I've cross posted from Facebook for those not on it
"
Today has been quite an eventful day at St. Francis, not only have three of our dogs potentially found new homes, one of our dogs has found his old home!
Zac the Patterdale arrived at St. Francis in October from the Cornwall council dog warden service. Dear little Zac was picked up out of hours and handed into a vets. He was originally lost in Devon but somehow he ended up over the border in Cornwall. Zac was wearing a collar and tag when he went missing, however he managed to lose these on his travels. Zac's owners had heard a Patterdale matching his description had sadly been involved in a fatal RTA and had given up searching for him. Recently she stumbled upon doglost.co.uk and was amazed to see a photo of Zac AKA Red, he had been found alive and well (minus his collar and tag) he was sent to St. Francis and was up for rehoming. She contacted us and sent pics asking if we recognised her dog and asked if he was ok. By pure chance Red AKA Zac was still with us!
After seeing loads of pics, checking where Zac/Red was picked up and where she had lost him we could confirm Zac was indeed RED!

He has been picked up by his family and is now returning home."

So pleased Red has been reunited with his owner. I have shared the post to the Woolsery Community Group facebook page where this chap was found to let them know, as there were several people there who did their best to try and find the owner.

I am so delighted Red is finally home again. A lot of people tried really hard to publicise his predicament on various facebook pages and both Devon and Torridge Dog Wardens were notified as Max says. He was taken to a Bude vet which is why he ended up with the Cornwall Warden. Thanks for the call Max, it's so good to get good news. Welcome home Red !
