I think the fate of this dog was in the hands of the police .

Has he been reunited then? That would be marvellous! His fb page still seems to suggest that he is still under threat of euthanasia. Really hope he is reunited with a loving owner.

UPDATE from HORSFORTH PARK DOG FACEBOOK PAGE:
"RED ALERT!! Sunday 18th October. We have received further updates about our Horsforth Park Dog from an annonymous source. Our boy HAS been classed as a banned breed but we have NO information on whether the owner has come forward or not to take him through the court process. Without this registered owner he will be destroyed and we have reason to believe that his time is up as of TOMORROW 19th of October. We will provide the FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE to the owner to take him through the court process but we don't know who you are, please come forward and contact us either at Horsforth Park dog, Murphy Murphy Smith, Get Murphy Home or Murphy's Army without delay! We need you ALL to share this post to every dog page and buying and selling page that you can think of right now. Please get him on twitter too and lets flood social media with him today, this is his last Chance! Xx"

This dog's only chance is for the owner to take him through the court process to save him. Financial and legal assistance is available for the owner to do this. This dog is microchipped, so someone somewhere must have loved him enough once to do this to help ensure his safety if he was ever lost or stolen. He is not to blame for the type of breed he is or that he was abandoned tied to railings in a park with no one to care for him or speak on his behalf. Who knows what horrors this poor dog has had to endure and now he faces being killed tomorrow ...

It says on some sites that this dog is in danger because he is believed to be a certain specific type and that when he was found he had a lot of cigarette burns to his body.It also says that the dog has shown no aggresstion to humans or other dogs .
