Just rang owner and as you can imagine she is devastated. I've explained that I'm going to get contact lists made up this weekend and get posters sent out. I'm also playing phone tennis with the man at Manchester Evening News at the moment but hopefully this will be resolved asap. As much help needed as possible please - don't forget summer fair's, dog shows, tatton show is coming up soon so the more pair of eyes we have looking out the greater our chances of finding them. hi nixon here yes the dogs were definatlely stolen padlock of and leads taken , we had flyers ped in 2 days prior from a tree felling company, made up unit number but the address was that of a gypsy site in wigan, my husband went down to the site and got blocked in , there was barking from a locked trailer but couldnt get to it the police were called ,said it wasnt a priorty and when they turned up 4 hours later the dogs had been moved ,,,, it is so frustrating that some people can do anything they please with no consequences !!!!!!!!!!!!not given up hope !!!!!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'll try and get to Bolton this weekend with posters. Can someone let me know which particular area of Bolton? I'll fire off emails too - I've got a lurcher and it's a breed very close to my heart so I'll crack on this weekend and the same for the other two doggies that are with Monty. Do we know if they have escaped or has it been confirmed that they have been stolen? If stolen chances are all three may still be together? I'll check adverts too in case they are trying to sell - hopefully not Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How awful for the owner and the dogs. So close. These people need sorting bigtime. I do hope the owner gets these dogs back ASAP although probably not without some assistance. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

These dogs are likely to be with the travelling fraternity as owner visited site in Leigh/Wigan Friday and unseen dogs in van howled at him but he had to leave under pressure & van gone by the time police visited. If anyone knows the other sites in area I'm sure owner would like to hear about them.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as picture is put on site and posters are emailed to helpers they need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, dog training clubs, petshops, schools, deliver to houses etc. Ask postie, milkmen and binmen to lookout. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Monty.
