you been told about the scenting method of trying to get your dog home. In basic terms it means collecting your wee and then in some kind sprinkler leave a trail back to tour front or back door. You can also do the same with clothing by cutting up into small pieces and leaving a trail
Carol
I'll try leaving one of my slippers as he likes to sleep with them. Thank you for sharing.
Skywalker99
If in a park have you tried leaving some of your dirty clothing/his bedding where last seen? Have xposted his details to Red alert/Lostbox, plus vets4pets leeds and a few other places
Carol
Hi, he ran off from a walk was seen for about 30 mins after running off and then nothing since.
Skywalker99
Was he stolen or did he run off during a walk?
Carol
Alfie is still missing, it has been almost 4 days now and there is no word of him still. Please please please keep sharing if you see aynbody who has recently acwuired a dog matching Alfies description please approach them, he is not castrated so we believe he may have been take for breeding. Any help at all is much appreciated we just want our little boy home.
Carol
Posters have been put all over leeds 10 /11, we have so far heard nothing, please keep sharing on Facebook etc and if you can please put posters up in your area we would really appreciate it. We are all devastated and the more people who know about this the better chance we have of getting him back. Thank you all so much for your help so far.

Telephoned to offer some help and advice.
His owner has all the contact details and has flagged him up as missing with all the relevant authorities.
Searching advice given too in case he is hiding up somewhere.
If found, he must be reported to the dog warden authorities, as is required by LAW.
He is Microchipped and has been flagged up as missing
Really hoping for news of him very soon
