Fantastic news.....did loads of sharing to key sites on FB for Nessie ...one of my favourite breeds....from now on treat her like a child.....never ever let Nessie out of your sight....too precious and as you have learnt, thieves come in many disguises! This mother should be absolutely ashamed of herself....I hope she's reading this and I encourage the police to give her a caution which will stay on her criminal record...to be dishonest like this is unforgivable and is motivativated by greed and disrespect for Nessie, her true owners and the community .....your cards are marked lady !
Welcome home gorgeous Nessie xxx

So pleased to see Nessie is home safe and sound. Stay safe. Xx

Glad she's home but I too think she is far too young to be left outside alone. Personally I wouldn't leave any dog out alone these days.

It seems that the girls who had said they had seen the dog being picked up by someone were trying to mislead the owner. Their mother actually had the dog & she had even said to the owner how sorry she was that Nessie was missing.
All the posters that had been put up by the owner seemed to work & word got out where Nessie was. I had to 'persuade' the police to attend the address where the owner was waiting to get her back. :)
She is now home :)

Have advised owners to contact the police & try to get a crime ref number, as they had spoken to one of the girls again & it seems likely dog has been picked up.

There have been no sightings at all.
Owner has done some posters & is doing more.
Apparently the 2 girls who were in the area said the dog had been taken by someone in a 'posh car' but could give no further info, so owner is doubting what they have said!
Keeping fingers crossed that someone is keeping her safe until tomorrow & will inform dog warden.

Have spoken to owner who tells me that dog was in a fenced garden ( along with another larger dog) & about 5pm they noticed it had gone. She is a 4 month old puppy which could have gone under the fence, but they think it could have been taken, as there were 2 girls hanging around & also at a different time a lad wearing a hoodie ( seen by neighbours, no further desc')
Dw has been informed & local vets & police.
Am emailing advice sheets
Has been shared to doglost cornwall fb page & other local pages.
Have also advised to check house & garden thoroughly in case she has mistakenly been shut away/locked in somewhere
