Any news? Just wondered if the pound thing was followed up. I was concerned as the pound dog shown was due to be pts if not claimed. I did send a message to the poster on that forum and told them to contact Beagle Welfare but had no response.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Folkestone police have been very co-operative on this crime and request any further calls to us with information be passed onto the officer in charge. We thank the support from other dog owners generated from the recent publicity-keep those calls coming in!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The possible sighting was at fairlight country park- ( hastings area?) LOCAL HELPERS please confirm location. A similar looking beagle dog was seen in a car by a fellow beagle walker who went to talk to them. They seemed very relucant to give much information and said the dog was their sons. ANY one in this area please poster as much as possible. Thank you C.J.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

South East news are going to run Freddie's story tomorrow now so watch out for it as not sure whether its going to run on the morning, lunchtime or evening bulletin. Both the cameraman and the reporter were really nice when they came round our house and seemed very keen to help get Freddie back. Heres hoping it does the trick!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

you will be fine - just decide the sentence you want to say (ie: "Dog theft is rife, be careful owners and keep an eye out for Freddie") and then repeat it, no matter what journo asks you. That way, when they edit it, the only thing they can use is footage of you saying exactly the message they wanted you to get out there! Easey peasey. Thanks for doing this Jane and keep me posted on what comes out from it!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Kate, I will be looking out for your boy and printing some of the posters off and placing them a bit further a field like - willow woods etc. and taking copies to my training club. Have you noticed anyone asking peculiar questions about him, I only ask as I was stopped with my dog six months or so ago by an irish sounding chap in a car - who arosed my Suspicion. I do hope that he comes home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I Hope so much that Freddie is found safe and soon !! My heart goes out to you Kate, it is a truly awful thing for someone to have done. I used to live in Deal and it is an area I know extremely well . I do suggest you poster as much as possible as Deal is the sort of town word gets around in. Try asking all the local pet shops to put up posters and also vets in case he has been sold on locally to unsuspecting purchasers and also do the same in Dover and Sandwich if you can. Leave posters with pubs too ...........Deal has enough of them !! A good area to target with posters is the seafront walk along Wellington Parade as so many dog walkers come there from all areas of Deal. There are some metal bollards you could attach posters to at the end of Wellington Parade where the tarmac pathway joins onto the pebble road just where the houses start and also a metal sign near the car park opposite Walmer Castle. I will print up posters and send to people I know living in Deal but unfortunately I now live far too far away to help in person. If you have the time or someone to help you it might be worth just approaching dog walkers using Wellington Parade and the Strand as so many walk along there dailyand showing them a poster as word can get round very quickly amongst dog lovers ! Also if you know the walk that goes over 'Hawksdown' at the back of Walmer Castle there are many places to put up posters including the railings at the back of the castle grounds. Come home soon Freddie xxxxxxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Kate, say what you like how you like (within the realms of internet law!!). Nothing can prepare you for this sort of crime. What we need to do is make Freddie far far too hot to handle. Was the burglary during the day or at night? Do you have any clues at all? Please don't post them here but email me on sherlock@doglost.co.uk or pm me through here and we'll see what we can piece together. Don't worry you aren't alone... someone knows where Freddie is... we need to find them. Dee xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Not another one taken during a break in - what do we have to do to keep our dogs safe these days? If we take them with us they get nicked from the car, if we leave them at home ditto. If we have one that 'fights back' we have a dangerous dog on our hands. This is a sick, sick world. Hope this youngster is found, and fast. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

owner - please contact local papers as soon as possible on this one - preferably by lunchtime tomorrow. they will run it. would send it out for you today but do not want a compromise an ongoing police investigation that I do not know anything about. the last thing I want to do is publish to the whole of Kent a Beagle pup has been stolen and it messes up any intelligence work the police have planned, or forces the thief to move the dog on. HQ have all my contact details if you do need a hand with this but, please, please make a call by midday MondayLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, dog training clubs, petshops, schools, deliver to houses etc. Ask postie, milkmen and binmen to lookout. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Freddie. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
