- So sorry to read the sad update on this precious little one. Run young and pain free Debbie, hope you can feel the love those that didn't get to meet you sent your way. Thank you to those that showed you love & care in your last few days. Karma to those that are responsible for your suffering.

- So upset that poor Debbie didn't make it..The "filth" that reduced her to this condition fills me with hate for humans that think they have a right to treat animals so cruelly. .I'm so glad she was found and her last few days were spent surrounded by kind, caring people who showed her love and knew she was happier by the little wag of her tail..I am heartbroken, but know she's in a better place and free from any suffering..Run free with the sun and fresh air beautiful Debbie..RIP ♥xxxLast edited: 2015-08-23 10:12:27 by Jaycey

- This is so sad, poor little girl. So sad also for all the people that tried to help. One of my rescues was in a similar state when found, how some people can treat such beautiful dogs is beyond me. :'(

- I am so sorry little Debbie that you didn't make it. I am so glad that you had some caring love and warmth and kindness. I am so pleased you were able to wag your tail. You went to Rainbow bridge knowing that there are kind caring humans. Have fun at the bridge, no one can harm you now.....xx A big thank you to Debbie DW and others who tried everything for her...

- Heartbreaking. What a terrible life this lovely girl must have endured. I am so very sorry, but happy in the knowledge that she had love and affection at the end. Run free at the bridge beautiful Debbie, where my four springers will be waiting for you. No more pain xxxx

- Whatever is wrong with some people, they look like us and sound like us but they aren't like us at all. Poor poor girl, so very sad RIP Debbie x

- I am so sorry to read this very sad news.....there are some evil people out there .So happy that Debbie had love at the end.Run Free at the Bridge Beautiful Girl...... ....thank you for trying to save her xxxx
- 2015-08-21 20:22 debbi
- Chewitt you are so right! We got a waggy tail. I have already put feelers out about the area she was found. She may not have had the life she deserved but in her last few days she had food, water, deep blankets and plenty of kindness and gentle handling. She was not alone at the end.
- 2015-08-21 20:12 Unknown
- I understand you all wanting to give her a name, so Debbie it is. I should tell you that Debbie was my DW for 20 years both as a resident and a councillor and that no-one fights harder than Debbie to do what's right.Last edited: 2015-08-21 20:14:43

- Thank you all for your kind words. It was not the outcome me or the kennel staff wanted or hoped for but it was necessary to stop her suffering any longer. There was more going on with her, it wasnt just a case of feeding her up. If any more information comes to light about where she came from it will be followed up. We can call her Debbie, i am flattered!
- 2015-08-21 20:01 Chewitt1969
- I think we have to focus on her wagging her tail when rescued and having some fuss and affection otherwise we'll drive ourselves to distraction. However, happy to do whatever to try catch the scum.
- 2015-08-21 19:57 Hollieberry
- This poor girl I really thought she would go on to getting a better life but the saddest thing of all is I am sure other dogs are leading the life that she lived, in the hell hole where she came from .
- 2015-08-21 19:50 3labs
- That's a lovely name. Unbelievably shocking that someone could do this in the first place and then get away with it. Just awful, I can't stop thinking about this lovely girl and how much she must have suffered, heartbreaking x
- 2015-08-21 19:45 Chewitt1969
- Esther you read my mind about Debbie as a name. Well done and thank you to those who helped her to peace.
- 2015-08-21 19:41 Esther
- Debbie What can I say. Thank you and every one who gave her care. I am so so sorry she never had the chance to have a loving home. Why do these scum always seem to get away with this abuse and I know it is hard to have proper evidence, but they always seem to escape. I agree Chewitt, she should have a name if she hasn't been given one. How about calling her Debbie.
- 2015-08-21 19:21 Chewitt1969
- Absolutely devastated. Hugging my Springer tight as I type. Poor poor girl. Christ I hate people sometimes. Sorry to be so vocal but to treat a living being like this?! Can we please give her a name? Xxx
- 2015-08-21 18:40 debbi
- 3labs, it will be difficult. She was dumped in the middle of a road and left. So even if there were suspicions as to who put her there, and as she couldnt walk she certainly didnt get there by herself, getting evidence to prove it will be nigh on impossible
- 2015-08-21 18:28 3labs
- Bless her little heart, so terribly sad but so glad she had love and care at the end of her life. Is anything going to be done to try and find the despicable creature that did this to her? I would be very happy to share anything on Facebook far and wide x

