- BEANY IS HOME !!!!!!
25 days later and found by two workmen thin and dirty in the road near where she went missing from who called her owner from the number on her tag.
She's been to the vets who has checked her over, provided medication and a suitable diet to aid her recovery.
She home safe now in the warm much to her owners relief.
She asked that I pass on her heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped search over the last few weeks.
My thanks too to Peter , Michelle , Graeme and so many other local supporters that have searched, postered and shared in Hope that this day would come.
A very big welcome home to you Beany , you've become quite the local celebraty over the last few weeks !
I'll personally be coming for a cuddle in a couple of days :) xx - 2015-09-23 21:03 Gnasher - Area Co-ordinator, East Dorset
- No further known sightings sadly but people in the Branksome Chine area will be aware as posters are out in the area. Thank you to whoever has been helping get those out, they really are our eyes and ears. Thanks too to Beany's owners friends and others searching of whom I've met a few of today walking the area.
More posters going up tomorrow to widen the search area.
come on Beany show yourself xx

- Sadly as yet no confirmed sightings since 14/9 and those we have had we have endeavoured to follow up.
However late last night Beany's owner took a call from a lady who had seen posters and had spotted a white dog darting into the woods running up from Branksome chine towards Penn Hill. It's not known if it was Beanie or not, just a small white dog.
Helpers have been out searching the woods in hope it may be her but no sign of her or any other dog :(
Given the lack of sightings over the last 9 days and proximity to home it is possible that Beany could have ventured this far and it is an area she is familiar with.
There are already some posters out in the area but if anyone can help more are always appreciated. A search of this area will resume in daylight today x
Am bumping her page in view of the possible sighting. The postcode region BH14 has already been alerted Last edited: 2015-09-23 01:06:57 by Gnasher - Area Co-ordinator, East Dorset - 2015-09-19 17:13 WeaselBH23
- No sightings in Luscombe Valley today, very warm this afternoon but ground is wet, very boggy towards rear (my dog was not keen to venture far without me). Do you need help with distributing lost posters over a wider area, or leaving a scent trail? I will be visiting my parents in Canford Cliffs tomorrow morning, and walking my dog around area again, happy to help. Have you considered contacting k9searchdog.org? Perhaps one of their bloodhounds could track her?Last edited: 2015-09-19 19:05:41 by WeaselBH23

- Beany's bed has been situated in a safe place in a garden where one of yesterday's sightings occurred and all houses have had flyers popped through their doors.
Sadly there has been no news at all today and no known sightings 😦 - 2015-09-14 12:28 Gnasher - Area Co-ordinator, East Dorset
- A further sighting of a lone JRT in Brudenel Avenue last night between 5 & 6 pm
Her owner is searching and getting further posters out
come on Beany, it's time to go home x - 2015-09-14 07:55 Gnasher - Area Co-ordinator, East Dorset
- Additional photo added to show facial features and owners landline number.

- Some hopeful news of possible sightings both on Friday and again this morning around 11am (Sunday).
A lady has called Beany's owner to say she saw what she believes to be her on Brudenell Avenue near the corner of Brudenell Road which isn't far away and is off Shore road , Sandbanks by the Luscombe Valley Nature reserve.
It's said that the sighted dog was seen following some way off a woman walking her golden labrador - 2015-09-13 12:49 Sharon - Social Media Volunteer

- This has come up on my fb as a 'red Jack Russel Terrier'. I think it should be the collar colour that is red?

- Having spoken to Beany's owner this evening I have established that Beany ran of following a scent from the end of Elgin Road towards Alton road where a metal barrier that crosses the road to a dirt track. She has been missing since 4.45 yesterday (10th Sept) and as yet no known sightings.
She is wearing a collar with up to date contact information and the warden and vets have been informed. She is chipped and have asked that the chip company are advised she is missing.
She would normally cone back quickly when called.
She is familiar with the wooded areas both by Elgin Road and also the woods near Brownsea View Avenue and it is thought she would know her way home from there.
The family have have been postering and putting flyers though letterboxes locally.
I have suggested they place a scent item in the area she ran off from in a safe place.

- Sorry to hear that Beany is missing, I have popped a comment under a facebook page called doglost dorset under her poster post by nikki. I have suggested if searches could be unnderway re lilliput woods and the woods at elgin road. aswell as surrounding areas . I assume Beany is still missing? I have also advised people take along some posters also of her doglost to post about the area and get some awareness out that she is missing incase she is sighted where they can make contact via the posters in the area. doglost dorset facebook page is an excellent community to join who are already underway in pulling together to help in finding Beany . She is being shared on social media and posters will help re area search/updates. the doglost dorset page is great for immediate contact re passing word on sightings if possible to join. Please update if beany is found. Last edited: 2015-09-11 13:29:37 by kimberley ball
