The following is part of a long post by Thomas' ecstatic owner on his Facebook page
' Thomas is home
at 9.45 pm last night exactly 8 days after he was stolen my baby was on the back step knocking on the cat flap and crying to come in. Whoever had him, brought him back to the street, I heard car doors slam and drive off just minuets before,
He smelt of perfume - his coat and paws were clean - his claws still sharp - he was not hungry or thirsty, who ever had him for the last 8 days has looked after him, for this I am so thankful.'

Try contacting Rain Rescue (mainly dog rescue) who put missing pets incl cats in Sheffield area on their Facebook page. It seems to be read a lot and will help raise awareness

I know Thomas has been stolen but try this; put something with his scent on, and leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, along with something with your scent on too. Wipe his scent on ALL garden fences too, as well as lamposts leading up to the house. He has not doubt been sold on I would think. Pleased he is being made "TOO HOT HANDLE" by Facebook. But I would put "Lost" posters through doors too, and ask around. You never know Thomas may find his won way home if he is about. Paws xd.
