Hi, I've had a few days away and I see Freddies Posters are still up around the village. I'll take any down I see as someone asked me this morning if he was still missing.
bark1066
Hi guessing he's followed along the railway path which goes past Waverley towards olive grove//high hazels golf course..

Was certainly beginning to think we won't see him again,so relieved to get him back.

Hi Julie
Bad news on the spaniel that was missing, found dead on railway I'm afraid.

Still no sign of Freddie though.wont give up on him.
JulieH
Took some jumble to Thornberry this afternoon and pleased to report Freddies' poster in prime position !
bark1066
Happy to pay for his safe return, what ever it takes to get him back.

Similar dog found in Hoyland, now with Barnsley dog warden, unfortunately not Freddie.

No news on the one apparently for sale in woodhouse yet.fingers crossed on this one.
JulieH
Firstly good news about Brandy I think his name is (number 91279). You are doing all you can and more to find Freddie. It's a shame you have to offer a reward but some just see it as an oppotunity.Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Will let you know if I hear or see anything!Outside Costcutters is a good place to put a poster!Last edited: 2015-09-02 17:41:28 by JulieH

We think most likely he will have gone onto waverley or Orgreave/handsworth possibly over the old bridge to Orgreave hall.
But dont have any solid reason other than was told he was heading up that way.which also means he could have gone through the fence onto railway,in which case he could end up back in woodhouse quite easily.

We have posters up in all the surrounding villages inc of handsworth, waverley woodhouse, woodhouse mill, treeton, catcliffe & swallownest.

We are putting new ones up Offering £500 for his safe return, this also on facebook.

On a positive note a german shepard which went missing around the same time has been found not sure 100% but believe to have been on the railway.

Have had an alert that someone in woodhouse is trying to sell a staffy, aparantley young guy has been asking in village if anyone wants to buy one.

Trying to get more info on this.Poster up in village next to costcutter with £500 reward offer on.would think if its freddie thy would be here in flash.Fingers crossed.
JulieH
Only wish I could bring you some news, have you tried Rain Rescue ? Do you think he may have gone over bridge towards Treeton? I haven't been that far so not sure if you have posters up there.I keep checking Gumtree etc to see if he comes up.
bark1066
Thank You Julie your support is much appreciated.
JulieH
Okay thanks, I walk my two in that area so I'll keep looking, hope for news soon !
bark1066

bark1066
hi julie

No reason to say the dog in swallownest is freddie,we have not heard anything since, allthough we keep scouring the area.

Been round swallownest handsworth & catcliffe tonight no positive feedabck from anyone im afraid.

JulieH
Hi , I'll go on Woodhouse Washlands today, just in case he is making his way back from the Swallownest area .Hope for good news today !
bark1066
Hi

Just to update have just searched the hedgerow from coalbrrok estate to old orgreave bridge the other side of the fence you mention julie unfortunately no signs of anything.
bark1066
Hi julie

Possible sighting in swallownest someone had seen a staffy of similar appearance in garden in swallownest we reacted and went looking straight away, only to find it had been 1.5hrs earlier, searched area but no sign of the dog.keep driving round area asking people and have put flyers up.

The fence on the waverley backs on to the railway have searched around the ind estate perhaps should go around the ind units asking, will plan to do this tuesday (im working 12 shifts fri sat sun)plus bank holiday monday.

we are getting around as much of local area as much as possible in surrounding villages and putting more flyers out as we go.

Have contacted all vets in area today.

We know someone at the Riding school so can/will try that avenue.

Once again thank you all for the support you are giving, it helps to keep us positive knowing the support we are getting Thank you.
JulieH
Just been along path that backs onto industrial estate, lots of gaps in fence that he could get through.Have you been able to speak to lorry drivers that are onsite ? Also may be worth contacting Smallage Riding School as they ride through Treeton woods.

JulieH
I didn't see anything ,but, on a positive note, the two dog walkers i spoke to were aware of Freddy and were actively looking for him too.The posters are working ! Have you tried Thornberry Animal Sanctuary at Dinnington?,and it may be worth speaking to Dot at the boarding kennels at Woodhouse Mill .
JulieH
