Could this be Tips? It says that no microchip was found, but thats not unusual and still could be your girl. http://www.lostdogsuk.co.uk/assets/dog-reports/1480506796/30-0.RBWM-291116-0943.pdf

Found in IP14 Suffolk Sunday 7th February 2016 a very emaciated lurcher/greyhound/saluki type female light honey coloured, all skin and bones wearing a collar looks very similar to Tips but a very long way away from where you lost your dog. Do you have an email?
Penny
Thank you Fergal
Rang the numbers given but no reply so left message.
It does look like Tips but the dog in the photo looks a bit paler than tip she's more golden.

Recent sighting in Wellington was, unfortunately, a false alarm as there is a similar looking dog that is regularly walked/exercised in the local park.

Tips has now been missing since the beginning of October and I, along with friends, believe someone has taken her in and is looking after her. I'm desperate to get her back so if you have her or know who may have her please get her to the vets/local kennels to get her chip checked to confirm her details and/or phone 01884 35782. She can be collected from anywhere. Thank you all once again for your help
Penny
No.....we keep looking and hoping.
charlie and sooty
Has there been any further sightings or news on Tips please? x
Penny
Not sure we will need to look at the feasibility as there are lots of dogs being walked in that area and wildlife.

Bumped due to the possible sighting, can a feed station be set up in a safe place close to the sighting?
Penny
Possible sighting this morning in Wellington Park....Between Wellington and Rockwell Green. Been there all afternoon and put posters up.
Anyone in that area please look out for her.
Penny
Thank you Niki

Sorry i've not been on here for awhile..... no updates, we have had no sightings of Tips - its now 5 weeks since she went missing and we are so desperate now.
With the kind help from a few people on here there are posters everywhere.
Penny
I'm hoping the lady who rang me lunchtime on my mobile and left a message could call me back.... such a bad signal I couldn't get all the message or your telephone number.
Penny
Possible sighting running along the A38 about 10 days ago, don't know direction.
Hopefully she is still in the same area.
Thanks again Jasper you are so kind.

Few more posters put up in a wider area - Neroche, churchstanton but they are rather sparse I'm afraid.Had a word with a postman and a forest worker who will tell his colleagues to keep an eye out. Great that you were able to get Tips in the local paper. I've got everything crossed!
DogLostJasper - Area Volunteer, Somerset
Had a drive round and put up a few more posters. Was hoping to have a word with the men logging at top of Corfe and also the forest road down to blag don hill but I couldn't see them today. Have put posters near the shoot at the manor - lots of rough ground and pheasants everywhere which is reassuring. Hoping for some good news when the paper comes out.
Penny
Been out searching around the Blackdown hills and Wellington monument over the weekend but nothing.
More posters are up.
It will be in our local paper tomorrow hopefully more people will see that.
A big thank you to Jasper for all your help.
Not sure what else we can.

Had a good drive round today but nothing to report. 25 posters up around the area so hopefully they might jog someone's memory. Tried to cover Taunton / Wellington side of blackdowns as much as possible. Went to the stables and asked them to spread the word- the lady I spoke to had seen the posters in uffculm. Do hope for some positive news.
Penny
Thank you Jasper
We walked along the Beacon today spoke to many horse riders and dog walkers no sightings but at least more people know and are looking.
We moved a few posters from one area and put them around there and we are trying to get more information to pin point the location.
If you are fortunate to see her don't be surprised if she doesn't come to you because she is very timid.
I'm very grateful for all your help

Had a drive round today but no sign I'm afraid. Will poster general area tomorrow and hope they bring some sightings.

I will get some posters printed this evening and get them up tomorrow- hopefully there will be more news by then and we will have a better idea of which area to concentrate on. I will also have a drive around today. I will text you my mobile number later just in case you should hear anythingLast edited: 2015-10-22 10:28:44 by Jasper - Area Volunteer, Somerset

Hi Jasper
No we are not sure where but we are going for a drive this morning.
The people who saw her were riding horses in the area so if you know anywhere horse riding is it could be there.
Thank you very much its very kind of you.
If we find her or see her I will post on here.
Thank you

Penny, do you know where in the blackdowns the possible sighting was? I am in that area tomorrow so could have a drive round if you have any more info. I know the area fairly well so can go back with some posters but unfortunately won't have time tomorrow.
Penny
Possible sighting of Tips Taunton side of the Blackdown hills
All we know is a Lurcher has been seen, people tried to catch it but it ran off.
If you are in that area please look out for her.
Many thanks

Thank you for the link 71Ceri, the one sighted on the link is believed to be male and has been in the that area for several months. Encouraging in so much as it shows how well these lurcher can survive on their own. There is more about him on this link http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=93118#.Vhvrg9pdE28

Update from owner:
Hi
Nothing really to update, posters have been put up in a number of locations and neighbours have put them in their car widows.
We continue to search but there’s not even been a sighting so far. My friend lives about 7-8 miles away so there is an outside chance that Tips is making her way across country.

Sorry to see that TIPS is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (92919)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
