- Chip number was to breeder and they have contacted owner. reunited one very happy dog and tearful owner. It was obvious it was correct owner as dog recognised them. Just hope now that they update chip details.
Shame not listed as missing on here or could have alerted them as to where she was
Great work by Lindsay and husband-.your hard work and devotion to keeping dog safe in one place and finally caught paid off!!
WELL DONE TO YOU BOTH!! - 2015-09-07 14:37 digbysmum

- hi there, yes indeed , this lovely sweetfaced dog was left with vet today and after the chip search provided no usable connection to the listed latest owner, they are keeping the dog safe and fed and cared for today and arranging for dog warden to collect this evening. The vets are the same ones we use for our own 3 pets and are extremely gentle and caring. I have left instructions that dog warden must get in touch again with us if no owner comes forward, so whatever happens there will be a happy ending for this poor girl ( as indeed she turned out to be female) thanks for all the advice, support and encouragement. Keep up the excellent work. xxx TO ALL.

- Fantastic news. This girlie has now been caught by Lindsays husband. She is currently at vet and there is a chip present but some confusion over the dog. For the time being she is safe. I am sure Lindsay will update later. Left message in CJ fone and trying to get hold of RayDto stop travelling. Thank you all but especially to Lindsay and her husband. Well done xx

- hi again, we continue to feed this dog in the safe field area but today the dog followed my husband back out on to the Sheepcote lane road, where we are very concerned about fast moving traffic and dirt bike riders. Got the dog to follow husband back into field again, but worried as to how to take this rescue to the next level. A lovely gentle dog, never barks or snarls, just very wary.

- Great work with feeding- have emailed update direct re trapping etc and when being done as now have 2 expereinced helpers on hand to assist and trap.
Also if waiting turn your back to the dog- and sit down so not facing or being a threat always avert eye contact. You could see if taking interest and getting closer by using a mirror > - 2015-09-03 15:28 #FindAmberTheGingerCat
- thanks all of you providing encouragement and support, much appreciated. The dog has returned several times to the food bowl today , and watches us from a distance, approaching the bowl quickly as soon as we retreat. I shall keep updating so you know how things are going. Thanks for your offer RONMAXTY and I'll try the sitting down and waiting suggestion ,Debbie. Thank you.

- Good luck with this dog, I wouldn't approach at all, just sit down and wait, cry, etc he/she may come closer this way too, nice smelly food, lamb etc - great idea with the feeding station and you're obviously getting good advice - hope you get this furbaby
- 2015-09-03 12:10 JulieH
- That's great to hear , fingers crossed for more progress x

- dog has returned to feeding station for lunch.Hoorah! Dog actually came out of hiding as I was approaching the bowl , but then ran off as I got closer to where it was standing. Happy that it did come out to watch what was happening and definitely knows that food will be put out in this area.

- Photo cropped enlarged - Agree this is so like to the other found GSD - I just think younger than 8 years which Keira was and defiantly longer haired.Hoping we can find out if male or female by observations ( scent marking like males - squat like females) Feeding station established and great he/she came back after not returning for a day.Need to get trust so will return then bait trap with same food.
- 2015-09-03 08:41 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator

- Hi Lindsey our professional trapper will contact you direct
- 2015-09-02 17:09 ClaireC
- I will see if i can get some professional help in trapping this dog esoecially as it has an injury. In the interim can you continue to keep feeding this dog in same place and at a regular time of day which would be really helpful. Last edited: 2015-09-02 17:11:56 by ClaireC

- just called the Snowy phone number and the gentleman said that Snowy is more of a husky and not really a German Shepherd. They will take a look at the photo here though and let us know,in case I have got my dog breeds wrong.

I have not heard back from Snowy owner, but will post on there now to direct to the photo here as the photo was not on previously. Hopefully the photo will help decide whether this is Snowy or not

- good morning, food left out last night has been eaten. No sign yet of the dog this morning. As soon as it turns up we will take and post photo. Not sure if dog is long haired or short haired , but my daughter may be able to tell. This one definitely has a collar, dark collar , and hair missing from a patch on its back. Looked great when dry last week, not like a stray at that stage, like a white wolf . Then after the rain it looks different as it has got wet . At least it seems to be off the roads currently and is getting fed. Will post again if it returns later today.

- Please can you confirm if this is a long haired or short haired GSD? If close enough to observe please state if ever see it marking as in a male or squatting as in female. this will help narrow down the searches of white GSD. If the same as the one we have added a similar photo. It would be some distance to travel if was same dog as would have to cross some very busy roads-. The sighted dog 91426 has no sores coat in good condition and not wearing any collar. I do think we may have 2 dogs here. If feeding station set up would suggest baiting a trap now ( we have some can loan especially if set up n private gardens).

- Rang Bromley dog warden and they came to see but unfortunately this was in very heavy rain and dog was no where to see. Advised local farmer and farmers yard workers and we will aim to befriend dog to draw it to a shed.Dog not at all aggressive, just frightened. Will also try to get close enough for a good pic to post , to send to ID 91426.This dog also has a dark collar like 91426.

- Probably same dog as found sighted only ID91426.
