Very sadly dear Roly's body has been recovered close to home. This was a few weeks ago, and Ive not been able to reunite him before now. Sleep in peace lovely boy, your owners did so much to find you,and my sincere thoughts are with them
Mollychops
This is very close to where he went from , fingers crossed it Roly. Owners have tried so hard to find their boy
zen
have advised owners to poster in the area of possible sighting and bumped to the top of page

A possible 3rd sighting of Roly in Ashleworth! At 08.30 today a lone dog matching Roly's description in Ashleworth, Gloucestershire was seen walking along Bloxham's Orchard path possibly heading towards the fields that can be accessed from behind the post office in Ashleworth.
Could we be getting closer to bringing our boy home for Heather and Robin. I believe that together with your help, we can help mend their broken hearts.
Any help would be hugely appreciated..

Jo Cotswolds. 96119 is a cat. Have you got the number wrong? Xx
Jot cotswolds
96119 found dog ..worth checking
Doglover
Please do not give up hope Louise. Have you checked if there are any Travellers sites near, they seem to like collecting dogs and if they are feeding him, maybe that is why he has not come back. Xx

Never give up hope - Roly is chipped and we know of dogs being re-united once the chip is read. I have shared.

Has anyone mentioned to you the method of scenting a trail back home even tho he knows the area well. In basic terms it means collecting your pee and in a sprinkler leave a trail back to your front or back door. You can also do this with cut op small pieces of old clothing. Perhaps its time to restart a poster campaign

Louis never give up hope he is out there somewhere waiting to be found .Is there any rabbit or foxholes you may have missed ?
Louise
Losing hope now. How can a dog just disappear into thin air? In a rural village where he knows his surroundings inside out. We have tried listening devices down all badger holes. Had cameras under ground down the badger holes. It just doesn't make sense, how can he just disappear? Roly come home, we miss you so much.
charlie and sooty
shared...Time to come home now Roly x
zen
come on roly you need to be home and safe, the owners are doing so much to try and find you
Louise
We are all in agreement that Roly is not likely to be in Stroud. The sightings were almost certainly another dog similar to Roly. We feel as though Roly could still be close to home possibly gone to ground or injured somewhere. Have tried listening devices down holes but sadly nothing.
Mollychops
Absolutely agree Flaggy , back to basics , check and double check home area
zen
i have advised the owners family to not rule out this dog may still be closed to where he went missing and the dog or dogs sited in stroud and harefield beacon may not be roly, but we will keep all options open
Louise
We have met up with the lady who sighted the dog at Haresfield Common. She has seen more pictures and is certain that it was Roly. She took us to the spot where she saw him at 1.30pm yesterday. Postering everywhere. Feeling hopeful...
Jot cotswolds
Contact the royal mail sorting depot at Salmon Springs..they have dozens of drivers on that stretch of Painswick road all day long and early mornings.
zen
Patrol done around Beeches Green, Stratford Park, Salmon Springs etc, nothing seen
zen
radio gloucestershire informed and will hopefully be doing a request on their station
zen
there has been a sighting on haresfield beacon yesterday, although there is a similar looking dog that does take itself off for walks in that area that lives locally so could be this dog...
Mollychops
On Tuesday a poss sighting at a School in Nelson St , then shortly after sighted at St Roses School 3.30 pm . Last sighted on the same day outside Stroud on the Painswick rd
Mollychops
Ive had 2 terriers from slightly north of you stolen and subsequently dumped in Stroud , So We have to keep all options open. If an owner hears of a possible lead , we follow up .
Beaglemum
Stroud is the other end of the County and miles away. Can't imagine he has found his way over there unless he was picked up and dumped. He went missing just a couple of miles away from us. The worry is that he is stuck down a badger sett or foxes earth and also we have the badger cullers operating in that area so that is a concern also. I have driven around and shared info with locals and my agility club which is just along the road from where he went missing.
Mollychops
That's good news
zen
bumped to top of page due to media cover in the stroud news and journal
Louise
A huge thank you to you all for all your help so far. Together we can bring Roly home.
Mollychops
Flaggbag has contacted the Stroud Dogwarden

Thanks Jayne, There was a possible sighting in the Painswick area yesterday afternoon not sure where exactly , and another possible one Stratford Park area Stroud. Not sure when. We will update when we know more
Update * The sightings by the Stratford park and the School there were 4.30 yesterday.
Owner is going to see if the children can be given posters which is a brilliant idea, as Im sure they will love the idea of a reward !Last edited: 2015-09-23 13:34:25 by Mollychops
