- A huge thanks to everyone who helped with the search for Franklin - whether it was physically searching, sharing online, or spreading the word in the local area, every part of it was a huge help. Getting him back today was entirely dependent on us being in the right area for our search event today - were it not for people sharing these posts online, the sighting we got last night would not have happened, as it was a long way away from where we had been, and would have continued to search. So please everyone always remember to share these posts far and wide - even if you live a long way from the missing dog someone in your friends and family may live or know someone who lives in that area. Finally a huge thanks to all at Doglost who do an amazing job always - Phil (SausageDogHotel)

- My dog was lost after running from a dog sitter. She was timid and running from everyone including me. I was advised by a behaviourist that the dog is likely to stay in a limited area working out from a central point to find a place it recognises. It is likely to only recognise the owner by scent. I caught my dog after four days with the aid of a search party who were instructed to locate but not approach the dog. I was then able to get in a position upwind of the dog armed with smelly tripe. I sat with my back to her and once she knew it was me by scent she came to me. I hope this helps you to catch Franklin.

- Hi everyone - since we think Franklin is possibly staying in one area now, and it's a bit further out in the countryside/farmland, and with no sighting yet today, I want to look into the possibility of using tracker dogs - I know of a few, but if anyone knows others, or has any experience of working with a particular person/company that do this, especially one not too far from Herts, please post or message me. Would like to have several to call around as the good ones are in high demand. Thanks.

- Update: There have been many sightings throughout the day, and his owners have been extremely close on one occasion, but he still bolted, and seems to still be moving at high speed. He seems to have done a full circle around from Offley place, down the trail/fields over to the other side on Offley Hill, back up to the crossroads of High St/Luton Road/School lane, and worked his way all the way down School Lane over the 505 to West End Farm and a bit beyond. He should be getting tired now so hopefully on the next sighting we will be able to get closer to him - please call with any sightings and I will be there within a few minutes - Many thanks to all those who have helped with the search so far - it is very much appreciated...
