Meg never did come home. Im sorry for my long absence, but am now back and will be as committed as I ever was to dogs in my area. Meg and Sniper LL14 still haunt me after all these years.

I do not have a good feeling about Meg. her poster is still up in work and Dog club. Her housemate returned, at midnight the same night but not her. There have been several heavy frosts since her disappearance. The local farmer is notorious for shooting dogs who stray onto his land regardless of whether there are sheep. Shame he wasnt as fussy about mending his fences to stop sheep getting onto the dog walking area-but there you go. I rang all the local dog wardens and rescues on numerous occasions. she has been seen by nobody. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

spoke to owners husband. the dog at ruabon playing field was apparently not meg. have advised him to visit local rescues in person as they are all really busy and unsure of who they have in. just seen jostennings message. posters in the car aare a great attention grabber in areas like this where people drive then park in big car parks. lamp posts can get overlooked when you are a driver.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Here is the latest news: I received a call today from someone who had seen a dog in Plas Bennion at approx. 3.30 pm. I immediately went up there to have a look. Walked for about 45 mins but no joy. Contacted the gentleman who called, and he said he would come down and show me where he'd seen the dog. We both searched for a further 45 mins. but again, no joy. Felt disappointed at this stage, and decided to go home. 5 mins later I received a call from the same guy, who was walking towards the bungalow that is for sale in Plas Bennion, who said that he had seen a dog running from the property. To cut a long story short, there is a dairy building next to the bungalow, where there have been workmen for the last two weeks, and it turns out that they have probably been feeding the dog with scraps for the last two weeks, whether it is Meg or not I don't know, but at least it is a potential sighting, and would explain a lot about the last two weeks..........Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

My mum thinks she may have seen Meg in Penyae last Thursday, but apart from the Plas bennion one, trail appears cold. Local authority do not appear to keep lists of RTA deaths, though my dad who works for highways is asking at the depot. He suggests checking the Wrexham website, which I am struggling to do coz my computer is so slow. Meg is also reported missing with Flintshire, shropshire and Denbighshire dog wardens.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Looking for Jamie
We put an advert in the Wrexham Leader to try and find Jamie, someone who saw the advert told us where Jamie was. The paper wants to run a story about us being reunited with Jamie thanks, we have told them about doglost.co.uk, I was going to get them to include Meg in the story. are there any details you want me to include?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

More posters of Meg put up last night, In and around Stryt Las Lake, down towards Somerfield and on lamposts and bus stops, also in the chip shop and spoke to a few dog walkers who said they would keep an eye out for Meg. The sighting sounds promising - keeping everythign crossed!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hooray, sounds hopeful. Will take a drive down in the morning. Dont know if i can get back online so please ring for local help. Had an idea. Ring the boarding kennels. They are called Glenwyn, and used to do rescue before changing hands. Someone may have taken her there this evening but the dog warden wont be contactable til tomorrow so they may have her overnight?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as picture is put on site and posters are emailed to helpers they need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, dog training clubs, petshops, schools, deliver to houses etc. Ask postie, milkmen and binmen to lookout. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Meg.
