It seems owner was selling pups on internet and then another ad appeared also selling Mercedes by someone else. Very confusing, but without owner telling us exactly what the situation is, we can only make assumptions and can't assist further. We have police liaison officers at the ready to help. Very sad we have no further communication.
Rose
Hopefully she has been found and owner forgot to tell us?

Owner has not responded since we requested police details, sadly. We are here, waiting to help. (Thank you CJ).

The ad can still be viewed but i do not think same dog. ad states born june 4th ready to rehome July 30th I have for sale adorable puppy ready to go. Their mother is a full pedigree Alaskan malamute from champion lines and her father is a Rottweiler cross dogue de Bordeaux. The one for sale has white paws Mercedes does not.
I have kept screen shot and details of add and using map the location. However you state thought to be in southend on sea- what reason is this ?

If you want the ad details email investigations@doglost.co.uk heading re MERCEDES

Jessicam why don't you email us with the CRN number from police, as then we can really swing into action for you? Time is of the essence it seems, so help us to help you. x
Jessica
Hi I have emailed my vets they have sent out a email to all their branches and they are trying to check their database for her and am awaiting an email back, I have also placed her on animal search website hoping she has been seen, was just wondering if anybody had seen her about or had any information on her as time ha passed now and extremely worried about her :(
Jaycey
Have the Police come back with a crime reference yet?...They need to start investigating this quickly before Mercedes is moved on !!

Sorry Jessica, I havent any info, was trying to find the ad so that I could dig a little deeper -
its offline (was only published for 33mins) so its the cache version. Surely Gumtree can assist in identifying the 'seller' and gather more info for the authorities? Im hoping she'll post something else so that folk can gather more details from her x
Jessica
Yes that's Mercedes, is the ad still up as I can't find it? Do you have any information about her or the ad at all?

Jessica, go to the police NOW! I am emailing you as well.
Jaycey
Jessica..You must contact the Police with the details you have..They will give you a crime reference number..If you got the phone number off the advert they may be able to trace the address...Did you contact the person on the advert? x
Jessica
Hi just wondering if anybody has seen Mercedes today?
Skywalker99
You need the police involved as soon as. Possible
Jessica
We don't know the person, but we know where she is as the person tried to sell her on a website, she put her name on there as cathy and that she lived in Southend, unfortuantly we have no other details at the moment and the ad was very quickly removed, we have notified vets, other websites like this, the RSPCA and asked people in the area if they have seen her but nothing yet, I'm so worried about her and want to know she is ok and get her home safe. :(
Jaycey
Was she stolen by someone known to her owner??

Admin
Sorry to see that MERCEDES is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (91679)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
