I've just been speaking to her about ID tags and she said she doesn't feel she has thanked you enough and would have liked to meet you in person and let you meet the dogs but I said you are rather a long way away !

I feel like the secret millionaire on a much much smaller scale hahahaha!!
Thank you everybody, your comments are very kind and put a huge smile on my face xxxx
Just one question ....... what are the dogs names? The kennels asked me and I had no idea, no wonder they thought I was a bit strange!!!

I spoke again to the owner who is still a little ' gobsmacked ' someone could be so kind !
Both dogs have been quite subdued since they got home but I guess they are probably felting a little shell shocked after 2 nights in the kennels but both have eaten well and I'm sure after a peaceful nights sleep they will feel much brighter .
Their owner doesn't have the internet but is hoping to use someone else's if possible to post on here but I can assure you she is extremely thankful to SueD ! xxx

Sue D you are a truly wonderful and lovely lady x
SueD
Everybody's lovely comments have made me so happy that I helped these two lovely pooches find their way home today. I agree the council should help people to get their dog back rather than adding to your misery. I would be devastated to lose one of my 3 babies and not be able to afford to get them back and it is a vicious circle the longer they stay the bigger the bill gets and so the problem goes round and round. Thanks again for all your lovely comments and again glad I could help xxxLast edited: 2015-09-28 17:24:43 by SueD

aw brilliant Sue you are wonderful.... hoping they were given a chip each and owner can get the tags asap..really makes me cross when Councils/ kennels wont set up a payment plan, costs more to keep dogs in kennels to get them rehomed .....welcome home you 2 now stay there lol xxxxLast edited: 2015-09-28 16:39:49

Lovely story to read, happy they are Reunited, and Sue you are an Angel, so very nice of you to help them get home. x
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Oh shame the kennels charged the extra ! But so kind of you to pay. I was so worried about these two dogs along with lots of other local people so a big thankyou for your act of kindness which had touched so many hearts and made such a difference to these dogs and their owners . Have already advised re getting ID tags for them ASAP. Once again thankyou so much SueD
oliver07
now that is cheeky not to do that fantastic of you thanks once again xx
SueD
I know all she could say was 'erm I don't know what to say' lol You are all welcome, glad I was in a position to help. Cheeky kennels didn't give me the £25 discount either and added a bit to the original £150 but hey who cares they will be home where they belong today and that is what it is all about. The owner tells me she is going to ground them for a week lolol xxxLast edited: 2015-09-28 13:13:19 by SueD

Oh SueD that is wonderful !!! I spoke to the owner after you had phoned her and she was in a bit of shock that someone could be so kind ! I noticed how relieved she sounded too .... her voice was so happy compared to how stressed and worried she has sounded previously !
Once again THANKYOU so very very much xxx
oliver07
hi im admin on yorkshire animals lost and found i would like to thank you so much for all your help your a wonderful lady SueD
SueD
All done and the owner is off to pick them up xx
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
SueD you are an angel !
Maybe they want to check with the owners first ? Or I wonder if it because of the £25 fee the council have deducted ?Last edited: 2015-09-28 12:56:53 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
SueD
I have spoken to the owner and to Cliffe Kennels. Cliffe kennels seem a bit suspicious of me and have asked me to ring back in ten minutes. ???
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
SueD that is extremely kind of you ! I'm not sure what the reference number fur them is . If you like I can ask their owner or you could call her . Her number is the second one on this page xx
SueD
is there a reference to quote if I ring Cliffe Kennels? These two have touched my heart this morning and the longer they stay there the bigger the bill so it makes sense to get them out today.
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
That's very kind of you rottie x
SueD that's a very kind offer xBoth owners of the dogs are on job seekers allowance and won't have any money until the end of the week and then as you can imagine they won't have that much to spare anyway. .
Doglost are working together with a group locally and are trying to set up a 'go fund me ' payment plan for these dogs . Once this is set up a link will be added to this page for anyone who would like to help get these dogs home ! . Or anyone wishing to help with the payment could contact Cliffe Kennels directly on 01226 762391 but please update us if you do xxLast edited: 2015-09-28 12:00:34 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
rottie
i can contribute £20.00 if would help, not sure how we go about it though
SueD
How much can the owners afford? I may be able to help with the balance to get these babies home
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Unfortunately the council won't set up a payment plan but will deduct £25 from the outstanding bill which still leaves the owner with £125 to raise and of course it will increase by £25 each night for two dogs
NickyB
pls all dog owners out there spend £4 for an ID disc from pettag. finders can then phone you immediately, and then avoid dogwardens and fees. and finders like myself are saved a huge amount of time ourselves trying to find owner.if we cant sometimes only solution is dogwarden. microchips are brilliant BUT INVISIBLE and finder then needs to take dog to get scanned - not always possible if vets closed etcetcetc. it saves you the owner so much time and upset and the dogs too if they had id tag on.
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Unfortunately the owner of these lovely dogs doesn't have the funds to get them back and has to speak to the local council today to see if they will arrange a payment plan for them . Everything crossed something can be sorted out x
ClaireC
Looking good for going home xx
BigGSDPatlucky
Very lucky owners
So pleased they are being claimed
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
The owner has come forward for these dogs. I won't move them to reunited until I know they have been collected from the holding kennels
Their owner said that the lighter coloured dog is a husky cross Last edited: 2015-09-27 10:48:05 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