- Poor girl , i am so very sad to read this .... but pleased she had love at the end . Run free sweet girl , free from all the pain xxx
- 2015-08-21 16:43 Springles
- Oh my god this is heartbreaking, what kind of a person can treat a dog like this? Words fail me, rest in peace baby girl.x
- 2015-08-21 16:33 debbi
- Nik, we have extensive pictures and vet is keeping her for a couple of weeks. I am so angry. Much more going on with this dog than put up on site as it would be too distressing for some to read. 10.04kg is less than half of her proper weight. Vet said she had never seen a dog so thin still alive. But she had care and human contact at the end albeit for such a short time and thats some comfort.
- 2015-08-21 16:16 Viv B
- I am so sorry to hear this, poor little love. Much thanks to the lady who found her and took her to the vet, and to Debbi, dog warden, for caring for her. At least she had kind people around her at the end. Such a shame.
- 2015-08-21 16:15 Unknown
- Debbi, this is so very sad. I know you will have done your very best. The location makes me a bit suspicious. Let me know if there's anything we should know.
- 2015-08-21 16:07 debbi
- Hello All, i am sorry to have to tell you that this little girl did not make it. She was just too far gone to be able to be saved and on the vet's recommendation she was put to sleep this afternoon. Thank you for your support and offers of help. Run free little lady x
- 2015-08-21 14:14 Teddys Mum - Area Volunteer, West London
- Oh god love her. How anyone can do this to a trusting dog leaves me speechless.I do hope she survives this and goes on to find a loving home where she can be a normal happy dog well cared for and much loved. Sending her healing. Karma comes to mind to whoever has done this to her.
- 2015-08-21 10:46 Esther
- We will have our fingers and paws crossed for this afternoon.
- 2015-08-21 10:17 debbi
- morning all. she is going to the vet this afternoon for a full examination so i will update after that. she is eating but still not standing. I have been lucky enough to get rescue back up for her for when/if she is able to go.
thank you to everyone who has offered donations, we are a council and as such have a duty of care for the animals when they are with us, so we will cover her fees.....but I am sure the rescue would be grateful for any donations when she is with them as she will require ongoing care which will be a drain on their funds. But, i will know more after she has seen the vet later. Thanks for all your good wishes and offers. - 2015-08-21 08:43 JulieH
- Hope she is okay this morning x

- 2015-08-20 19:45 Springles
- Debbi just wondered how she has been today, has she managed to stand up yet? Can't stop thinking about this beautiful girl, the scumbags that have done this to her should rot in hell!

