Just checked with owner, the collie found at Llandovery was not Red and has now been claimed and gone home. Well spotted though, doglover 123.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have just had a phone call from BC who is en route to Border Collie Rescue in Reading - she arranged to pick up a collie who had done his time in Ammanford pound en route, and has discovered he is a fairly long coated red and white. I have called Red's owner who is about to ring BC so that they can check for a possible match.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Everyone will soon be seeing mikkas title changing from "Mikka Pet Detective Award" to Area Co-ordinator Wales.I feel very privileged to have jenni on my team, I know she is not based in Wales, but she has kindly agreed to help me, and I?m sure we will be getting a lot more of the welsh dogs back home, with jenni on board!!!! So anyone with lost dogs in wales feel free to contact BC or Mikka, thanks Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No picture available for Red, the owner is convinced that the farm above him has the dog, the chap keeps stopping and asking if hes found him yet, thinks its quite funny???? The dog ofter goes to this farm as he keeps breeding bitches, but he is reluctant to give me his name, but he dosnt have a picture of red, he is a farm dog, rather than a petLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Red has disappeared many times and usually goes to the next farm up where they border collie breeding bitches, he has retrieved the dog from there many times, the farmer there says he hasnt got the dog, but the owner is not so sure, i asked his name, in case we knew of him, but the owner was not prepared to give me that information??? He also had a kelpie stolen from the farm some years ago.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Very rural area, this. Posters to farm stores, village shops, filling stations. Radio Ceredigion would be best bet here. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as picture is put on site and posters are emailed to helpers they need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, dog training clubs, petshops, schools, deliver to houses etc. Ask postie, milkmen and binmen to lookout. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Red.
