So pleased he found his way home. It never ceases to amaze me how resourceful dogs are! I saw his poster up in the shops which prompted me to check his status. Well done Jack x
Annjo
So happy Jack is back. He did well to avoid all the hazards of the busy roads. He must have been so frightened - Bless him x

Great news:)) Welcome home Jack.x

Hi Milly, I am so pleased. Please can you make sure your friend gets in touch with Karl Walker 3308 at Broxtowe Police Station and let him know that Jack has turned up.
Milly
Pleased to say that Jack was found last night he had made his way home to my friends garden , I know she will want me to thank everyone for their help

We went as promised to Broxtowe Country Park, it is very large, has large areas of dense woods, deep denses shrubbed banks down to a stream and would need a whole task of volunteers to search thoroughly all the area. However we spent two hours walking round the park and spoke to everyone we could especially dog walkers and showed the poster, but no-one had seen him. We went to the nearby Broxtowe Police Station which was quite large with lots of pandas outside and I spoke to Karl Walker 3308 who said he was not aware of Jack being missing and he took the poster from me and a printed full description as given earlier and said he would put it up on the notice board. I do hope this little guy is found soon.
MichelleJM
Yes, if he was seen on Highbury Vale that is what he's done. I would assume he went down Broxtowe Lane, unless he went from the Country Park, in which case he crossed at a very busy section. I haven't contacted anyone. I assume the dog sitter is doing all that?
snowyowl
Does that mean he has crossed the busy A610 which is a dual carriageway. He needs to be found quickly. We will go to Broxtowe Country Park on Sunday just in case. Has anyone local contacted the local beat bobbies or been to the schools. Children are very good at finding things.

Thank you!

Drove home slowly (school traffic) via Highbury Vale and David Lane in case he was heading backwards. Sadly, no sign.
MichelleJM
No sign of him. I asked the guys who do the street cleaning on the market. They have been there all day and haven't seen a loose dog like Jack. I showed them his picture. I thought maybe the smell of food would entice him!
Milly
My husband had a look round Highbury Vale and also went to Jacks home this morning but no sign
MichelleJM
I am searching around Bulwell Market and the riverside at the moment.
Marong
There have been two sightings of him in Highbury Vale
Milly
Jack lives in Mapperley Park so doubt he could find his way back there
MichelleJM
He has been out on street life for NG8 a couple of times already x
MichelleJM
Sorry to ask another question, but if he was with a dog sitter, where does he live? Is there a chance he could be making his way back there? I see he went missing next to Broxtowe Country Park, is that where the dog sitter used to walk him? I can go search around there this evening and tomorrow. Hope he is gone soon x
Marong
I am going to stick posters up today and tomorrow I will be printing more to put through letterboxes
Marong
Jack went missing on Frinton Road NG86GR
snowyowl
Thanks for that Milly, I have added that information to Streetlife. Lets hope Michelle is able to help with the search
Milly
Jack is my friends dag and he ran off from the Westleigh Road area of Broxtowe whilst with a dog sitter so he won't know the area at all

Posted on Streetlife yesterday as promised for NG9 (as can't reach NG8) As I have been notified by Animal Search today I will send it out again. It states that Jack is 8 years old, his colour is Black, Grey and Brown with a docked tail and is wearing a black leather studded collar with a tag with its name and owners contact number. He is also microchipped. He disappeared from his garden. He is very friendly. Michelle I wish full Post Codes were listed, it would be very helpful, I have also been given Central NG8 area by Animal Search, what about ringing the owner to get a more accurate district, when you find out let me know so I can update the details on Streetlife. I wish you all the best.
MichelleJM
Whereabouts did he go missing. NG8 is a very large area and I can help search if directed to an area.

We will be looking for Jack in NG16 area. I would get the posters up on lampposts etc as soon as possible if I were you. Do hope he is found very soon. X

Have posted on the NG9 area of Streetlife.com. Unfortunately my Streetlife doesn't stretch as far as NG8 but it is next door.
Just a thought it might be a good idea to ask helpers if they are registered on Streetlife as this my way of advertising and I also help AnimalSearchUK and do it for them as well, and I suggest to Shopkeepers and Businesses to print out the poster and display it, and I also get good feedback. I got told of a cat rescue that I wasn't aware of.
