You're right Neighbark..I don't know what the answer is...In an ideal world it would be fantastic if each microchip was also a tracker..that way everyone would know exactly where their dogs are..and this would deter thieves.. Wish someone would invent one!! x

Once the massive FACEBOOK campaign got underway- This dog was never going to be dumped, because she became invaluable . The thieves knew she'd be difficult to sell on as now so famous, and They made contact but asked for more than the offered reward price, and got it! The owner clearly now threatened and very intimidated and is now covering facts to protect identities....so the travellers are laughing and will do this again and again. What is the answer?

Fantastic news..so pleased Alice has been reunited :-)..I agree with Nicky B..A lot of travellers go round in vans to do odd jobs and a lot of scrap men trawl our streets..so its very easy for them to see dogs at front doors. .looking out of windows..being taken for a walk..If I'm near home after a walk, and scrap vans are passing..I never go into my house..I walk a little further till they've gone, so no one knows which house I go into..x

another lovely happy endings but dog owners beware. a dog missing recently on doglost was found on a travellers site. the police immediately acted on doglost information but police stated more and more dogs that vanish are found on sites - all breeds all ages.

Quite simply Jaycey they don't care if they get a bad name as it's all about the money, though they jump up and down and shout loud enough if anyone dare accuse them of dog theft or any other illegal activities. It is worth visiting all these sites and handing out reward posters and they will work out if it's worth the hassle to hang onto the dog and breed from her or just take the reward. What a nightmare. Wishing owners the very best of luck

This has been posted by the owner a short time ago....

Just had a phone call from an eye witness:

A stall holder has witnessed a group of 6 or 7 travellers and would recognise the young boy approximately age 10 who had Alice in his hands.

He was shouted at by one of the men, "put it up your jumper don't let anybody see it"

They then walked through the stalls taking a short cut to the car with Alice stuffed up the young boys jumper.

They are still feeding through on fb with NORTH WEST L14 postcode which is common once details have been changed. :(

Chick is right on the border between England and Wales, it is probably worth altering the Oswestry area as well, that is the next place of any significance when you drive towards London, going the other way it's Llangollen.

Just to say, don't know about Shropshire, but, as lady has stated, a car boot sale does take place at Chirk Airfield on a Sunday.

Thought the registered details were not right, postcode and Region. Have found luella on fb who has registered ALICE on DogLost.

Have updated the details. Chirk car boot sales is in Wrexam LL14 postcode has been registered wrong.

Email alerts will require sending out again.

Fingers crossed Alice is found soon, great she is MICROCHIPPED.
