This little fella has been dumped in Ireland, some of the comments believe it may be travellers who dumped him

The kennels at Screveton has now been cleared of any blame. We have visited this morning and MOUSE has not been taken by them. It is now believed he slipped his collar and has been picked up. There were some gypsies around at the time, but cannot be sure it is them. Dog warden and local vets notified.

The photo is quite similar, but he does have black on his head. It is not my dog, I have reported it on behalf of my neighbour, who is very distressed. Tim, the owner used to work at the stables with his partner, before she died. They took all the other dogs off Tim, but he begged to keep MOUSE as he was the only reminder of his partner. The owner of the stables and another woman visited Tim today, in the presence of a Council officer. When the women left, Tim went to see MOUSE and found he had gone too.

Does anyone know of stables in Screveton NG13? owners name is Alex (female), this is where we believe MOUSE is

The owner lost his partner two weeks ago, so has severe anxiety, losing the dog is the final straw. Two women from the kennels where he used to reside called on him this afternoon, whilst he was talking to a council officer. They then said they were going for a drink in Oakham. When they checked on the dog, he had gone, the women had been holding him. Please check out stables in Screveton area NG 13.

Please do not share a Lost or Found dog before the photo has been uploaded.
Facebook stores the image that it's going to use the first time the page is shared. After that, each time that page is shared, it will use the stored image. So if the page is shared before a dog photo has been uploaded, FB store the 'photo unavailable' image - and keep using that every time the page is shared after that, even after the dog photo has been uploaded.

Sorry to see that MOUSE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (91815)

  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
