Dumped in Southgate, thieves didn't even bother to make sure he was safe, at least they don't seem to have got any money for him, no doubt being on the London ITN news bulletin helped http://www.itv.com/news/london/2015-10-16/stolen-pug-mascot-found-after-itv-london-appeal/

Thank god he is home safe.....I would like to think social media activity and press, news exposure made the theft realise this little pug was way too ho to handle! If the theft is reading this karma means you will have your day to answer for all your crimes against society and with the courts now enabled to consider emotional harm sentencing can allow for this.. For now stay safe little man and forever close xx

Great to see all the social media support and the efforts from the members here on this site - when I called around the local vets earlier most of them were on the case already. Saracens Rugby Club have Re Tweeted (RT) the Barnet and Whetstone News piece to its 55K followers this afternoon and famous local pug lovers have been asked to RT too! Posters are up locally with more going up too! Thanks so much for the kind words as well! We will get him back!

Aurelian is the Saracen's Rugby Club under 9s mascot. Owners original facebook post has had 4.8k shares already. Suggestion in comments on FB that if dogwalker was followed there is CCTV at Cockfosters station (and probably along the route).

Okay, we need to share the location and smother the area in posters. I would guess, it had to be someone who visits there regularly and took opportunity, or, someone who deliberately followed the dog walker knowing what the routine was. Could well have been targeted. See if dog walker remembers anyone following or asking questions or acting a bit odd. Any little clue is worth following.

Thanks for the kind posts of support...he was taken at approximately quarter to 2 this afternoon from Derwent Avenue in East Barnet...he had been walking with his dog minder in Whitings Hill and had just got back from there via dropping off other dogs on the way back.

Aurelian has already appeared on several local Facebook pages early this evening that I have seen and has apparently been put on more and is being shared. Will keep eyes peeled on walks, but hope he will turn up very soon.