- Debbi, I asked about breed specific rescue - yes i do know one Spaniel Aid UK, I am a founder. We deal with springers, cockers, and sprockers. I would be more than happy to talk to you to tell you about us. We have a website and Facebook page, please have a look. How can I get in touch?
- 2015-08-19 22:39 ClaireC
- Poor little girl. Failed so miserably by humans for sheer greed! I along with all the others know she is in good hands. Keep going little lady as life will not be as you have known it!xx
- 2015-08-19 22:18 debbi
- Yes she was very distressed apparently. I am going to ring her tomorrow to let her know she is ok
- 2015-08-19 22:16 Hollieberry
- Thank you Debbi its good to know that there is a lot of good people around .x
- 2015-08-19 22:12 debbi
- I dont mind at all hollieberry, a lady member of the public found her and took her to a local vet yesterday. They kindly started her treatment and kept her overnight. They called me today to collect her.
- 2015-08-19 22:05 Hollieberry
- Do you mind if I ask Debbi, was it a member of public who found this poor dog and brought her to your attention ?
- 2015-08-19 21:47 debbi
- Esther, i know how many DL people will worry when they see her pictures and read about her. Its courtesy to reassure she is safe and being treated, there's nothing worse than not getting answers to questions. Hopefully i will have more info on friday.
- 2015-08-19 21:37 Esther
- debbi you are a star. Here you are, nearly 9 30, your job is a dog warden and you are still on here keeping us informed about this sad little soul
- 2015-08-19 21:34 debbi
- Alice, breed specific would be great as then she would go to knowledgable people. Do you know one? I usually go through KC but am always willing to approach recommended rescue. I just want to get her vet checked so we know what we are dealing with but am happy to start the ball rolling for her future......doubt she will be claimed.
- 2015-08-19 21:26 Lin Iddon
- Debbi do you need a breed specific rescue for her?
- 2015-08-19 21:17 debbi
- Chewitt, now she is with me she will remain safe. She cant stand so has to be carried and supported to go to the toilet, so its going to be a while. Our vet is fabulous and helps us so much so i am very lucky. Little lady is holding in there so that is good. I will update on friday after she has seen our vet.
- 2015-08-19 21:10 Chewitt1969
- Fab!! Thank you. I'd take her like a shot but she needs proper care as you say and I'm not skilled enough. She's in safe hands which is heartening so praying for her recovery xxx
- 2015-08-19 21:04 debbi
- Chewitt, i will keep you all informed of her progress. You are right, it will take considerable time for her to heal properly. She will get everything she needs
and will stay with me until she is well enough to go to rescue. There is no time limit as her welfare is the most important. But, if money ever becomes an issue i will let you all know. Thank you for your kind offer of support. She is safe now and i will ensure, if all goes well, she gets the life she deserves. - 2015-08-19 20:44 Chewitt1969
- She will need lots of care to heal her non-visible scars. Let's hope money isn't a deterrent to this. If it is let us know so we can ensure she's given that crucial second chance. Keep wagging that tail gal xxx
- 2015-08-19 20:42 debbi
- Sall10, thankyou for your kind offer. She is seeing our vet on friday. She is in council care and we will pay for her treatment. The vet we use is very good to us with regards costs. The vet who had her yesterday kindly treated her for free, so at the moment cost is not a problem, but thank you.
- 2015-08-19 20:15 Esther
- Let us all hope that as she is eating a bit that she will pull through, perhaps you will have a better idea tomorrow. This is just so heart breaking. What also concerns me is are there other dogs that are being kept by this ( here words are failing me ) individual. Thank you debbi, the kennel girls, the vets and who ever drew your attention to her.
- 2015-08-19 19:46 Sall10
- Is there a telephone number for the kennels please ... I would like to donate some money for this poor girls treatment. I hope she pulls through, she needs to be so loved and cared for. Bless you little one, sending you all my prayers xxx
- 2015-08-19 19:23 Hollieberry
- This poor dog has every reason to hate humans yet she tried to wag her tail. I do believe that some dogs know that you are helping them .I hope she feels a lot better in a few days x
- 2015-08-19 19:05 debbi
- Rose she cannot walk so hasnt strayed but been put there. Sian, tx, i did put ESS originally but shes quite small so changed it to WSS! I will change the description
- 2015-08-19 18:39 Rose
- OMG this is awful. Hope she pulls through and gets a forever loving home. Does anyone have idea where she may have come from, surely she couldnt have travelled that far in that condition. Yes she def looks a springer x
- 2015-08-19 18:13 Sian
- Bless her wishing her well little tail wag encouraging. If she is liver and white def not Welsh but English Springer hope one of the Springer rescues can take.
- 2015-08-19 17:50 debbi
- Me too esther. She is in complete shut down, she cannot hold herself up.....but i got a small tail wag this afternoon! She will get the treatment she needs and is getting care and attention from the kennel girls. She is warm, on comfy blankets and is being fed ..... lets hope she can pull through.
- 2015-08-19 17:35 Esther
- Thank you Debbi. I so hope the future is good for her.
- 2015-08-19 17:11 debbi
- Yes she has seen a vet who kindly gave her an antibiotic injection and advocate for her flea infestation. She is booked in to see our vet on friday for a continued treatment programme.
