Why can`t these thieves simply make a phone call, even if they do tie a dog up and leave it to be collected!!!!?? I know that isn`t right either but anything could have happened to Jim before he was found. A couple local to me had a similar thing happen last year, their young dog was listed on Doglost after he disappeared but his sister came back on a walk, they searched everywhere and postered etc; 2 weeks later his body was found just a few hundred yards away on the local railway line which had been searched many times and he still had his collar and tag, was clean and local neighbours that overlook the line said he was definitely not there a few hours before. He had obviously been released to make his own way home when too hot to handle. Cowardly scum. Glad this has turned out well for Jim though !! :-) xxx

This is wonderful news. He was obviously takenn, and abandoned, when he was made "TOO HOT TO HANDLE" Well donw to all those who shared. Stay close now Jim:-)xxx Made my day

Fantastic news that Jim is home safe and has magically managed to keep himself clean and dry for all this time. I know Boxers are clever but that is exceptional ;-j Well done to all who made Jim red-hot! Stay safe from now-on, poppet.

Come on now Jim. Please get found, as you have been seen All xd.
LillyB
No luck last night 😔 but the trail will stay for a week or so as long as it doesn't rain too much.
On the plus side we have had a couple of possible sighting... But I can't expand on that just yet.
We are going to have some leaflets made up to distribute. So we will need volunteers at some point to help.
Also, we need to widen the postering area so no matter where in Bolton or surrounding areas you are please print off and put up anywhere you can think of.
Please start sharing in groups in Bury, Manchester etc.
Keep talking about him. Keep looking. Keep questioning.
If someone has him we want him too hot to handle.
LillyB
Over 500 shares!!!! Thanks everyone! We've talked to so many people today and they have either seen the posters or seen him on Facebook! Words as got out! This really helps our moral.
Fingers crossed he picks up the scent trail and comes home!

I live in Priory place and will ask the neighbours. I know a lady asked my son earlier if he had seen him. I have shared on my page on FB 'Skys lost & stolen pooches' as know how it feels to have a pet missing. Hope you get Jim home very soon and we'll keep our eyes and ears open x
LillyB
We are going to attempt a scent trail this evening. So we ask that people leave the area from 10pm. Just so the trail isn't walked over too much.
Thanks

We will be doing this later this evening when it quiet end down. There's an industrial estate near by that is loud so I think he would hide for most of the day.
Today we'll be contacting DW, vets etc and postering.
Skywalker99
Have you done scenting/left bedding or clothing where you last saw him or where car parked?
LillyB
Can't sleep :( glad to see so many shares though.
If people could put a poster in the local shops or even speak to other dog walkers when you're out it would be so helpful.
We're going to spread the word as much as possible today. Talk to every dog walker or walker in that area.
We really need to canvas the houses in the surrounding area too.
Where are you Jimbo? :'(
Unknown
Hope this gorgeous lad is found soon. Stay safe Jim until yolu are found Paws xd
LillyB
We've done an extensive search of the area around Hews Grey with no luck.
The difficulty is the area behind has so many paths and cuts throughs.
We are going to poster the area but if people can put posters in the surrounding areas that would be amazing! Mainly Tonge Moor, Crompton Way, Thicketford Rd, New Lane, Harwood.
Mand61123
Sorry to hear this will keep my eyes peeled for him. Have also shared on Twitter & facebook.Last edited: 2015-09-14 23:41:03 by Mand61123
