- Couldn't manage to post this earlier from my phone but...
I know the lady who found this dog running yesterday afternoon and got her to safety, as she is a member of our little agility group.
She had taken the little dog to her vet to advise she had found it and to be scanned for a chip which would hopefully indicate she was lost, but no chip could be detected anywhere. The little dog did not have a collar, and hence no ID tag, so for the dog's safety of handling in and out of car etc she bought one for her. She wiped her eyes clean.
This lovely lady does not have internet, smart phone etc so drove round, and asked people locally if anyone knew whose dog it was. There are a couple of very busy roads in the area. She couldn't see any posters up about a dog missing.
So, anxious to find her owner she brought her to agility tonight as she knows that many of us with internet follow posts about lost dogs, in particular local ones. Straight away we recognised her as being the same dog several of us had noticed as being posted as missing. We quickly found her page on DL to check the likeness and found the phone number which she immediately phoned to tell the family, who arrived very swiftly after, for a wonderful reunion. The lady was delighted that Weazel was reunited back to her family. And it was a joy for us all to witness such a happy ending.
